Earlier in March, there were six limited edition YSL Rouge Volupte Shines ($38.00 for 0.15 oz.) released, which had tubes decked out with stars. Then last week, there were four new, limited edition Rouge Volupte Shines and coordinating Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) released as well. Here’s the kitchen sink of swatches! 😁

Also, I forgot to take close-up photos of the Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks, so I had to do so after I used them 😥

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Oh man, this is going to make it hard to choose between the Tom Ford Wild Ginger that I just loved on the last post and Take My Red Away Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-In-Stick! Something about the finish on these is really drawing me in. They seem to make lips look smoother and plumper. Perhaps that’s just my imagination, though.

I like D I A L R E D as it appears to be a really easy shade to wear and I like the formula of YSL lippies. My problem is I am not sure how it will look with my darker lips underneath. If the undertone is good then there is a good chance it will work. The packaging is beautiful.

My reaction to these: meh. Thanks for swatching these. Now I’m really glad I didn’t add any of them to my basket from Sephora during the VIB Rouge sale.

Although I have dupes for both, I couldn’t resist picking up Rouge Caftan and Ready to Seduce. This was before Things Went Nuts (now going on… 7 weeks mostly stuck inside my home?!).

Anyway, I’ve been wearing Ready to Seduce at home a lot, and it perks me up – makes me feel alive instead of sluggish and trapped! That alone is worth it, for me.

Besides, that formula never has great longevity, but when it’s just for me, at home? Who cares. Beautiful, comfortable color, beautiful packaging. Makes me smile.

Meh… a bunch of similar reds.
The only ones I’d consider buying are the coral and the plum (red in the dark), I feel like they stand out to me BECAUSE they are not red, and presented between a dozen reds.
Don’t get me wrong, I love red lipsticks… that’s why I already own several of them, all carefully chosen, and it’s really hard to convince me to buy one more
