Ah Strangeling, why must you continue the tradition of difficult purples? Nice looking, but looks like it needs fussing (at least a damp brush) to really work.

Im waiting for my Pastelle and Charmy to get to me, Im KINDA interested in Clickbait and Countess tho, still, nothing out of the ordinary here, Grand Tiara looks super boring, with they did something like that but with holographic sparkle.

Wow..really pretty and affordable..looking forward to reviews! I’m not sure how good I would be with loos shadows. I have a small set of the Mac pigments. They don’t see much play, If I have extra time and remember i have them ,lol, i will try to incorporate. I’m guessing these are similar to pigments? maybe less intense?

Gillian Avatar

These look OK but I was hoping that they’d look a bit more intense. The colours are very pretty but I’m not sure I would actually get any of these. I’ll wait for the reviews, maybe they will change my mind! I can’t say that I use loose eyeshadow much these days (oh how things have changed from my MAC pigment phase).

Countess is so pretty! Perfect pop of colour for a smoky eye. Some of the others are I’ve but I tend to stick to neutral colours, not really a fan of greens/blues/pinks on my eyes

My full set should be arriving today! SHOULD. The massive amount of snow could of course hinder that. But I can’t wait to play with them! NYX finally put out a black primer base pot (usually I used the black Jumbo Pencil but prefer the consistency of the pots) and I think these will look incredible on that.

Mine fought through the snow and all the shades are here with me! I LOVE them. The super opaque ones even go on dry just fine (NEVER happens with loose powders!). They all have so much dimension to them. Very interesting product and definitely both extremely in-line with Sugarpill’s previous offerings and something different. These you can layer more, which is super cool. Shades like Mint Soda or Clickbait or Strangeling look really cool layered over other shadows and can easily be built up to full opacity. My favorites are Countess (OMG THIS SHADE! So much dimension! Just wearing this alone on my eyes gives an incredible look), Hug Life (super duper pigmented!), and shockingly Grand Tiara. Normally silver kind of bores me but this really is now the silver equivalent of The Best Gold EVER (SP’s Golidlux). Grand Tiara is pure molten silver dry or wet.

Strangeling swatched poorly but so far has worked great on my lids. But Sugarpill for me never swatches as well as it wears. I was right, these look EXTRA awesome on a black base. Pastelle is very sweet and I’m glad I got that one.

These are beautiful! I thought Hug Life would be my favorite, but seeing a swatch of Clickbait makes me think otherwise. I always feel like I have trouble with loose eyeshadow, though: How much should I take on to my brush? How much moisture-to-product should I use if I want to try them wet? Do I stick a wet brush into the shadow then tap off excess, or put the mixing medium on my hand and put the shadow in it? Since these are only $13 (usually that is on the edge of expensive for me, but I thought they’d be, like, $20!) I might get a couple of them and see what I can do. Can’t wait to read your full review!

Got mine today :D. I haven’t swatched them yet, just stuck my finger in them and gushed over how pretty they are with my sister. Penelope….oh Penelope. I never feel like photos do any of the Chromalusts justice, they can’t capture the sparkle and color shift.

Oh my! I’m Glad I passed though it was nagging me! Their promo shots were too perfect and made these all look so much more saturated with depth and dimension.. Tsk tsk… Thank you for this! I feel I made the right choice but you are welcome to send samples.. just in case.. Haha! 🙂 jk nk

The swatches on their website look so much nicer… Especially Hug Life – it’s soooo much more beautiful on the eyeswatch… That’s the eyeshadow I want! Not this dull kinda boring color… But what can I believe in? ;D

Celia Avatar

I’m wearing Hug Life right now and I promise it’s lovely and quite pigmented! Sugarpill is known for not swatching as well as it wears. It looks lovely on. One layer is still great coverage. I’m very picky about my teal sort of colors and this is a good one. Looks great paired with Mint Soda on the corner. These have a ton of dimension that’s easier to see on the eye.

So would you say it looks more like the swatch on the eye on their website in real life than the swatch on the arm here? ;D
