Here’s a sneak peek of the new, limited edition Tarte Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette ($42.00 for 0.79 oz.), which is a holiday palette that includes five shades of blush ranging from brown to peach to plum. I hope to review this one in full soon 🙂 For now, here are some swatches!

P.S. — In an effort to get through as many holiday sets and palettes this season, my plan is to post sneak peeks as quickly as possible so that at least photos/swatches are available. I will review as many as I can in full, but you may find some will be given quick reviews (or overviews), which will be marked as such. I definitely will try to prioritize the sets and palettes I review in full based on readers’ interest/excitement.

Holy shimmer, Embraced! Didn’t seem to translate so shimmery in the pan. I do love Breathless for olive toned skin. This may find its way to me at the holidays! For me, Tarte can do no wrong when it comes to blush staying power.

hey, since uv ordered from Sephora to the uk I would like to ask u a question please? after adding over £75 worth of goods to the bag is it normal for there to be a tax charge of about £20?! delivery fee is fine but I didn’t understand the tax charge. hope u don’t mind answering xxx

I’m really excited for all the different holiday palettes this coming up – especially as my to-buy/wishlist is somehow (relatively) empty at the moment! This palette doesn’t really appeal to me though.

I ordered this the moment it hit online, and I already think I’m going to return it. Three of the shades are nearly identical or very similar to last year’s Off the Cuff palette. I am miffed but it’s my own fault for not waiting for your review first! I’m eagerly awaiting your dupes list of Breathless, though. It’s gorgeous.

Tiffany Avatar

This looks nice. I’m curious how the blushes in this set compare to the blushes in the Ulta Away Oui Go set. I also wonder how similar the shades in that set are to last year’s gorgeous getaways. Thank you for providing detailed pictures and honest reviews. I’ve been disappointed in Too Faced and Urban Decay so far, but maybe Tarte will have a hit.

Dang. I didn’t think I would want this, but I’m kind of loving it. Hope you’re able to do the full review of this palette by the Sephora 20% off sale!

Wow! I’ve never been too impressed by Tarte’s blushes but these look lovely. I only own one blush at the moment, so this may be a quick and easy way to expand my collection.

I lovveeee the color selection in this year’s palette! The foily outer packaging though..mehhh
Really excited to see your review-it’s too beautiful! I was going to get this anyway, but now I’m glad you might review this, so I can see how they look on the face and such.

There is a tarte blush set. Its called “tarte chic to cheek” blush set and I believe its only available at ulta. Will you be able to do a review on it?

Meghan Avatar

Thanks for all of your hard work Christine!

Thoughts on this palette – I wanted to buy, but after looking at the swatches I think I’ll pass! Not that it isn’t nice, and it may very well get a good rating. Just not sold on it. And I have last year’s Tarte holiday blush palette anyway 😀

Sam Avatar

omg! I am excited. I always wanted to try out tarte blushes and never got around to trying them and this little palette seems perfect way to try out many shades at a value price. I will wait to see your review before compulsively hitting sephora

Here’s the issue for me with a palette like this…first, I don’t really need to have FIVE blushes all in one compact. But more importantly, I look best in cool toned pinks and berries, so 2 or possibly 3 of these shades would be good for me, which means 2 or 3 would be useless. And I think there are lots of women like me – they either look good in peach and coral or they look better in pink and berry and look not too good in the other colour family.

Mariella Avatar

Exactly. Of course, if any of these blushes turns out to be one you consider a perfect dupe for that MAC Mineralize Blush I missed out on years ago (I think it was called Subtle Breeze), I’d buy this palette in a heartbeat!

it’s so odd: whenever i look @ tarte online, in the blushes, i like the photos + not the swatches. with the eyeshadows, it’s the opposite. In the pan, the e/s don’t seem as differentiated or as ‘good’ as they do in the swatches. exposed, natural beauty, + blushing bride may be all i need from them. Think i’ll fill in with MUG instead. this wouldn’t spend enough time in the rotation, esp as i’m not a pink or coral person. God knows, we have sufficient choices this time of year.

Bronwyn Avatar

Not that into these. Tbh I’ve swatched a lot of tarte blushes and they always seem so dry. Too bad as some of the colours in the permanent collection look nice. It’s just the texture that is so offputting.

lashesandlace Avatar

Mine just arrived today! It’s beautiful but I’m worried the lasting power won’t be as good, these ones seem very soft and powdery, not at all like the other amazonian clay blushes I have. I’m hoping you get a thorough review out, I’m worried mine may be a dud!

Rachel R. Avatar

Thanks for the swatches! I’m loving the sneak peeks.

I really love all of these. Embraced is divine. I think this will be a must-have. I just adore Tarte blushes.

Uh oh I think I found my blush palette! The HourGlass blush palette though pretty is not quite to my liking. I’ve been searching for a good blush palette for travel with the holidays coming up. I own about 4 Tarte blushes and like how they wear. Wish one of the colors were brown or wine toned though. Will wait for the rating for final decision.

Jackie Avatar

Love the shades in this palette…Will most definitely be picking this one up. Hopefully, they aren’t too similar to last year’s shades, but I just love Tarte’s Amazonian Clay blushes and have a hard time resisting new shades that come out.

Tanzin Tabassum Avatar

I can’t forgive myself for missing out on last years blush palette, I don’t wanna miss this. However, I’m worried whether these will show on my medium-dark skin

Kimberly Avatar

Me too, by the time I found out that years palette existed it was gone. I was so disappointed, so this year I hunted it down before seeing any real reviews.

Helene Avatar

These blushes are really nice. Sometimes my wallet is happy I can’t buy everything I like as it’s harder to get some brands. I can look and enjoy looking though. A newish way of window shopping.

Sylirael Avatar

I feel like I have enough Tarte blushes from other palettes not to need a whole set of them, but this one is nicely presented. A couple of them look a tiny bit patchy in the blended swatch though (or am I going nuts?). Strangely enough, the one I’m most attracted to is Embraced, which is all kinds of crazy, as shimmery/sparkly blushes are something I’m still not quite on board with yet! 😉

April Avatar

Hey! Just wondering of you’ve seen the chic to cheek holiday set by tarte as well. Which would you recommend from the two for a olive skin tone? Thanks a ton
