I have heard great things about using Monistat is a primer! Does it keep you matte?
Honestly, I’m probably the wrong person to ask–my skin is insanely dry. 🙂 (I layer the primer over heavy moisturizers.) I *can* attest that it does a fantastic job smoothing out my skin (I have large pores and some texture) and making my foundation last longer, though!
My nose does get a little shiny after a 12-hour day despite the primer, so I don’t know quite how it would perform on oily skin.
I have oily skin and I’m not a big fan of facial primers tbh but if there is one I do like it is monistat anti chaffing gel. It mattifies pretty well

What’s on your lips right now? Bite Lavender Jam. It’s a great surprise for such a bright, cool purple to be so wearable. It doesn’t make my teeth super yellow or clash with the warm times in my hair the way super cool toned (particularly silvery or blue) lips often do. Magic!
What’s on your eyes right now? “Naturally” full brows faked with Anastasia powder duo in Medium Brown with the light shade used throughout the brow and the darker one only in significant bald patches, Meduim Brown Brow Wiz drawn in hair like strokes only in sparse areas, and Benefit brow gel in the brown shade to hold the hairs in an upward angle; black mascara; Becca Poured Pearl highlighter on lids; Mac Powersurge Kohl on waterlines only.

Sorry for the novel. I couldn’t resist because it came out exactly the way I hoped. I’m loving bright colors right now but also undone or less structured shapes. I feel like this look came out trendy and pretty but relaxed, kind of like an IRL interpretation of one of the beautyisboring looks.

Skin: Cool & warm Combination tones, Super Light. Undertone cool, alabaster-ish. Paler than ivory. Often use colorless face powder; even the lightest powder shade is too dark on me. I’m also covered in lots of Warm toned, caramel & beige, freckles all over.

Color corrector for under eye dark circles- Rimmel hide the blemish concealer stick, soft honey. (Pale yellow hides the blue-purple of my eye circles better than any pale neutral stick can.)
Foundation- Estee Lauder Double Wear cushion stick Radiant Makeup, in a very pale shade. Used this as concealer to even out excess redness, I don’t like to put foundation all over my face.
Loose setting powder– Palladio Natural Rice Loose Finishing Powder in Translucent
Contour- None. Don’t have time for that on days when I do smoky eyes!
Blush– None. Not needed today. When I’m healthy, my face is naturally pink/rosy in my cheek areas.

Lancome x Jason Wu All Over Face palette (the cool toned brown and purples with the bronzer to warm it up and the gold over the purple to make it less sick-eye on me-I’m still trying to figure out how to use this palette in a way that looks flattering on me) with a warm brown color from the Cargo Venice palette as eyeliner. Benefit eyelash primer mascara and Physician’s Formula Organic wear mascara (the basic one, since apparently there are about seven in the line).

So, I rediscovered a bunch of Physician’s Formula items I bought last year and never got into using, lol. I’ve actually been loving them. The tinted moisturizer is 100% the wrong color for me, so I’ve been mixing the yellow primer into it to make it less pink and setting it with the translucent powder, which is actually slightly yellow. I’m in love with the powder. It’s the first one in a while that doesn’t absorb sweat weirdly or make my face look cake-y as soon as I put it on. It’s not remotely mattifying, but it works well at setting everything and creates a good texture for blush.
Things I forgot: NYX Tame and Frame tinted brow pomade in blonde (definitely a warm blonde, which doesn’t fit my hair color so well, but I like it overall), NYX dark circle concealer in fair, Tarte Aquacealer Concealer in Light.

What’s on your eyes right now? Marcelle Mulberry eyeliner from my Birchbox. I was testing it out, wasn’t that impressed. Disappointed because it’s waterproof and I wanted a dark purple eyeliner but it was hard to apply and didn’t last that long.
What’s on your face right now? Mixture of Estee Lauder EE cream and BareMinerals Skin Rescue in 01 Opal. Didn’t mix very well, putting the EE cream on first then putting on the foundation works better. Max Factor Masterpiece concealer, theBalm’s Cindy-LouManizer on cheeks. Love that highlighter!

What’s on your eyes right now? I used Coastal scents Barista in the crease (Warm matte brown) Then I patted Colourpop Hammered (shimmery BEAUTIFUL green!!) onto my lids, then I took Coastal Scents Dark Golden olive (Deep dark almost black olivey green) and blended that onto my outer corners!!!
What’s on your face right now? I used Hard Candy colour correcting primer all over, then I took Maybelline fit me concealer in 20 Sand sable, (Very very yellowy!!!) And I used that under my eyes, and a small dab on each cheek!! Then I used rimmel clear skin translucent pressed powder all over to set, a QUO shimmery golden bronzer, then I used the Balms Mary-Lou Manizer!!

Plus the first black eyeliner I saw to tightline (Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Black) and Loreal Miss Manga mascara. It’s intersting to read what people have on during a work day. When I wear makeup, my friends never believe I have anything on even if they get very close to check it. Maybe I do it too lightly but I figured it’s good to look makeupless, right? All I usually use is SPF powder on my face (any brand really, the lightest shade or the next to lightest), a lip gloss or a lip balm and an eyeliner over one of the lightest Mally Beauty shadowstick. If I am really trying, I could add a lip liner, curl my eyelashes a bit, add a touch of mascara on the very tips and wipe it off with a finger so it doesn’t transfer on my upper eyelids too much since my eyeliner always transfers no matter which brand I use creating a line above the crease. And if I really have time, I may add a touch of blush on my cheeks very lightly, one layer. I used to do some light contouring with powders but gave up on it years ago since it takes too much time and no one sees any difference, anyways.
If I go for an interview or anything work related, I try to wear no makeup at all or cover my eyelids with white eyeshadow too look more Asian and conceal an eyelid crease, wear glasses, pull up my hair back, mess it up and create under eye circles using dark eyeshadows, so no one dares to perceive me as a pretty girl. Here in Hawaii, a good looking white girl has virtually no chances of being hired anywhere besides acting jobs despite a good education. They say she will create a potential sexual harassment lawsuit in an instance even if she is married. What a wild, wild world. I miss my Europe.
