~ NW 25, but lightly tanned. Went in the ocean this am and saw 2 striped bass swimming by my legs, three times. Yay. Don’t have big events, but it would be mood light primer and color drops or color fx bb in my usual PC long winded TM. Everyday lips:gone greige or Tarte butter park ave princess, which really surprised me. Don’t much like PAP in bronzer, too yellow. subtle highlighter: Fiona Stiles, the warm pink shade in the trio. Very non-strobe and aging friendly.

Favorite lip color for everyday wear? NYX Pecan Praline jumbo lip pencil! It has an odd, cheap-makeup smell to it but feels beautiful. I got it at the Ulta 20% off sale and I’m so glad.

Favorite foundation for a big event? For something at night, when I don’t need to wear mineral-based sunscreen in/as my foundation, RCMA cream foundation in CS-2, which is supposed to be a counter-shading shade, or a mixture of Gena Beige or OL-1 with Ivory — I’m still refining getting my skintone just right 🙂
Favorite lip color for everyday wear? I have too many favorites! Most compliments ever lip shade, easy-to-wear, is YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #19, Fuchsia in Rage, a very purple-ish fuchsia, so I guess I’d call that my fail-safe lip shade; best MLBB is NARS Sheer Lipstick in Damage, a translucent medium cool bright pink with a hint of mauve to it, but I really look better with more brightness/intensity to the color on my lips, so Damage is for a really natural or no-makeup look day, or for when I’ve got a lot of color on eyes and cheeks.

Whirl, without a doubt if I really need to pick one. But I actually don’t really do “every day wear” when it comes to lipstick. I could wear a super dark purple/brown etc in the middle of July when I’m just going to the supermarket. If it compliments my skin tone, outfit and matches my mood, I’ll wear it!

I would say a cream colour base in yellow topaz, but I don’t use it that often.. I prefer to wear really bright highlighters. If not, I’ll just skip the whole highlighting step. And with the new ABH Sweets glow kit coming out, I don’t think I’ll be adding subtle highlighters to my stash anytime soon ?.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fairest neutral. approx. NW05. Currently loving YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat in BR10 mixed with a bit of Illamasqua Skin Base in 01 (white). It lasts surprisingly long on my oily skin and has a lovely finish. Oh, and it’s the reformulated version if anyone is interested!
Favorite foundation for a big event? Probably one of my long-lasting foundations. As much as I love ones that give you a lovely glow they won’t last long enough on my oily skin. I like to use one of the following three option:
Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + in #15 Alabaster
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Siberia mixed with a pale lavender primer
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NW10 mixed with a touch of white foundation
The MUFE is my usual choice although I prefer the finish of the NARS foundation especially. The main reason it’s my first pick is because it involves no mixing and I’m normally running late and don’t have a lot of time for makeup! I’m trying to get into the habit of giving myself plenty of time to get ready so that I can apply my makeup nicely though. I’m going out tomorrow night so that will be a test to see if I can actually do it!
Favorite lip color for everyday wear? Currently it’s a tie between the Surratt Beauty Lipslique in Perfectionniste and Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo in Conte. Both are subtle and easy to apply without a mirror, even with my shaky hands and usual inability to apply any makeup without a mirror!
Favorite highlighter for a subtle glow? I like quite a lot of highlighters but for subtle I would choose something like MAC Lightscapade MSF. Just the right amount of glow for me. If I really don’t want much shine at all I’ll opt for Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color in WT905 High Beam White, which is exactly as its name describes it. No shimmer, just a satiny sheen. In fact, when I travel, instead of taking High Beam White with me, I’ll take Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color in WT907 Paperwhite with me instead. It has that same texture and sheen in a much smaller compact. ?
