Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Best applicator for bronzer? brush
How do you apply bronzer? lightly and rarely
Most used bronzer? Fenty Cheeks Out in Amber

Fenty Cheeks Out in Amber is the only bronzer that works for my skin undertones. Somehow managing to not be warm without being completely grey. Before that I was using eyeshadows as bronzer.

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, warm brown hair.

Best applicator for bronzer? It depends on the bronzer. Lately I’ve been using a more fluffy angled brush for my firmer pressed powder bronzer. But for cream bronzer/contour I use a fluffy, sort of pinched stipple brush from elf.

How do you apply bronzer? I apply a light later of cream/liquid bronzer and set lightly with a powder bronzer using the above brushes on my forehead slightly and on the outer edges of my face.

Most used bronzer? I have big pan on the ND Mini Bronze and Glow duo, the matte side. I love that it is more red toned. I don’t tan and have a lot of freckles, so I appreciate a bronzer that makes me look a little more sunburned, since that is what happens for me naturally anyway!

Your skin tone/coloring: a half-step darker than vampire. tough to tell undertones these days. sometimes it looks yellow, sometimes pink. I swear I was greenish the other day….
Best applicator for bronzer? Fluffy brush
How do you apply bronzer? Around my temples, ON (not under like some kind of orange beard) my cheek bones, a whisper across my nose, and sometimes a dash across the top part of my forehead. I don’t need to diminish it, but color cohesion is nice.
Most used bronzer? Physician’s formula butter bronzer. I *still* haven’t found a bronzer that doesn’t pull red or muddy red brown on my skin besides this one.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)

Best applicator for bronzer? My favorite is an angled Lisa Frank brush by I don’t remember who! I’ve had this brush for many years after receiving it in an Ipsy Bag. No shedding, applies my favorite bronzers beautifully!

How do you apply bronzer? Since all of mine are powder (so far), I use a brush.

Most used bronzer? UD Jawbone followed by Becca Malibu Soleil or Huda Beauty Glowing Bronzer in 03 Light Tan.

Bronzer is really not my thing, I think I maybe use a bronzer product like once or twice a year haha.
I will say I’m intrigued by those Bare Minerals Blonzer products though! I think I’d use more like a blush though.

Your skin tone/coloring: Very Light, Neutral, slight pink undertones.

Best applicator for bronzer? Angled brush. I have been using a cream bronzer for the past couple of years and I love the A507 Angled Blush (BK x Angie Hot Y Flashy). It is such a soft brush, perfect for applying cream bronzer or blush. I have rosacea , which oddly enough is visible on one side of my face (on the right cheek area), therefore I need a gentle applicator and this brush is amazing.

How do you apply bronzer? With the above-mentioned brush, very light-handed, on the areas where the sun would naturally hit my face (top of my forehead, from the temple to the cheek, a little on my nose etc.).

Most used bronzer? Saie Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer in the shade Light Bronze – for fair to light skin with cool or neutral undertones. I’m in love with this bronzer, as it is the perfect shade for my skin tone (not warm and not grey either). Although I have the original Nars Laguna Bronzing Cream
released last year (Laguna 01), I prefer by far the Saie bronzer as it looks so natural and it suits my skin perfectly. Also, I find its consistency to be softer than Laguna’s. I don’t need to set it with a bronzer powder, and on me, it stays well beyond 8 hrs (I have dry skin except the T-zone).

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with warm yellow undertones, dark brown hair and eyes

Best applicator for bronzer? A big fluffy face powder brush, I love my 8-9 years old Marionnaud No31 which most likely was discontinued before I even moved to US 😆

How do you apply bronzer? Mostly on the cheeks, like a blush, which the gentlest touch possible

Most used bronzer? MAC Trace Gold

Best applicator for bronzer? for my denser powder bronzers, i like to use my real techniques ‘blush brush’ tho how people use it for blush i have no idea as it’s massive and i’d be a walking tomato.
How do you apply bronzer? cheeks, temples, sometimes forehead also for cohesiveness as my forehead is tiny. I like to add a bit under the tip of my nose too and if i’m feeling real fancy, a smidge under my bottom lip.
Most used bronzer? tough one as it depends on my overall tonal look but probably my CT airbrush bronzer in fair as I love a good buildable bronzer and the tone is perfection on my pale ass. I think I may be the only person who loves that bronzer!
