For spring, there’s the new NARS Air Matte Blush ($30.00 for 0.21 oz.), available in eight colors (four exclusive to NARS’ site), and NARS Air Matte Lip Color ($26.00 for 0.24 oz.) , available in 10 colors (two exclusive to NARS’ site). I bought the products available via Ulta, so I have four of the blushes and eight of the lip colors swatched for you in this post!

I’m a bit wary of the blushes, as I struggled to work with them for swatches and initial applications as they’re designed to turn to powder when they come into contact with skin, but they pilled a lot and were difficult to smooth out, so I am not sure I will purchase the remaining shades of the blushes (consider this a heads up!).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

The Orgasm blush is disappointing. It doesn’t pill on me, but it does not really stick to bare skin. I bought it to use with no foundation, and it kind of just disappears when you try to swipe it on. Stamping works slightly better. Too much silicone, I guess?

The same happens to me. No matter how many layers of it I put on, only the glitters show up un me… The pinkish base has zero grip on my skin. Or maybe it has simple an horrible low pigmentation? I don’t understand why it is so famous

I just received Darling & Freedom in the mail today, so I haven’t played much with them aside from trying them on, but I used a small duofiber stippling brush, and they both blended beautifully on my bare skin (well, over sunscreen). They did take a bit of building up, but I got a nice, even blend.

Really liking the looks of Thrust and Pin-up! Those two are so interesting looking, and this looks and sounds like something similar to the Rare Beauty Lip Souffle lipsticks, so just maybe, they won’t seriously fry my poor lips any more than they already are.
The blushes seem like they’re going to be a PITA, so I’ll likely skip those.

I mean – they’re all pretty. I really like Thrust because I’m getting into nudes/browns for lips more in recent months but it’s easy for me to ignore these new products. I used to be OBSESSED with Nars though – visited the Nars counter almost weekly just a few years back!!

It will be interesting to see the comfort level of the lip products. They swatch pretty well and don’t look shrivel-y. Not impressed with the blush swatches. Scandalous looks clumpy and hard to diffuse. The others aren’t leading the spectacular parade, either. What’s next for Orgasm? spiked seltzer water? Anything Orgasm makes me weary and a tad annoyed. FN was a barrier-breaker at the beginning, now he recycles his cult product, beating it into the ground. Admittedly I’m a Nars powder blush hoarder, but the blush shades have been done to death, by him and everyone else. I’m probably triple-duped on the first three, and I very seldom wear those shades. And yes, I have 5 depotted pans of Orgasm that i ought to flame throw… it has been in every multi-product offering for > a decade. Give it a bloody rest, already.
