Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.

Most forgiving blush formula? Glossier Cloud Paints.

Brush that changed your routine the most? My Sonia G Worker Pro brush! Sweet cheese and crackers, I love my Sonia G brushes. I need to invest in more.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? CoverGirl + Olay Advanced Radiance and Simply Ageless Foundations, mixed together. They’re thick, but don’t look thick when they’re applied, they’re a perfect light-medium coverage and they make my skin look amazing at the end of the day, somehow. Abysmal shade range though.

Your skin tone/coloring: light, cool
Most forgiving blush formula? either MAC’s Extra Dimension or Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush
Brush that changed your routine the most? the stubby little Shiseido slightly angled kabuki brush (the old one, not the newer, synthetic replacement), Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and MAC’s 130 short handled duo fiber brush
Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? None. I’ve been getting along nicely with Australian Gold tinted facial sunscreen, sometimes topped off with a powder foundation like IT Cosmetics Celebration powder.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, neutral
Most forgiving blush formula? Satin to slightly luminous
Brush that changed your routine the most? Wayne Goss Brush 14 for blush. Previously I had used a densely packed blush brush and never liked how blush looked on me. I got the Wayne Goss brush in a Beautylish lucky bag and it’s now the only brush I use for blush.
Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? Glossier Skin tint. It tones down my redness and adds a little bit of glow.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair).

Most forgiving blush formula? Hourglass and Nars. Several by MAC, too.

Brush that changed your routine the most? Everything by Luxie Brushes that I own has been a game-changer! Excellent quality synthetic brushes. Something I need since I have an allergy to goat hair.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof foundation in NC41. Even though it’s at least one full shade too light, I use it anyway and just incorporate more bronzer into my looks. Can’t go and swatch a new foundation, so I just work with what I have.

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with warm yellow undertone, dark brown hair and eyes

Most forgiving blush formula? MAC matte blushes, I’m not the best at applying blush and I find it easy to blend and build

Brush that changed your routine the most? MAC 217… a day long time ago when I discovered blending and not using fingers or brushes / sponge tips that come with palettes…
Also, if talking blush, the Sephora Angled Face Brush definitely change in a good way how I apply blush and made me use it more often… too bad it’s discontinued (and their new angled brush is not close).
Also, as a brush lover… Real Techniques Setting Blush… talking about a multi-tasker one can do the entire face with when traveling…

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? I only open and use one foundation at the time, so I am just running through the last drops of the Even Better Refresh foundation from Clinique

Your skin tone/coloring: Below my name

Most forgiving blush formula? Powder with a satin finish. It is the easiest for me to blend and to correct over application. A cream blush might be more flattering but I can never get the placement right and always manage to apply too little and then too much when I try to build it.

Brush that changed your routine the most? A big fluffy brush that came in a Sonia Kashuk set I found about five years ago. Before that brush I was afraid of powder because I always applied too much.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? Mirenesse cushion foundation. I am trying to use up my foundation stash and I found this in the back of a drawer. I will enjoy using it up.

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones, grey hair and brown eyes.
Most forgiving blush formula?
I really like the MAC Extra Dimension blushes and Dior/Chanel blushes. I have yet to purchase one blush from either Dior or Chanel that hasn’t been perfect.

Brush that changed your routine the most? Wayne Goss Air Brush. I have three of them and use them for blush, highlighter, contour and bronzer, although the last two are only rarely used. For me it is the perfect size to buff out blush and highlighter. Depending on the formula of the product I will apply with a stiffer brush and then really buff it out. The air brush just works for me although it wasn’t marketed for use as I use it.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? I have three that I have really been enjoying lately but the most used is the YSL Cushion Foundation. I apply it over the Dior Cushion which is not an actual foundation but lays down a protective layer that is suppose to block out pollution and leave the skin plumper and dewy. The YSL is a much lighter foundation than I normally use but for the summer it works well and then I just spot conceal any areas where I need more coverage.

Your skin tone/coloring: deep tan + yellow undertone
Most forgiving blush formula? Daniel Sandler water color blushes.
Brush that changed your routine the most? Learning to use a smudger brush to add eyeshadow as liner. No brand in particular
Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? Rare beauty

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, pinkish, almost translucent, some freckles. Strawberry blonde / light golden blonde and ginger hair that bleaches in sunlight. Blue eyes.

Most forgiving blush formula: I‘ve haven’t found a blush formula or color I love in so long. I prefer bronzer or illuminated bronzer… Never again when I’m wearing my black taffeta Katie Gallagher mask! Sometimes I wear IT Cosmetics Lip Vitality stain lipsticks as blush or Perricone MDs spf 15 No Lipstick Lipsticks / lip balms in Berry and Red. Hopefully Melt’s newest launch will have a glowy blush for me.

