Skintone/Coloring: Fairly light, very neutral; dark-featured.

Deals: I don’t do enough online shopping, and since I don’t know of any brick-and-mortar stores that do any, I can’t say. However, Kohl’s & ULTA do give “store cash” for points, so that’s always nice!

GWP’s: Lancôme always seems to have something going on, as well as Estee Lauder.

Most Helpful Associates: The Macy’s at my local mall are always helpful at every counter, but if I had to go with a brand I’ve dealt with in several locations, I’d have to go with NARS. Not only are they willing to “multi-task” when having to deal with several customers, they really know a lot about the brand.

Your skin tone/coloring: in between (a mix of) NC15-NC20
Brand with the best deals? In terms of value products like palettes, Urban Decay. In terms of sales or discount, Coastal Scents
Brand with the best GWPs? Lit cosmetics
Brand with the most helpful associates? I’ve never had a problem with MAC or online Sephora associates

– NC15/20, fair with dark blonde hair, green eyes
– Even though their products are already cheap, Elf has awesome deals all the time. Urban Decay also does do some great sales, and has good clearance.
– Far and away, Lancome. No other brand gives you that many (good!) products for usually less than a $50 purchase. Always tempted to shop with them because of it!
– I don’t normally shop in stores, but I’ve had many good experiences at my local Sephora. Then again, they have been pushy at times. It’s a toss up to me!

Brand with the best deals? Budget: e.l.f. and bhcosmetics High end: Urban Decay and Tarte

Brand with the best GWPs? Budget: e.l.f. High end: Estee Lauder

Brand with the most helpful associates? I rarely go to individual brand counters, so I couldn’t say on that count. My local Sephora has always had friendly, knowledgeable, non-pushy associates.

Your skin tone/coloring: light warm

Brand with the best deals? Hard to say… I guess you’re best shot at getting a relatively good deal here is with the cosmetic chains and the big stores like Douglas, Manor and Globus.

Brand with the best GWPs? GWPs is a pretty foreign concept here, unfortunately. You ain’t getting nuffin’ for free here.

Brand with the most helpful associates? MAC muas have always been very happy and eager to help me

â—¾Your skin tone/coloring: NW-25 light medium cool
â—¾Brand with the best deals? I always manage to find the Balm for half price.
â—¾Brand with the best GWPs? I’m not much of a fan of the GWP but Clinique has some nice ones.
â—¾Brand with the most helpful associates? It not a beauty brand, but I’d have to say Nordstrom.

Your skin tone/colouring: Very pale, neutral skin with some redness

Brand with the best deals: Revlon or Sleek. They usually have buy two get a third free/two for €14 deal in Boots.

Brand with the best GWPs: Estee Lauder. Just got a makeup bag packed with eyeshadow, lip products, and deluxe samples of skincare when I bought my foundation.

Brand with the most helpful associates: I think the US tends to have more helpful/attentive associates than the EU, because some of them here are total rubbish, but in my personal experience: Urban Decay, Nars, Estee Lauder, Smashbox and Dior have the nicest, while Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, and BareMinerals have the worst. MAC’s are pretty nice but tend to not be trained too well.

Skin tone/color: Light, light/medium
Best Deals: City Color Cosmetics, Coastal Scents, Royal and Langnickel-almost always have good sales and their brushes (at least Silk Pro) are awesome
Best GWP: Sephora, Tarte
Brand w/ helpful associates: Nordstrom in general

Your skin tone/coloring: Pale as a ghost!

Brand with the best deals: This one is tough since there are so many good deals out there these days! I think e.l.f. has some pretty awesome deals.

Brand with the best GWPs: I don’t really get many GWPs, but Sephora always has a goodie here or there.

Brand with the most helpful associates: My local Ulta has the sweetest ladies and gents working there. I get good service at most Ultas, but the one by my house has the best!

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Brand with the best deals? Not a brand but I’d have to say Sephora’s 20% off; here in Canada, not many companies seem to have “deals” (like buy 2, get one free) when it comes to makeup
Brand with the best GWPs? Clarins. Their “time to choose” actually lets me choose decent sized skin-care products that really are of my choosing!
Brand with the most helpful associates? MAC. The ladies at the MAC counters nearest me (one in The Bay and one a fairly new MAC store) are so great and so generous with samples, etc.

Skintone/Coloring: Light/Medium with warm undertones, MAC NC25, NARS Punjab

Brand with the best deals: I don’t really know of a BRAND with best deals…Maybe ColourPop, but the retailer with the best deals is definitely Ulta.

