Three products you couldn’t put down this month? Milk Kush Brow Gel, Armani Black Escasty Mascara & Clinique Nude Pop blush
Favorite cheek product this month? Clinique Cheek Pop Nude Pop Blush
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? Lime Crime Venus XL II
I’ve been wanting to try the Milk Kush brow gel. Which shade did you purchase, Erica?
I purchased MJ. I’m weary of most brands shade for brown hair. Most run dark or darker. Its for cool blonde shades. I’m not blonde but my brows aren’t super dark either. A med coolish brown? It works nicely actualy
I hear you. Most brown shades read red on me and the ones running cooler in temperature are far too dark and make me look like scouse brow. Thanks!
Your skin tone/coloring:
Light-medium, yellow undertones
Three products you couldn’t put down this month?
Ulta Island Glam eyeshadow palette (trying to pan it — it’s almost a decade old), ABH Subculture, Colourpop Sleeper pressed pigment
Favorite cheek product this month?
Motives blush in Tahiti (also in my project pan and VERY old)
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month?
ABH Subculture!
Your skin tone/coloring: light/medium, neutral undertone
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint, Milani bronzer in the shade Sun Kissed, Becca highlighter in the shade Moonstone
Favorite cheek product this month? e.l.f. Primer Infused blush in the shade Always Cheeky, a very fresh looking peach that is somehow more neutral/cool toned than you would expect a peach blush to be. It’s very pretty.
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? I’m probably one of the few people that wear makeup that doesn’t own even one eyeshadow palette. I’m a “one and done” shadow gal. My holy grail??? WnW single in Nutty. Makes my blue/green eyes pop!
I love WnW Nutty!!
Me too. I really should take it out to use more often.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes).
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? FAB Ultra Repair Cream, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Jack Black lip balm.
Favorite cheek product this month? Hourglass Ghost Quad.
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? I have barely worn any eye makeup all of March due to moving and being just too busy, plus having a terrible outbreak of eczema on my eyelids. Really hoping that this heals up quickly so that I can get back to wearing my eye makeup! The FAB Ultra Repair Cream and The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid have been helping to soothe the broken out areas along with using a little hydrocortisone cream.
Be careful with the hydrocortisone on your lids. One of the derms said (snottily and archly) YOU THINNED YOUR EYELIDS!!! I wanted to clock him for his condescending and bombastic manner, but he is right.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair – neutral leaning cool
Three products you couldn’t put down this month?:
1. Sydney Grace single shadows
2. IT Cosmetics Cc Cream
3. Hourglass Ambient Edit Ghost Palette
Favorite cheek product this month?: Colourpop Frisky Business
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month?: ABH Soft Glam/ColourPop Blush Crush
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam, Laneige Lip Sleeping Balm, CoverGirl + Olay Advanced Radiance and Simply Ageless Foundations.
Favorite cheek product this month? CoverFX Monochromatic Duo in Soft Peach (paired with the Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam; they layer beautifully).
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? Coloured Raine Safari Raine palette.
I’ve been eyeing the CoverFX Duo blush for so long, but I’m on a low/no buy. This remains on my wish list and one day I know I will give in…
I’m on a low/no buy as well! BUT! If you do decide you want one, they’ll only be $15 at Ulta on April 3! Definitely worth at least that.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? MAC Laissez Faire lipstick, Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Au Natural, and MAC Glow Play Blush in Blush Please
Favorite cheek product this month? MAC Glow Play Blush in Blush Please
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? I didn’t think I’d ever say this, but I haven’t used any eyeshadow palettes this month! Just LM Caviar Sticks.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with warm yellow undertone, dark brown hair and eyes
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? I still `force` myself to wear make-up almost everyday (at least work days), but even if I keep it light, I always have concealer, brow gel and mascara on. The NYX brow gel I currently have it’s not that great (can’t wait to finish it), but MAC Prolongwear concealer and the KUSH mascara are products I really like in my routine.
Favorite cheek product this month? MAC Harmony, quick and neutral
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? As always, my only custom made palette
I’ve been pretty depressed. Haven’t touched any of my makeup at all this month 🙁
Cat, I’m so sorry. I know the feeling too.?
Sorry to hear this, CatG. It’s been a tough month for a lot of us. Hope you’re able to find something to make you feel better soon.
I hope you start feeling better, Cat. I think a lot of us are feeling depressed given the times we are living through. I know that I have been and if it weren’t for my art I would likely have just stayed in bed with the covers over my head for the past 6 weeks. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
I only wear makeup when I’m going out.. so..yah, there has been zero need or desire to wear makeup. Last week, I started playing around with my stash just out of sheer boredom. I found it improved my mood. i live alone and have chronic illness and I take meds which make me more susceptible to illness and so I’m feeling ridiculously isolated and paranoid. I went grocery shopping yesterday, first day out of my place since the beginning of March, and a woman in the grocery store wearing a face mask actually pulled her mask down so she could cough EVERYWHERE. I thought I was going to lose my sh*t. I wanted to punch her. I was so stressed by people and their selfish reluctance to observe social distancing that by the time I got home I had to have a nap. Hang in there. This situation is just bloody awful.
