Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? Garnier Micellar All-in-1 Waterproof

Go-to face cleanser? Clinique Mild Liquid Facial Soap

When do you take your makeup off? Before I go to bed.

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? For eyes, Clinique or Elizabeth Arden bi-phase removers (I have the Lancome one but save it for when I feel I need some spoiling). For the rest of my face, Tatcha cleansing oil or Farmacy’s makeup remover balm or the one from The Body Shop.
Go-to face cleanser? Boscia (I’d been hoarding my last bottle til I discovered LOTS of bottles, very much marked down, at Winners a while back!)
When do you take your makeup off? Usually before bed-time but once in a while, I’ll take it off sort of when I get home from work or my daily activities (but that’s rare). I don’t wear a heck of a lot of makeup so I’m never in a hurry to get it off my skin.

Your skin tone/coloring: Pale yellowish, red hair, blue eyes

Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? I prefer a buttery-texture cleansing balm. Right now I am using one from beauty bay’s brand, and I like Banila Co Clean It Zero as well. I have tried ELF’s and I like theirs as well.

Go-to face cleanser? L’Oreal Bright Reveal Scrub, but I only use it once a day

When do you take your makeup off? about one hour before bed!

Hi! I didn’t replay about my ms. I was diagnosed 32 years ago, before Betaseron, etc. I’m doing ok, 2020 was awful, I had a spiral fracture and surgery. How are you?

Skin tone/coloring: Light neutral, leaning warm

Makeup remover for heavy duty makeup: I don’t really have one, but my usual ritual is cleanser plus microfiber washcloth to get rid of leftover makeup. If I need to, I’ll do a double cleanse. I use Garnier Micellar water with the pink top for lighter makeup removal, like if I make a mistake.

Go-to face cleanser: Peach & Lily’s Power Calm Hydrating Cleanser is a staple, but Ivory brand bar soap also works well since I have very reactive skin and it doesn’t cause any irritation for me.

When do you take your makeup off?: It depends. If my allergies are flaring up or the makeup is uncomfortable for some reason, I wash it off in the early evening so I can let my skin chill out. Otherwise, I just wash it off right before bed, at the same time I remove contacts, brush teeth and etc.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)

Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? Aloe baby oil for my super waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Coconut oil followed up with FAB Pure Skin Face Cleanser, adding some warm water too that combo usually strips off all my face makeup without drying out my skin. Any additional residue left behind gets a no brand makeup wipe!

Go-to face cleanser? Morning: CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser. If I have worn makeup, please see above!

When do you take your makeup off? A few hours before bedtime usually.

Go-to face cleanser? Eve Lom cleansing balm followed by a milk cleanser, usually whatever’s on sale at the drugstore
When do you take your makeup off? At the end of the day, after dinner. I really should do it when I get home from work.

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? I always use a cream cleanser to remove my makeup and if I have a lot of makeup on, I just double dip (use the cleanser twice).

Go-to face cleanser? I rotate my cleansers – currently I am using CeraVe’s Hydrating cleanser – which is very good. Others I have used are Neutragena’s Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel (excellent), Swisse’s Sweet Almond cream cleanser (very good) and sometimes a cleansing oil.

When do you take your makeup off? Always in the shower of a night time.

Andrea Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: very light/ neutral undertones/brown hair & eyes
Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? Elf makeup melting cleansing balm
Go-to face cleanser? Cetaphil daily facial cleanser
When do you take your makeup off? The exact time varies depending on the day and how long I’m out, but I almost always take my makeup off soon as I get home.

Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? Urban Hydration micellar water on a reusable cotton pad + a damp reusable cotton “makeup eraser” cloth.

Go-to face cleanser? Jojoba oil followed by SheaMoisture shea butter soap.

When do you take your makeup off? I usually wash my face at 9-10pm when I take out my contacts and take my night meds. If I’m going out in the evening I’ll wash my face when I get home.

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, brown hair.

Go-to makeup remover for heavy duty makeup? I use the same makeup remover for all makeup; some sort of balm/oil makeup remover with a warm washcloth.

Go-to face cleanser? CeraVe Hydraing Foaming Facial Cleanser. It’s so gentle and one of the only facial cleansers that both foams up in a satisfying way, but doesn’t leave my face feeling stripped everything.

When do you take your makeup off? At the end of the day, after dinner and after my son has had a bath.

My undertone took me ages to figure out! I have a very fair neutral undertone that leans olive in summer. I am part hispanic and I just assumed I had warm undertones. yeah, no hispanic people can have cool/neutral undertones too! lol. I used to wear MAC foundations that their color system is opposite of other lines, so that just left me even more confused. I wore the wrong foundation color for a LONG TIME.

Now, I wear C2 in MAC Face and Body, Light in Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint, B20 in the Les Beige Healthy Glow, Clair 20 in Vitalumiere. I used to always wear the lightest shade in almost every makeup line, but as brands have becomes more inclusive, I notice that the fairest shades are too light.

I use Lancome Bifacils daily. My trick for heavy makeup is a 2x cleanse. The combination of a terrycloth WASHCLOTH (not the fancy makeup erase ones), warm water, cleansing balm and a gentle cleanser. An aesthetician friend taught me that cheap washcloths act has a mild exfoliant and are best for deep cleaning the skin. The cheaper the better she says.

Makeup comes off right when I get home from work!
