Sneak Peek: Sephora Colorful Eyeshadows (Spring 2016) Photos & Swatches
Sephora Luxurious Boot Camp Eyeshadow
Recently, there were several new shades released (and tons discontinued) of Sephora Colorful Eyeshadows ($12.00 for 0.07 oz.). When Sephora held their sale a few weeks ago, I picked up twelve shades — here’s an early look at swatches!
Wow I would not expect this but some of these swatch beautifully! I’m looking at you, “Diving in Australia!”
My local Sephora said that UD is redoing the packaging so you could see what each shade is. I’m not sure if that means some translucency to the cap or if the packaging will be color coated. All of the shades are on sale to “get rid” of the old packaging. From what I know the formula is not being discontinued.
Ooooh – I have been waiting to see if you’d be reviewing some of the newer Sephora eyeshadow colours. They got rid of SO many from the first bunch (they kept Snakeskin Dress and maybe 3 or 4 others but the rest are all new). On a totally separate subject, Christine, I see that UD’s lipsticks – all 3 formulations – are on sale for $13 CDN on Sephora’s website. Do you know if UD is launching a whole new line of lipsticks?
When I asked, UD did not really give me a straight answer, which makes ME think that they are significant changing or actually discontinuing but technically, they did not confirm or deny. Given that the sale has been going on this long and across all retailers, it is very strange if they did not discontinue. What makes it stranger is that they seemed to be a popular formula so why they’re getting discontinued within 2 years of launching is beyond me.
Seems odd, but this is a def discontinuation move….we’ve seen it before. Think the formula extensions have been out less than two years. Speaking of discontinued, I think the regular Nyx powder blush and much of Tarina Taranrino have been as well.
I think so too, Christine. And it makes me very sad. I cannot imagine not being able to replace Liar or After Dark or Streak! But yeah, they’ve extended that “sale” (clearance???) into June. Me thinks I have to grab Sheer Rapture and possibly another tube of Liar, as I wear that one a lot.
I’ve read in a few different places it’s just an issue of a packaging change.
I’m really liking the blues and Luxurious Boot Camp. The latter I think I will buy, it seems like a dupe for an eyeshadow I have, just with no glitter which is much easier to wear during the daytime.
Ooo! Some of these look really pretty!
Looking good, Sepho! Even the blues.
WOW!!! I almost fell out of my chair. These are Sephora shadows???? These are gorgeous looking, some look like MUFE Artist quality! I am droooooling over Diving in Australia and Luxurious Bootcamp, and maybe Messenger Bird and Falling Leaves. And the mattes look good too, a tad dry, but very fix-able with primer. Looking forward to your reviews!
Sephora’s shadows have been hidden gems for a few years now. And they are blissfully easy to depot, which is another factor in their favour. Sephora doesn’t make the free palettes that used to come with these (3 and 6 pan ones) but they fit perfectly into Z palettes without needing anything glued to them.
Some of those look really nice.
Wow. I’ve never purchased a sephora eyeshadow before, but I may have to rethink that. These swatches look very promising!
Ooooh, I see a few here that I love!
Don’t Get Me Wrong, Morning Freshness, and Diving In Australia are superb! Although I really wish Boot Camp looked a bit better, I absolutely love that shade.
And then there is Flirting Game. That looks like perfection if paired up with their liner of that same name. Like a perfect, easy, quick, daytime friendly look!
Oh, some of these look pretty! My favourite is Messenger Bird, it’s not often you get a decent medium blue shimmer!
Awww, Free Hug is a cute name AND a pretty color!
Just knock me out already.. Ack. beautiful!
Look at that Cashmere coat swatch! I just had a total body frisson looking at these swatches.
Cashmere coat is in the vintage filter palette, FYI.
Wow – these are gorgeous – especially the blues and khaki colours. Even the mattes look good.
These look pretty good, especially the two blues.
Holy cow they launched a ton of new ones! This excites me because I have a great 6 pan palette exclusively for these shadows… With three empty spots. Their old collection just didn’t have enough unique shades for me, despite being good quality.
I’m so glad you’re swatching/reviewing these! There are quite a few beauties in their collection but I’m usually just overwhelmed by choice when I’m in store. Swatches will be so helpful. I love Free Hug!
These swatches are beautiful! I would have guessed UD or Tarte eyeshadows!!
Alright! Sephora trying to step their eyeshadow game up! Looking good.
Free hug is beautiful
I need mattes and those look good!
These are stunning! Sephora really has some hidden gems in their collection. I really like the look of cashmere coat, I’m a suckered for taupey shades. I wish they would have diversified the shades a little more, flirting game, fall leaves and free hug all look pretty similar to me. They are beautiful, but all in the same “family”. I will probably pick some of these up!