Brand with the best GWP: I don’t really buy from brands with GWP (Estee Lauder, Lancome, Clinique)

Brand with the most helpful associates: I’ve always had great, helpful, attentive experiences with MAC and Bobbi Brown

Your skin tone/coloring – Fair, neutral
Brand with the best deals? – Tarte, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Trish Mc Evoy, Clarins, Mac
Brand with the best GWPs? – Estee Lauder, Chantecaille, Tarte, Clinique, Tom Ford (perfume samples)
Brand with the most helpful associates? – depends a lot on a person, no rule her. Recently: Dior, Burberry, Bobbi Brown, Cle De Peau, Estee Lauder, By Terry.

Your skintone/ coloring: MAC C4.5 Medium with olive undertones, deep brunette, green eyes.
Brand with the best deals: Urban Decay for a HE brand. But overall, the best place isn’t exactly a brand, but a store: Ulta. Between their b1g1 half off and other sales, the 20% coupon on ANY brand once or twice a year, and cash points towards a purchase, other coupons…yeah.
Best GWP: Sephora point perks
Brand with the most helpful associates: MAC Stores @ Biltmore in Phoenix and @ Scottsdale Fashion Square. Never had an issue.

Your skin tone/coloring: light with yellow undertones
Brand with the best deals? Tarte hands down, they’re always throwing out 20-30% off discount codes!
Brand with the best GWPs? Uh the best I ever get is through Sephora, or The Bay online (in Canada). Neither are great… Murale (in Canada too) can also be good 🙂
Brand with the most helpful associates? The Chanel counter at the Bay in Edmonton! I love the lady there! She called me the other week to let me know the Vitalumiere foundation price was increasing by a few dollars, but it’s ok 😀

Your skin tone/coloring: NC 20-25, Dark hair and eyes

Brand with the best deals? Hmmm…Revlon? L’Oreal? Nyx? I would say Urban Decay for High end.

Brand with the best GWPs? Clinique–definitely if you like their brand

Brand with the most helpful associates? Sephora and Nordstrom

Skin tone/coloring: Very fair (neutral)

Brand with the best deals: Urban Decay has fairly good sales and most of their combo items (like palettes) are good deals in the first place.

Brand with the best GWPs: I’m more likely to shop Sephora than individual counters, but Estée Lauder and Lancome’s GWPs always look so tempting.

Brand with the most helpful associates: I’ve never met a Sephora associate I didn’t like. They’re good at helping when asked and leaving you alone to browse when asked.

Skin tone- fair with cool undertones with some redness
Brand with the best deals- I think it would be easier to say which brands don’t have the best deals! There are probably more of those! But if I had to choose maybe LUSH. I think for what you get, its a pretty good deal most of the time. And they have the online party in the forums once a year with tons of giveaways, so that’s pretty cool
Brand with the best GWP- I have found that most of the companies that give GWP usually have unusually over scented floral smells to their products, so I stay away from most, but Mario Badescu gives nice little extras when you purchase.
Brand with the most helpful associates- The Mac counter inside our Nordstrom has very helpful associates! Its so refreshing to go into a store and have someone that is truly interested in making your buying experience a great one. I always get that from Mac.

Your skin tone/coloring: NARS Stromboli
Brand with the best deals?: No idea, ULTA when shopping drugstore
Brand with the best GWPs?: Don’t really shop places where this is done but off the top of my head I can only think of Estee Lauder and Clinique. I have tons of make up bags from Clinique and they’re nice and sturdy and kind of free when I restock on eye cream or foundation.
Brand with the most helpful associates?: Sephora? I usually don’t ask for help at counters or anywhere actually but I can definitely say the worst I’ve ever dealt with are MAC associates. Sephora’s associates always tend to greet me warmly and ask if I need any help and when I say no they’ll leave me alone but when I ask to borrow a brush or sponge they gladly lend me one and even disinfect the products for me. They’re also not stingy on giving out filled sample jars.

Your skin tone/coloring: Between fair and light, very cool undertones with warm features
Brand with the best deals? I don’t really know, but the brand whose deals I’ve been taking advantage of lately is Paula’s Choice. I’ve gotten some excellent skin care products at 20% or 15% off over the last three months. I know IT Cosmetics has some great deals on QVC, but I’ve never shopped on TV.
Brand with the best GWPs? I’ve gotten some good ones from Urban Decay, Too Faced, Tarte, and LOLAC.
Brand with the most helpful associates? Make Up For Ever has some fantastically helpful make up artists. One cut her lunch break short at a Sephora store once to come out and help me. The ones at the MUFE store at King of Prussia in PA are not only helpful and complimentary but lots of fun, too. I’ve also had a Laura Mercier associate at a Nordstrom’s go above and beyond the call of duty with genuine enthusiasm. The associates at ULTA in Springfield PA are unfailingly friendly and helpful, while the ones on Walnut St. in Philly, not so much, although still OK. Sephora associates are uneven — some are fantastic, others I actually go out of my way to avoid!
