■Type of beauty products you skimp on? Lipgloss. They all seem pretty much the same to me, so unless it’s quite unique, you’ll rarely see me dish out more than $12 for one.
■Type of beauty products you splurge on? Face base cosmetics, like it be foundation, powder, blush, etc. Not a huge spender on skincare though.
■Type of beauty products you can’t stop trying? Foundation! It’s the most important in my opinion because it’s the product that goes on the biggest area (your face!) The right foundation can take you from zero to hero! lol Still on the hunt for my HG foundation though… The struggle.

Right now I’m playing a lot with Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone… I really want to try Guerlain Lingerie de Peau foundation, but I have no vendors near me that sell Guerlain so I have no idea how I’ll pick up a sample or figure out my shade. 🙁

Type of beauty products you can’t stop trying?: Lip balms!! Even though nothing beats the Smith’s Rose Salve for me, I keep trying new and pricier ones – Sarah Happ’s Lip Slip, Nuxe Reve de Miel, Dior Creme de Rose, Fresh Sugar Lip Balm…the list goes on, but none of them beat my Smith’s!

Type of beauty products you splurge on? Lipstick. I’m a little bit obsessed! Guerlain is my favourite lipstick brand. My excuse is that I have very dry, picky lips that flake and shrivel up a at just the sight of most lipsticks. 😛

I’m always on the lookout for shades I don’t have or replacing lipsticks that don’t work for me with another better formula lipstick in the same shade. Foundation as well. I’m determined to find my perfect foundation one of these days! Ideally one where I don’t need to mix with a white foundation to get it to match my skin.

Oh yeah, and lip products. I rarely buy high end lipstick. I bought 2 Fresh tinted lip balms last month and was so sad to spend $22 each on lipstick. BUT I have such severe dry lips that I really had no choice. Thanks to the darn birthday sample, I found out how awesome the fresh balms are and I can’t find anything in the drugstore (tinted) that is as good. Generally, I get my high end lip products in sets. Otherwise, I buy drugstore.

At the moment, I can’t seem to stop trying foundations, deeply pigmented lip glosses (think Marc Jacobs), and brushes. Recently fell in love with the Wayne Goss brushes and Real Techniques brushes.
Skin tone- fair/neutral
Skimp- eye liner and lip stuff
Splurge- foundation and skin care
Can’t stop buying- lipsticks and blushes
