Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Three products you couldn’t put down this month? Embryolisse cream, Dior Forever Concealer, MAC Pro Longwear concealer
Favorite cheek products this month? I don’t think I used any cheek products this month – mask wearing, quarantine after testing positive for the virus – no need for a cheek product at all.
Favorite eye products this month? UD Stray Dog, ABH Mario palette (I’ve really been enjoying Claudia on the outer crease/outer V area); NARS Old Church Street duo.

Thanks, Stephanie. We’re both on the mend though as I’ve said here, I can’t smell or taste anything (it happened quite suddenly) but that’s not entirely a bad thing….the temptation to eat or “Covid over-eat” during lockdown is zero. I’ve actually never had it easier trying to curb my excess eating (I’ve got a dozen or more mini-cheesecakes in the freezer and absolutely no desire to eat them!) Thanks again for your concern.

One of the more surer signs you have the virus is when you can’t smell or taste anything – so that must be quite disconcerting for you. It’s one way to diet – but not the way you want to. I hope you both are getting better, did you have difficulties with breathing?
With your husband’s recent concerns regarding his heart, I bet you were pretty worried.
Best wishes to both of you.

It’s actually not a bad way to diet, to tell you the truth, Genevieve! I already knew I had the virus – I went for testing early on – and the loss of taste and smell started when I was starting to feel marginally better and was able to try to cook dinner! I was sauteing some onions and peppers, husband walked into the kitchen and said “that smells good” and I realized I couldn’t smell a thing. I’ve had 2 bad bouts of pneumonia in past and this virus really did affect my breathing (lots of congestion, coughing, coughing, coughing). As side effects go, the loss of smell and taste, while weird, is one of the better ones (how easy it is not to overeat is a bonus, actually!) Turns out, knock wood, that hubs’s issues weren’t heart related (he had an echo-cardiogram and an angiogram while in hospital and everything, knock wood, is good and they want him to have endoscopy). If I’d told him to shut up and just sit there til the tightness in his chest and the indigestion passed, we’d have dodged the Covid 19 bullet, though! But with his history, chest pain isn’t something we ignore.

Rachel, our entire province is in lockdown again so I’m not really missing anything! (I wanted to buy serger thread yesterday but all the places that sell that sort of thing are closed!) And we really got off lightly in terms of the severity of our symptoms. Thanks, friend, for your good wishes.

Glad you are improving, and that Covid #1, let’s call it, doesn’t whip back on you 2-3 weeks later. From all I have heard and read, the sensory issues cure along with the virus. At least you didn’t have to be hospitalized. The fear with this, of this, yow. I’ve found there’s an odd stigma attached to being exposed or getting it, as if it were somehow your fault. During lockdown, the virus brought out the best in us. (Sorta, kinda, United) Then reopening, which was like opening Pandora’s Box.
