Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.

Eye product you’ve loved the longest? Mascara… I remember sneaking it from my mom’s make up and wearing it out of the house when I was 13 (I wasn’t allowed to wear make up until I was 15) and feeling so glamourous.

Lip product you’ve loved the longest? Lipgloss! I used to wear a coffee scented (and tasting) cool brown lipgloss all the time that I loved. I don’t even remember what the brand was now.

Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? Blush. I love highlight too, but blush will always be my number one. My face looks alive with it.

Eye product you’ve loved the longest? Hmm, I’d say it’s probably Urban Decay’s 24/7 Eye Pencil in “Uzi”
Lip product you’ve loved the longest? Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in “Rapture,” if I had to pick just ONE 😉
Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? It’s a toss up between Lancôme’s Blush in “Miel Glace” and Mac Blush in “Well Dressed.” I love them both so much!

Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair

Eye product you’ve loved the longest? In general, I’d say MAC single eyeshadows. I’ve been using them for decades, but there’s no one particular shade that I’ve loved for a very long time. But if you ask me this question in a few years, I’ll probably say MAC Grain because this shade has become HG in my collection over the past few months. If I think about products I loved for many years but stopped loving, then I’d say Clinique Brow Shaper and Maybelline Great Lash Mascara.

Lip product you’ve loved the longest? Probably Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick. I don’t use it that often anymore, but it’s always in my bag to be used as a backup. I bought my first tube sometime in the 1990s.

Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? NARS Orgasm Blush. It was the only blush I used for many years and I went through several pans.

Eye product you’ve loved the longest? I’m still debating if brows are eyes 😆 , but I have to give a shout out to Benefit Gimme Brow (I do miss the old classic packaging, wish they never mover to the awful silver want theme).
But if not, definitely the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Lip product you’ve loved the longest? MAC Diva

Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? MAC Harmony

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Eye product you’ve loved the longest? it would have to be Urban Decay Primer Potion as it makes all other things “eye makeup related” possible; for colour stuff, probably MAC Tempting or Satin Taupe or maybe All That Glitters and, of course, Chanel Empreinte du Desert
Lip product you’ve loved the longest? easy – MAC Craving Amplified Cream lipstick
Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush or MAC Sweet Sentiment Mineralize Blush (LE – how I wish they’d bring it back)

Genevieve Avatar

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Eye product you’ve loved the longest? Probably navy blue and grey shades I have worn the longest. When I first started wearing makeup, there was such a limited range of shades (confined to Revlon and Rimmel). Even though I have moved away from these colours exclusively, I now pair them with more adventurous colours.
My oldest palette is Estee Lauder’s Blue Dahlia in teals and dark blues.

Lip product you’ve loved the longest? Always bronze, coffee, cinnamon and chocolate shades of lipstick.

Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? Blush – again always peachy corals.

Your skin tone/coloring: light, golden-yellow/olivey undertones, green (moss green as opposed to emerald green) eyes, dark brown hair with golden highlights in summer. When I was younger my mom called my coloring “tawny.” So 70s.

Eye product you’ve loved the longest? Deep eggplant eyeliners. Revlon used to make these super chunky liners back in the early 00s in the perfect shade and man, I went through those like candy!

Lip product you’ve loved the longest? NARS Chelsea Girls lip lacquer (in the pot back in the day, now a gloss in a tube)

Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? NARS orgasm, any formulation. I’ve used the powder, the multiple, and am currently using the liquid blush version.

Heather Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: light/medium, neutral
Eye product you’ve loved the longest? Mascara, especially tubing formulas
Lip product you’ve loved the longest? Plain old lip balm, current fave is O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair (unscented) in the squeezy tube
Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? Blush, it brings life to my complexion!

Rachel R. Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Eye product you’ve loved the longest? Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, and UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion all entered my life at about the same time.

Lip product you’ve loved the longest? Fuchsia lipsticks. The brighter, the better. A blindingly bright fuchsia lipstick my mother owned when I was a toddler was my gateway coveted item.

Cheek product you’ve loved the longest? Either Wet n Wild ColorIcon Blushes or e.l.f. Studio Blushes. I’m not sure which came first.
