Favorite brow bone highlighter? MAC Vanilla eyeshadow

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlight 01

Favorite inner corner highlighter? Vermeer from the Modern Renaissance palette, but I am starting to love Laura Mercier Caviar stick in Moonlight. And for more subtle look, I often use Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlight 01.

Genevieve Avatar

I have just looked up the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlight in 01 and I think it is amazing – what a glorious shade and the Caviar sticks as well.
Now, what was that question Christine asked yesterday about resisting temptation?
I just love those caviar sticks and hope I can still get a set…..

Seraphine Avatar

I love the brand Laura Mercier! That’s the only highlighter I ever use! I have just one Caviar Stick. Let me know if you’re able to snag a set, though. I might be interested, too. Though I need to resist spending more money, too.

Genevieve Avatar

There is no way on Earth that the LM Caviar sticks are cheaper here. Each one retails for $42……so darned expensive.
I have just spent a lot of lovely time checking out the caviar sticks in the shades I like and have found that I have dupes for most of them. I just need to pull out my palettes.
It’s funny how your colour preferences for eyeshadows can change. Colours that I once ignored are now being looked at .

kjh Avatar

Iirc, Ms Gen, the LM caviar stick sets usually come out for ATE (above the equator) winter holiday. I assume S Aus also features them for Xmas. They are super values, a great formula, but seem to usually represent neutrals/golds best. I waited until after Xmas for possible sale status and it never happened. S occ has one as a 100 pointer. They are great for a wash, for a base, or even a 2-3 color look. They do set, but you can work them a bit before that. But not enough time before setting for anything complex.

Genevieve Avatar

No way do these little gems come out at Sephora in a sale. Our Sephora sales are nothing like what you have in terms of prices and products available. Even the Christmas editions are very, very poor imitations of what you have and are still extremely expensive.

Favorite brow bone highlighter? the last shade in the shade & light palette from kat von d. It seems to be similar to Albatros from Nars

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Rose gold from Becca

Favorite inner corner highlighter? Naked pigment from Mac

Celesta Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair with neutral undertones and freckles.

Favorite brow bone highlighter? Whatever light shadow I use to set my eye primer… I don’t really highlight my browbone because I have hooded eyes and the browbone tends to get hidden in the extra skin there and there’s not a lot of room between my crease and my eyebrows.

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Oh man… this is a hard one. Any of my Becca highlighters (Moonstone, Champagne Pop, Pearl, Opal Flashes Jade), Laura Geller Baked Highlighter duo in French Vanilla and Portofino, Pixi by Petra Glowy Gossimer Duo in Delicate Dew, and Revlon just came out with their Color Charge Highlighter (the single one, not the 4-pan palette) and it swatches terribly, but on my face it’s really creamy and nice when really worked into the skin, and became a quick favorite. Oh, who am I kidding, I just love highlighters. If I buy it I love it.

Favorite inner corner highlighter? Usually whatever highlighter I’m wearing that day.

Rachel R. Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Favorite brow bone highlighter? I change my brow bone highlight to suit the look, but I favor shimmers and shimmery duochromes. I frequently use Looxi Beauty highlighters, all the shades in the ABH Glow Kit in Moonchild, Notoriously Morbid HL in Osteomancy, and MUFE Artist Shadow in ME122 Snow and I514 Pink Ivory.

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Laura Geller Diamond Dust Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator, Notoriously Morbid Osteomancy, all the shades in the ABH Glow Kit in Moonchild, theBalm Mary Lou-Manizer, and Looxi Beauty HLs in Pandora, Voodoo, and Wicked.

Favorite inner corner highlighter? I also change my inner corner highlight to suit the look, but I favor shimmers, shimmery duochromes, or glitters. Looxi Beauty HLs in Pandora, Voodoo, and Wicked get used a lot. Other frequently used ones are Notoriously Morbid Osteomancy, MUFE Artist Shadow in ME122 Snow and I528 Pearl, and all the shades in the ABH Glow Kit in Moonchild.

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair, neutral to cool undertones; green eyes; brunette

Favorite brow bone highlighter? I always go for whatever matte cream shade is in the eye palette I’m using – can’t say that I have a specific favourite (or that I even highlight my brow bone regularly).

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Becca parisian lights is becoming a fast favourite. I also love becca opal, as well as becca x chrissy teigen’s beach nectar… Clearly I have a thing for becca.

Favorite inner corner highlighter? Whatever highlighter I’m using that day, and that’s if I use an inner corner highlight, which I often don’t unless I find my eye look is darker/more dramatic than I intended and I need something to balance it out.

Mags Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair neutral

Favorite brow bone highlighter? any light matte vanilla/beige shade in the palette I’m using, otherwise no specific preference

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Becca Vanilla Quartz

Favorite inner corner highlighter? Any color from the KVD Alchemist palette

AJ Avatar

Skin tone/coloring: Cool-tone porcelain with red or mouse brown hair (depending on whether I’ve dyed it) and greenish eyes.

