Drunk Elephant C-Firma
I returned a NARS Mekong eyeshadow. It was beautiful and swatched amazing in store and even felt like a feathery cream. The one I got was dry and thin feeling and it wouldn’t translate on the eye. I replaced it with another Mekong and this one feels and applies a bit better but I’d say not worth it. Too late to return now though.
How do you find C-Firma?
I’m not entirely sure.. I’m on my second bottle and have been on/off it for about a year, but there’s nothing you can really point to and say like, it’s definitely the C-firma working.
I can only say that the packaging is A+ for preserving the ingredients, it has not made me break out, it applies well and it layers well under my moisturizer/sunscreen and makeup.

Nars Impudique blush. It’s really lovely, but when I put it next to Goulue (of which I own a sample and full size, LE, and now discontinued) it was just too close. I’m sure it would have swatched a bit differently, but not enough to entice me to keep it. I returned it untouched.

I last returned Chanel’s Architectonic palette (not because it wasn’t good, but because it wasn’t good enough to justify the high price)
1) I’m on the paler side of n15 (if mac had an n12, I would be about that). My undertones lean cool – I have blue/purple veins, look better in silver than gold, etc – but frankly I prefer the way warmer colours look on me so whatever.
2) Last lip product worn: Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Honey lip cheat topped with Walk of Shame lipstick.
3) Last skincare product I finished – hmm, probably the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I go through that stuff so fast. I’m not convinced it has any major skincare benefits but it’s the most refreshing thing ever on a hot day (always hot where I live currently)
4) This is tricky, I rarely return bummer makeup or skincare products because some stores have such strict policies and I’d rather hand them to someone else than go through the hassle. A bad pair of top large jeans from shopbop – would that count? Otherwise, the EltaMD UV Clear sunscreen which I got sent in the tinted formula.

I bought Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream by mistake because the description on the Sephora web site was confusing (it’s for redness due to dryness — the right product for my rosacea is the Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment, which I have) and returned it un-opened.
Wtf? I got a mini cicapair bec I thought it was centella asiatica based and good for breakouts! Hasn’t been a problem though. I’d better look on a dedicated dr jart site and cosdna it. Big S is not always the ultimate authority! Almost done with the ultra light, too. Backed up. I use a lot of that and tried them all. The other resist one on eyes and perioral, bec basically I’m semi-oily and old.

Last skincare product you finished? Drunk Elephant B Hydra Gel. It feels very light but it really doesn’t provide much moisture. It was fine in the summer but I couldn’t use something so light in the cooler months.
Last product you returned?? Hmmm…. I don’t return much, trying to remember… Oh yes, the Lancome x Sonia Rykiel eyeshadow palette in the cool tones. The shadows were just so muddy.

Lt-med coolish. Hey, it’s a day off. Have worn 2 from the velvet glide set: chez Claude and 675. At 6A I tried the Paula berry pencil that is the most brown toned. 3 is enough, even for a day off.
Almost done with Cosrx aha/bha toner (Snow/Cat Cactus says the Mizon is better, even with alcohol. It’s next. I won’t tell Paula I’m going to cheat on principles!) and recently finished the Paula body oil spray. That, with the body butter layered over, is great for neglected feet.
Don’t think I’ve returned recently, except a very pretty light sweatshirt to the Rack. In raspberry to cranberry. For all its attributes (organic cotton, etc.) it wouldn’t fit 2-3 layers under it. Getting so used to wearing men’s stuff that women’s cuts often seem too skinny and not roomy enough. Esp for my cold winter house!

Burberry holiday lipstick set; after hitting “buy” I figured out how LITTLE product I was actually going to get, for MORE than the price of one lipstick. They are VERY small, like a quarter of the size, and although the packaging looks nice, it didn’t feel that luxe. Had I seen it in store first, wouldn’t have made that mistake.
Skin tone: NC23 with warm, warm yellow undertones. Dark brown almond/hooded/monolidded eyes, long curly reddish brown hair.
Last lip product I wore: I had my 4th root canal today, so I too a small amount of Sephora Brand Geek gel ink in 01 Peony, and I buffed/patted that into my lips like a stain!! (And totally played up my eyes!)
Last skin care product I finished: My The Face shop glow prep butter. It’s a thick face cream that adds a bit of a sheen to the skin. But it keeps my oily/dehydrated skin so soft and comfy!! I really adore it and need to buy another tub of it soon!!

Last lipstick worn: Elizabeth Arden Red Door Red. I lined with the liner and then used the lipstick for better wear time.
Last skin care finished: I finished a Tatcha Rice Powder and a Mario Badescu rose herb spray. I am a sucker for sprays and practically drown in them daily. I don’t know if the Tatcha Rice Powder does anything or not but I do love how smooth my face feels after using it. I am trying the Pacifica Rice Powder next and want to compare to the Tatcha, which is expensive.
Last product returned: I haven’t returned anything in awhile although there are a few things I wish I had returned with the Huda palette being the most recent. I normally return things I don’t like but it is so far away from where I live that the gas to go there would be more than the palette so I will hold onto it and see if my daughter might want it.
Hi, Deborah. I like the Pacifica Rice Powder, but I like almost all of the Pacifica products. I haven’t tried the Tatcha rice powder, so I can’t compare, but Pacifica is pretty nice and does get your skin smooth. If you want something that really gets your skin super soft and smooth, try Jack Black Face Buff Energizing Scrub. It’s got menthol in it so it’s kind of minty and refreshing, too. 🙂

Everything seems to apply or oxidize into slightly more brownish versions, which are probably prettier, but I wanted harsher berry and rusty tones. Same story over UDPP. I might try the Melt Rust Stack for my sickly orange fix next. Lol
