I would love to see a Stila comeback. The label was outstanding in the 90’s and early 2000’s and then started to implode when they completely blew it on quality.. I really like the looks of these palettes: min d and soul are my 2 picks from the promo photos, but I’m having flashbacks to their dismal eyeshadow performance starting around 2004-2005, if I recall correctly, when the quality went from amazing to remarkably bad. I don’t know what happened there, but is was really a dramatic change and it turned me off the label for years.

I am interested in all palettes, except Body. Can’t wait to check these out at Sephora. Like literally, I may make the trek after work tonight. I’ve yet to try Stila’s shadows, so I hope they are nice. Man, eyeshadows are going to be my wallet’s downfall this season! I already want most of the MUFE shadows! Do we know if these palettes are permanent?

Paige Avatar

Are these replacing the old palettes like in the light and in the garden? I know they’re available online but no of the sephoras near me are carrying them in stock lately.

Helene Avatar

These look quite interesting. The compacts are really gorgeous. They make me think of old Hollywood stars.
I hope these eyeshadows will be well behaved, I am tempted by two of them, but I think they all look quite nice. Of course we’re knee deep in nude/neutral eye shadows so the ones I like best are the other ones 🙂
The glosses looks nice as well.
I don’t have anything from Stila, maybe time to get a little something soon.

Do you know if these are replacing the In The… (Garden, etc) palettes? Because the Mind and Soul ones are very similar to two of the In The… palettes.

Body is beautiful and right up my alley. I’ll have to see and/or swatch for myself though. Their pigmentation can be a bit soft for my taste.

Veronica Avatar

The design on those lipglosses looks a bit…inspired from YSL’s packaging. They’ve got a nice base range to start, though. Love the packaging on the palettes. I like Stila’s eyeshadow formula, so I’ll probably give these a look. The first and last one looks somewhat promising in terms of their shade mixture. (WHAT’S LADY GOT TO DO TO GET SOME COOL TONED PALETTES??)

Gena Avatar

Really! If it’s “nude”, no matter what the product, the shades are nearly always warm; there’s a real lack of imagination in the nude category. I’m always searching for cool basics.

kohimiruku Avatar

These all look gorgeous, but I swear the descriptions for makeup collections get more ridiculous by the season… I’m not sure my eyelashes could handle all those verbs without falling off!

Dee Avatar

Sweet lord all of them look gorgeous!! I’m not a huge fan of Stila but these look so pretty I’ll probably lunch indulge! Oh I do love their recent color balm lipsticks tho!

Kelly Avatar

Oooh that first one is a really pretty combination. And I like all the mattes in the second one, probably would be good to have as a Naked Basics type of palette. I’m going to check these out at Sephora tonight.

Logan Avatar

Hi Christine, any word if the shadows are permanent or LE? I didn’t see anything to indicate one way or the other. They look to die for!!

Becca Avatar

Ugh it’s moments like this I wish Stila was cruelty-free… I love the colors of their eyeliners and the Body palette just looks soooo nice. The purples, the turquoise, the forest green and that burgundy realllly intrigue me. :c

Trina Avatar

Love all of the palettes I hope they perform as good as they look. I have been pleased with her single shadows so hopefully these are the same quality. The glosses remind me of YSL. Hope it’s all permanent so I can take my time getting them. My wallet is shrinking so fast with all the new fall stuff especially MAC! A girl has to prioritize the limited edition stuff comes first ;). Do you know how big theses are or ounces of product? Thanks

Brandi Avatar

I love the palettes, but I feel like they look pretty similar to palettes I already have. Soul reminds me of the Too Faced palettes, Spirit & Body remind me of the Kat Von D palettes, Mind reminds me of the Lorac Pro palette.

Bronwyn Avatar

Those stila palettes look amazing! The first one really catches me eye. I much prefer the look of this packaging, to the cheap cardboard they normally use. Fingers crossed the palettes are true to pan!

zFashionizta Avatar

The MIND palette appears like something that I may be interested in (they appear to be all matte) the BODY palette has lovely colors.
I have been avoiding Stila eye products because in my opinion the pigment is not very good and/or have too much shimmer or frost.

Amy Avatar

These are currently listed on the Stila website under the “20th Anniversary Collection” tab at the top of the page. So, my guess is that they are LE. What a bummer! I don’t want to shell out $200 at one time. Although, the only palette that doesn’t really interest me is Body. But they do list out the shades to each palette. I thought that you might be interested in knowing ahead of time. From the looks of them and their price point, they’ll probably sell out quickly.

SOUL: (Everyday e/s shades) •Light, •Individual, •Being, •Kitten, •Affection, •Character, •Thought, •Heart, •Peace, •Vitality, •Substance, •Essence
BODY: (Bright & Neutral Shades) •Pink Diamond, •Topaz, •Garnet, •Rose Quartz, •Aquamarine, •Emerald, •Amethyst, •Tanzanite, •Midnight Quartz, •Moonstone, •Sapphire, •Black Diamond
SPIRIT: (Iconic shades) •Kitten, •Puppy, •Pigalle, •Oasis, •Jezebel, •Barefoot, •Wheat, •Golightly, •Espresso, •Chinois, •Slate, •Pewter
MIND: (All Matte shades): Shades: •Brilliance, •Instinct, •Reason, •Imagination, •Observation, •Thinker, •Genius, •Wit, •Creativity, •Understanding, •Perception, •Intellect

Are you going to be reviewing these? I’m really excited about a new all matte palette! The mattes from their last all matte palette, the in the… Whatever… I own it and a vast majority of them didn’t work we’ll for me.

RetroRuth Avatar

So sad about the palettes! I was very excited and ordered Body from Ulta as soon as it was available, but when I got it the quality was horrible. Seriously chalky and no pigment, especially from the purples and blues. I was so disappointed, because In the Light from Stila is one of my most used palettes ever. So, so sad!

Myriah Avatar

The price for these Stila palletes keeps jumping around.. I recall them being around 54 CAD on release, they went up to 64 and now on sephora they are listed as 60… The packaging is absolutely stuning and I will likely get the mind pallete as I neeed more mattes 🙂