Hi Cat – I hope you are feeling better soon. Are you seeking some professional help? It may make all the difference to how you feel, from someone whose close relative had a bad dose of depression.
((Hugs))
(((((Hugs))))) It’s been a depressing month.
Sending you hugs CatG. I’m sure the social distancing doesn’t help, but I’ll be thinking of you.
Skin color – warm/medium, Mac NC 30-35
Haven’t been much into makeup this month, that’s saying a lot, because I love makeup.
Cheek products this month. Bobbie Brown pot rouge in Calypso Coral
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month – been using the Scott Barnes SNatural. I really like it, but some of the shimmers have to be sprayed with Fx Plus to make them pop.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate and Glow Oil, Too Faced Peach Blur Finishing Powder, MAC Full Fuchsia lipstick (I could put them all down – they weren’t Krazy-Glued to my hand but I enjoyed them and used them a lot)
Favorite cheek product this month? MAC Sweet Sentiment Mineralize blush
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? Natasha Denona Mini Glam (not sure it was my favourite of the month but I used it quite a lot – probably more than any other palette)
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones, grey hair and dark brown eyes.
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? I haven’t worn a lot of makeup this month. Between social distancing and my feelings about how this is being handled, I have been in a bit of a funk. the only thing that I have used consistently is my skin care.
Favorite cheek product this month? I have worn Dior 999 most of the past month.
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? Marc Jacobs Steel-etto. Been doing a lot of one and done looks.
Your skin tone/coloring
Fair light neutral
Three products you couldn’t put down this month:
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawaless Filter (fair) and Hollywood Contour Wand (fair medium) and Fenty Pro Filt’r Setting Powder in Lavender.
Favorite cheek product this month:
Colour Pop Frisky Business Pressed Powder Blush
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month:
I’ve barely dipped into any of them honestly, most used though would likely be Huda Nude Obsessions Light
?Your skin tone/coloring: Light Neutral leaning cool
?Three products you couldn’t put down this month?
1. Natasha Denona 5 pan – palette 2. Thought it was a bit ho-hum, but it is a perfect low-key which seems to be my thing lately. The shimmer shade 40M Lavender Gray is the clincher
2. Fenty Pro Filtr Hydrating in shade 150 – revisiting this foundation and I like the colour match and the finish. Finding it works beautifully over the new liquid Tatcha primer for glass like skin.
3. The Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush – beautiful colour if you hate yellow/orange bronzers as much as I do
?Favorite cheek product this month? I keep going back to Sydney Grace Paris Skies. It’s so so pretty!
?Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? See above top three
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? L’Oreal’s True Match foundation in porcelain rose, CP’s lipsticks in LA Lady and Foolish.
Favorite cheek product this month? Covergirl Clean Air blush mosaic in peach. Love it.
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? That’s hard! Lancome’s Jade Fever, Naked 2, Chanel’s Tisse D’ Automne, Pixi Beauty Reflex Light.
Skin tone/coloring: Light, neutral leaning warm with green eyes and honey brown hair going VERY white/gray at the temples and in streaks (my profile pic is from before I stopped coloring my hair)
Three products you couldn’t put down this month: I’ve been all over the map this month, due to shelter-in-place orders and being a teacher, and trying to do distance learning while figuring out what doesn’t look too garish/weird on camera. Critical products include Versed Skin Soak rich moisture cream, which is hydrating without irritating my rosacea. Also Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Natural Perfection Foundation in 00N Porcelain, which seems light but melts into my face even when I slap it on in a hurry. I’m also all over my Urban Decay 24/7 liners which never let me down, no matter how slipshod I’m being.
Favorite cheek product this month: I have a hard time picking one because two have become my BFFs — NARS Deep Throat when I want more of a pinkish tone and Milani Baked Blush in Rose D’Oro when I want more of a warm peachy tone. Both go on well and blend in like *does Italian kiss-hand motion*.
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month: One nice thing about working at home has been rediscovering my palettes. Naked 2 has been serving me very well, and I’m looking forward to doing more with MAC Natural Vice since I have a bit more time in the mornings.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? Checking my coronavirus furlough beauty diary, that would be Marc Jacobs Enamored Ch-Ch-Changes lip gloss, my beloved and discontinued NARS Satellite of Love highlighting blush, and a 3-way tie between these 3 lipsticks: UD Vice Scorched, Revlon Super Lustrous Stormy Pink, and L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive 405 Freida’s Red.
Favorite cheek product this month? I’ll put Satellite of Love, because I’ve used it a lot the past couple weeks.
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? I’ve gotten a lot of use out of Melt Muerte.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Three products you couldn’t put down this month? Peach and coral blushes, sparkly sheer lipglosses, and ABH Glow Kit in Aurora.
Favorite cheek product this month? SugarPill blush in Retrograde
Favorite eyeshadow palette this month? SugarPill Capsule Collecton C2 and Sydney Grace Enduring Love (Light)
