Does anyone else think the NARS palettes all look the same? Their shadows are usually very good, but I’d like to see something new and interesting from them. I feel like this palette looks identical to the ones I bought from them last year. It’s like they pick a few shades for palette and then mix and match them for “new” palettes. If you haven’t guessed, I’ll be passing on this one. I suppose it’s good for someone that doesn’t already have the NARS shades though.

I absolutely agree, however this one has piqued my interest. I will have swatch in person, which I loathe to do, but such is life. Hope you are well Wwendy.

Agreed, but I cannot resist the red/brown red lips. Virtually all mainstream cos are not nearly as cutting edge as they were. Most simply whisper rut, rut, rut. They find a niche and rarely deviate. UD calling itself Cutting Edge is very laughable, compared to 2 decades ago. Sometimes I think I could recognize a Tarte or tf palette with my eyes closed. Realize that’s preposterous, but you know what I mean. That’s a lot of why CP has had such great success. It’s mainstream, but the feel is indie. This palette reminded me of helmet newton with a different finish. But, tiring means less spending, and I have my eye on some awesome dachshund motif bedding that IS different, not to mention pricey. Most days I’m thrilled by m/u offerings that are not must haves, and cos that can fall off my radar.

I agree that it’s been one nude palette after another, and most of their blush releases up to the two singles for holiday have all been verrrry orangey as of late…. but this is the least appealing palette I’ve seen in ages, and I had high hopes because I really like their dual intensity shadow formula. Dual intensity matte seems odd, tho, and those two lighter shadows and the one blush all look the same! bummer

Very tempting! This is so pretty and the colors are perfect for me BUT I have sworn off NARS. I’m always disappointed by their products (at least for this price point).

Very tempting! The colors are totally “me” but I have sworn off NARS products. I’m always disappointed (at least for this price point).

Quality looks decent, but the color combo isn’t wowing me, feels pretty basic. I do like the wet swatch of that dark brown shadow though.

I love their Dual Intensity Shadows but I think I’ve probably got dupes for almost everything in this palette. The hefty price tag (it’ll probably be around $95 or maybe more in Canada) and that orange blush, which is so not for me, will probably keep me from buying this and I’ll try to “struggle along” with the dupes!

Funny when you first discover or rediscover a makeup creator, it is such an epiphany for a while. Enjoy it while you can and re explore Color is joy and someone will appeal to you.

Just received this today! Finally, a palette that 100 percent calls my name. While everyone else is raving about warm, orangey tones, I’m over here wishing for a palette with neutral to cool tones that aren’t so pigmented they basically force a smoky eye. I love this formula, because it’s actually flattering on dry and/or maturing lids, and the wet/dry formula adds versatility. Every single one of these shades is something I will use. I thought the middle blush shade would be too warm for me, but it’s a perfect netural, go-with-everything shade on my fair-neutral skin tone. The pink is perfect, and the white shade is a great standard highlight. I was definitely getting sick of all the recycled Nars products – how may times can you repackage the same exact thing? – but this palette is Nars getting back on track, as far as I’m concerned. The Sarah Moon packaging is stunning, the mirror is huge, and it’s nice and sturdy. Even if you, like me, had been ignoring Nars the past few years, this palette is the time to get back on board.

I know there’s a lot to review around the holidays but I’m really hoping you’ll review this one Christine since I am very curious about it 🙂
Swatches look nice but I’d still like to hear your opinion.