Favorite brow bone highlight: I just use whatever light color is in the palette I’m using, or the creamy color from the LunatiCK contour book.

Favorite cheek highlight: Glitzy from Makeup Geek, or NARS Albatross if I’m in a gold mood.

Favorite inner corner highlight: Urban Decay Heavy Metal glitter in “Midnight Cowboy.” Go big or go home 😉

Nancy T Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37, Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation N360, Fenty ProFilt’r Foundation 260 or 290, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite brow bone highlighter? MAC Orb, sometimes mixed with a little Dazzlelight.

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Too many to count! LOL! Lately, I’ve been loving UD Sin, even though it’s very light for me. Also, Maybelline Molton Rose Gold.

Favorite inner corner highlighter: MAC Dazzlelight or Nylon, UD Verve, ColourPop Going Rogue.

Mariella Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite brow bone highlighter? MAC Phloof or Too Faced Heaven
Favorite cheekbone highlighter? UD Aura or Dior Glowing Pink Glowing Gardens (the LE one from a few years ago) and I still have and love Guerlain Cruel Gardenia
Favorite inner corner highlighter? It’s a toss up between MAC Phloof or Dazzlelight or the very lightest shade from MAC’s Posh Pedigree Mineralize e/s quad or Chanel’s Tisse Gabrielle quad….the 2 colours are somewhat similar and both are perfect for this. I also really like Stila Wheat for this purpose.

Grace Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: pale coolish neutral
Favorite brow bone highlighter? Urban Decay Blonde is my go to, but I’ve been digging Ounce from the Heat palette lately.
Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Colour Pop Double Dip was my favorite but it’s discontinued 🙁 I’ve tried to fill the void with Hourglass Surreal Strobe Light but I prefer the cream formula.
Favorite inner corner highlighter? Urban Decay High, it’s a bit more difficult to work with but I love the effect when I get it right

Erica Avatar

Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 15 – 20, med brown hair and eyes

Favorite Brow Bone Highlight: I don’t really do a browbone highlight. I set my primer with Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow in Creme Brulee. Then add a crease color and a color on my eyelid. Maybe I’ll wear MAC Shroom on my browbone but it’s not an all the time thing!

Favorite Cheekbone Highlight: Becca Moonstone or Champagne Pop. Laura Geller French Vanilla. MAC Warm Rose, Whisper of Gilt or Lightscapade.

Favorite Inner Corner Highlight: I don’t really have one. MAC Phloof? Colourpop Sailor? Whatever shimmery pale color is in the palette!

Anne Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: NC15 w/some redness

Favorite brow bone highlighter? I usually use whatever pale color is in the palette I’m using so I don’t have a favorite.

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Becca Moonstone (cream formula) or RMS Living Luminizer or EL X VB Modern Mercury or CT Filmstar Bronze & Glow or etc etc. I don’t really have a favorite but lately I’ve been reaching for cream or liquid versions more often.

Favorite inner corner highlighter? Also don’t have a favorite for this one, but usually I’ll pop on either the cheek highlighter I’m wearing or something like MAC Satin Taupe.

Maggie Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair neutral/cool
Favorite brow bone highlighter? I typically forget to do this when I do my eyeshadow, so none?
Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Either Becca “Moonstone” or NYX “Ritualistic” (drugstore dupe, in my experience)
Favorite inner corner highlighter? Depends on what palette I’m rotating through. I like “Funny Girl” from the Tartelette in Bloom and “Nude” from the original Lorac Pro.

Skin tone: NC-25-ish

Favourite Brow bone highlighter: Ilia illuminating stick in the colour Cosmic Dancer, Gressa Illuminating serum and Kjaer Weis highlighter in Ravishing

Favourite cheekbone highlighter: All of the above

Favourite inner corner eye highlighter: All of the above

Kat Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair neutral-warm (MAC NC10/15, MUFE Y215), dark auburn hair, hazel eyes
Favorite brow bone highlighter? Makeup Geek Vanilla Bean because it’s not too shiny
Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Laura Mercier Matte Radiance 01
Favorite inner corner highlighter? Becca Prismatic Amethyst

Lia Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: light neutral/cool, hazel eyes, brown hair.

Favorite cheekbone highlighter?
theBalm Mary-Loumanizer!

Favorite inner corner highlighter?
Colourpop Smoke N Whistles (though I don’t always use it, because sometimes I don’t want as shiny an inner corner highlight for more subtle eye looks. Or for more subtle makeup days in general. But think it’s my favorite inner corner highlight overall!)

Favorite brow bone highlighter?
Don’t know if I have a distinct favorite for this purpose – if one of the eyeshadows I’m using for my eye look that day can work as a brow bone highlight, I’ll use that, but otherwise I’ll typically just use whatever I used for a cheekbone highlight.

