Sugarpill Smitten Chromalust Pigment ($12.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “shimmery hot magenta loaded with reflective sparks.” It’s a vibrant, fuchsia pink with lighter pink and white shimmer and sparkle. Too Faced Totally Fetch (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery. Urban Decay Noise (LE, $18.00) is more muted. MAC Tease with Ease (DC, $21.00) is darker, warmer. Estee Lauder Violet Underground #1 (LE, $21.00) is darker. Fyrinnae Superstar (P, $6.00) is similar. Sugarpill Magentric (P, $12.00) is more muted, purpler. Sugarpill Decora (P, $12.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches. (You can see them on The Dupe List here.)

It’s a new and limited edition shade from Sugarpill’s loose eyeshadow range. Applied dry, it had semi-sheer to semi-opaque color payoff, and when applied with a dampened brush (I just used water), it’s intensely pigmented and very, very smooth. The texture is so soft and silky, as it is very finely-milled, so it almost melts against the skin. Smitten wore well for nine hours and had some light fading after that, and it very lightly stained my lids but was gone by morning.

Lips, blush and as a liner? Not sure I can make it work much as a shadow… maybe in the crease. Will have to play some with my existing fuchsia some to see what I can do!

I recently had someone (MAC) apply it under my eye/lower lash as a liner and it was so pretty! Three ways? Absolutely not!!!! So, thanks for help on that…it’s a good question to ask. Three ways or no. This will be a no. So pretty however!
Thanks!

Do you like loose cosmetics? I wear a lot of bright colors (I have TWO hot pink eyeliners), but I never use loose eyeshadow, so this would be a no-go for me, although it’s very pretty!

I can only deal with the tightly pressed loose stuff, like L’Oreal Infallible or Armani ETK without getting annoyed at the mess.

Glad it helped, I always have to remind myself about this sort of thing when indies come out with really complex colors that aren’t pressed!

I don’t know if it’s just me, but my eyes hurt at the first image. -_-

Good look, by the way! Probably have to tone it down for blue or green eyes, though, but it’s still really pretty,

I noticed you test all of these products on yourself. What is your favorite makeup remover to use or any tips for gentle removal? Thanks! 🙂

Wow look at that pigmentation! This is great for people that like bold looks but this pink shade would look great in the summer. I love mixing pink and orange in the summer for eyeshadows :).

Ordered it already when it launched yesterday. Glad to see it’s slightly different fro Decora. 🙂
By the way, Christine, are you going to review their new brushes too?

It reminds me a lot of MAC Romp/Romping (MAC – Hello Kitty eyeshadow x4 Too Dolly).
To have that color (I lurves me some hot pink) in a pigment formula is FABULOUS.

I just ordered this. Is this with or without white base? Looks good here though 🙂 love the color. I ordered this because I ran out of a bright pink, so I decided to go for a loose shadow.
