The green and blue seem very dated to me — like, I swear I had Wet ‘n’ Wild versions of those particular colors in a swirl tube in the early 2000s. They’re, mmm, too metallic and mid-saturated to be on trend? They’re not saturated/deep/rich/jewel toned enough?

As a matter of pure formulation, the first two look awful. The pinks/corals/coppers look solid, but dupable. The only plus I see here is that they’re $30 for a tiny bottle (hooray, easier impulse buys) as opposed to $60 for a bigger size.

I have some of the Armani eye tints. But none of these.TheYSL SA actually sold me the Armani eye tints is the funny thing, lol. He didn’t even mention these. But,then again I didn’t ask. I was hoping you would review them. Yay! you are! 🙂

I bought my Armani eye tints in store at Nordstrom form the YSL SA. I bought them in 2 rounds. But, both times he helped me. The first time, the YSL ones were not on display, But, I remember seeing your promo pic ( I forget what you call it). The second time, they were on the counter. I pretty much told him I wanted to look at the Armani. But, he didn’t even try to suggest the YSL ones. He did say he hoped for more shades in the Armani formula, lol!

I just love this type of eye shadow, the eye make lasts all day long. I bought a couple from buppa and I cant live without them. The problem is that where I live (Cairo) you cant find anything, it’s soooooooooo frustrating. 🙁

Will be interested to see what you think. I got it. It’s gorgeous. It has a pinky iridescence and is a true neutral. I swatched it against the GA Shadow today which is similar but cooler. No problems with the formula, whereas the white one which I was also interested in, was patchy.

I think if I was interested in a formula like this, I’d definitely steer toward the Armani tints. Better performing and more modern/innovative colors. At this price point, I expect the best.

OMG, my jaw just hit the keyboard! The taupe and blue are stunning, exactly what I’ve been looking for! Not too dark, not too warm, would be great to use alone or as a base. I already own 4 of the Armani Eye Tints (good for oily lids like mine), but they didn’t have these colors. I really hope these perform well.

The performance seems very inconsistent, with a lot of variation in coverage/sheerness depending on the shade. I always find it annoying when a brand comes up with a new formula that’s wildly different for each shade… Only the Taupe and Pink look like they would be worth considering here, but I think they should be easily dupable (maybe not in a cream form).

Misty Green is beautiful. I really like the taupe, too. (Your fault, Christine, you’re turning me into a taupe lover with some of these beauties. I guess I need to go really high end for my taupes. 😉 )

Most of these, though, don’t look to hot swatched.

LOL! Well, in this case, L’Oreal owns both brands, and Giorgio Armani has often seemed to be first to market such-and-such new formula (think Eyes to Kill Intenses or even their Maestro foundation) that often trickles down through their family of brands (YSL and L’Oreal, most notably).

For $30 I would have expected better pigmentation and opacity. Maybe they’ll wear different on the lid? IMO, would rather have a Maybelline Color Tattoo – much more product and those don’t budge!