Brush that changed your routine the most: IT Cosmetics brushes. A lot of them. Double please don’t hate me: KVD edge contour and concealer brushes.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately: Doll 10 T.C.E. Super Coverage Treatment Concealer or IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealing Pot instead of the usual Bye Bye Under Eye concealer in the black tube and Bye Bye Foundation spf 50. Still using their Celebration Powder Foundation but it makes masks a mess inside.

Your skin tone/coloring: Light with lots of red
Most forgiving blush formula? Hourglass blushes
Brush that changed your routine the most? My first better quality fluffy blending brush (quite a few years ago), the Mac 217
Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? None

Happy Wednesday!
Your skin tone/coloring: Above
Most forgiving blush formula? Daniel Sandler Watercolor blushes; Ulta cream blushes (Sunrise, Sunset); Beauty Pie Cream Blush
Brush that changed your routine the most? Rephr brushes; all of them but especially the #16 brush and #1 brush
Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? Chanel Velvet and Lancome stick foundation

Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20

Most forgiving blush formula? Clinique Cheek Pops

Brush that changed your routine the most? A stippling brush

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately Revlon Colorstay

Your skin tone/coloring: under my name, brown hair w/highlights, hazel eyes
Most forgiving blush formula? Hourglass
Brush that changed your routine the most? Wayne Goss brushes which sent me down a rabbit hole, now I have a few sets of beautiful brushes which will last me a lifetime.
Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? I’m still using what’s left of my Bobbi Brown foundation it will probably last the whole pandemic at this rate.

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Most forgiving blush formula? Clinque’s Melon Pop because, if you use a lighter hand, you can build it up.

Brush that changed your routine the most? Two brushes actually: an angled blush brush (Real Techniques) that enabled me to apply my blush properly and a couple of fluffy brushes to blend my eyeshadows properly.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? L’Oreal’s True Match foundation in porcelain rose – lasts all day, lightweight on my skin and it has the pink undertones. As a bonus, it is often on sale.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Most forgiving blush formula? Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush. It’s impossible to apply too much, and it blends out beautifully.

Brush that changed your routine the most? Most recently, the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Total Coverage Powder Brush. I’ve been looking for several years for a replacement for my ancient natural hair Bare Minerals Flat Top Kabuki brush that has been discontinued for God knows how long. Nothing applied powder foundations half as well, till I decided to try this one. It might even be better! Only $10, to boot. So soft, dense, and nice and big.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation (DC). I recently hit pan, and then I have one more backup left.

Your skin tone/coloring: Light/medium
Most forgiving blush formula? Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks
Brush that changed your routine the most? Wayne Goss #12
Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately?Pixi H20

Your skin tone/coloring: Pale, blue eyes, dark hair

Most forgiving blush formula? For me, it is more about the brush/application in terms of forgiveness, but I think that softer powder blushes tend to be easier to work with in a rush.

Brush that changed your routine the most? UD Optical Illusion buffing brush really stepped up my foundation game and got me away from disposable sponges years ago, and that was a godsend. I’ve found cheaper buffing brushes for foundation that I like just as much (haaaay Real Techniques), but I do still use the UD one when it’s clean too.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? NYX Total Control has still been my go-to, but I just started trying the ordinary’s serum foundation, and I think they’re sorta similar, at least in consistency.

Most forgiving blush formula? Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes. Knowing Tarte’s core audience I assume they’re made for people who like a more natural finish, and even some of their brighter, deeper colors start off very subtle on the skin but can be built up

Brush that changed your routine the most? The Blusher Brush from Slmissglam is my go-to brush for almost any highlighter and liquid blush. It’s small enough that the application is concentrated enough for highlighter, but also dense enough to properly blend out liquid blush (I’ve never been a fan of using large fluffy brushes for liquid blush)

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? I only use one foundation at a time, and I haven’t really been wearing foundation since COVID sent me home from school, but when I do wear foundation it’s the Cell Boosting BB Cream from Nature Republic

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool

Most forgiving blush formula? I’m naturally very ruddy so putting blush on after I’ve done foundation is always kind of fraught because I’m thinking, I just covered this up! But I like Colourpop’s x Mulan blush in Matchmaker. It looks like nothing in the pan but it brings just enough life back into my cheeks after foundation so I don’t feel washed out or with overly bright cheeks.

Brush that changed your routine the most? IT Brushes for Ulta #211 is a big ol’ fluffy brush that’s helped me diffuse my bronzer so finely that I finally am able to get that very soft glow of shape and color I’ve been after.

Foundation that you’ve been reaching for lately? I just started Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation and so far I’m liking it. I haven’t tried to do anything too intense with it yet but so far I’m liking it.