Genevieve Avatar

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain with pink undertones

Favourite brow bone highlighter? I generally don’t use a brow bone highlighter as my skin tone is naturally very fair and when I have used one, the effect looks unnatural.

Favourite cheekbone highlighter? I have Mary Lou, but it does emphasize pores I don’t have. Most highlighters are way too shimmery for me and I prefer a more mattish finish to my face.
When I use the Natio Blush in sunkissed, that has a highlighter component to the peachy mosaic and that’s fine for me.

Favorite inner corner highlighter? Usually either UD Half Baked, Lorac’s Pro Metal Rose Gold or the Vanilla shade.

Brenda Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair with pink undertones

Favorite brow bone highlighter? Whatever ivory/cream matte shade in the palette I’m currently using. If the palette doesn’t have a shade I can use I grab Tempera from Modern Renaissance

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Right now it’s ABH Amrezy but I rotate between my highlighter collection

Favorite inner corner highlighter? KVD Metal Crush shadow in Thunderstruck; it’s perfection.

Deborah S. Avatar

Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones, MAC NW 5-10. I am currently about NW10.

Favorite brow bone highlight: MAC Blanc Type or MUG White Lies. It depends on what type of look I am going for and if there is a light enough shade in the palette I am using I will use that.

Favorite cheek highlighter: Overall I probably use Becca Pearl most often. I sometimes mix a couple of highlighters to get the right tone.

Inner corner highlight: Again, Becca Pearl is probably most used and again it depends on the look I am going for but I use MAC Nylon and The Balm Mary Luminizer quite a bit. I also like Becca Rose Quartz.

Blue Avatar

What formula do you buy Pearl in? I use both Poured and Liquid, and Liquid is my must have. I use it all over, to spot highlight, and also to dilute cheek stains. It’s one of my absolute MVP products. <3

Brenda C Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral, brown eyes, dark hair
Favorite brow bone highlighter? I have hooded eyelids so if I do use a highlighter it’s just on the outer edge of the brow bone. I’ve really been in to ND All Over Glow Face and Body Shimmer in Powder, it’s very subtle, perfect for my age group as it doesn’t draw attention to fine lines.
Favorite cheekbone highlighter? as above
Favorite inner corner highlighter? as above

Blue Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: light neutral

Favorite brow bone highlighter? I actually rarely highlight the brow bone anymore. I did do it today with Fenty Confetti and it was pretty.

Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Becca Pearl Liquid, but Fenty Confetti and MAC Show Gold both get more compliments. Pearl is really subtle to the point of looking more natural than stylish. Oh, I also love Ciate Dewy Stix for a wet looking shine!

Favorite inner corner highlighter? UD Cuff pencil for dramatic, UD Sin for natural. I’m not picky about inner corner highlights, though. There are a bunch I love. MAC Kitschmas Pigment, MAC White Pigment, Sugarpill Lumi, basically anything pale and iridescent.

Elle Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair, yellow undertones
Favorite brow bone highlighter: MAC Gesso (or anything matte and white)
Favorite cheekbone highlighter: Jouer Powder Highlighter in Citrine
Favorite inner corner highlighter: ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Flexitarian

rachel Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: NC25
Favorite brow bone highlighter? I usually use matte shades but I love Urban Decay Virgin and Kat Von D Metal Crush in Thunderstruck.
Favorite cheekbone highlighter? Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter, it is AMAZING! I really like the ELF Baked Highlighters as well.
Favorite inner corner highlighter? The Wet n Wild liquid highlighters give a great inner corner highlight without emphasizes any fine lines or adding texture and have that great light to medium shade is most flattering on me as I don’t like when inner corner highlights are too white based. Kat Von D Babs, Urban Decay Half Baked, Urban Decay Sin, MAC All That Glitters and Gorgeous Gold, or something super glittery like Wet n Wild’s Moon Tears.

DVa Avatar

Skin: Fair in winter (now) fair-medium summer
Highlighter for all: Currently I’m infatuated with Amrezy by ABH
But I float between:
Becca Champagne Pop stick (only for cupid’s bow and inner-eye)
Tarte Strobe
Becca Beach Nectar
Benefit Dandelion
NYX Enigmatic Jouer Rose Quartz
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

Laia Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with neutral undertones, dark brown hair and dark brown eyes
Favorite brow bone highlighter? MAC Dare to Bare (during winter and spring), MAC Shroom or the lightest color of the palette I am using will do (atm it would be Too Faced’s ‘Boudoir Eyes’ In the Buff).
Favorite cheekbone highlighter? TheBalm Mary Lou-manizer, Ofra Glow Goals, Becca Moonstone, ColourPop Flexitarian… I love highlighter!
Favorite inner corner highlighter? I will use what I am using on my brow bone that day.

Linda Avatar
