NARS x Man Ray Collection
NARS x Man Ray Collection is the brand’s holiday collection that features a color collection along with a gifting collection (with sets and the like). There are more products available than what I have swatched below; I purchased a few additional sets from NARS that aren’t yet here and expect to purchase a few of the retailer exclusive sets when they become available.

darn, I wanted the 12 pan eyeshadow palette but it looks like the blue, purple and green are the worst performers!

Some of those are really pretty… Fetishized and Dolores especially… It’s a shame NARS tests on animals now to sell to China, because I won’t be buying any of them. 🙁

Love Blind Date and Momentum. Overall looks like an okay release. Any of the patchier shadows look like the type that would benefit from a solid e/s primer. I have to decide whether I am going to continue my Nars ban before picking anything up and of course, I will wait for your reviews if you review this.
Well those lipsticks are coming home with me… I do love a cool red! I try not to buy lipsticks similar to those I already have in my collection, and luckily my Colourpop London Fog and MAC red are both running out- making me a free woman to buy these! The eye shadows are still just a bot warm for me though… a shame as I recently purchased the Nars x Christopher cane chrome/ hardwired palette and am loving it! I would not object to more nars shadows!
I was so upset that Love Game isn’t available in the US so I’m kind of happy to see that it doesn’t look that great.
Why isn’t Love Game available in the US?
I don’t know. I just saw where NARS replied to a comment on one of their IG posts and said it wouldn’t be.
Noir et Blanche. If I skip a red Audacious set, like I did last year, bec I can’t wear polish, and missed Eva and Cody, I regret it. And intensely. Fetishized, maybe. Reads a little too Coral in photo. Maybe in person. But Nars red lips have been my thing for > 20 years, so it’s a go, def. shadows kinda meh, despite liking the ar.
Thanks Christina!!! You just made my decision so much easier after seeing these swatches. I will pass on most on my list except for those blushes!!! Eye palette not that appealing seeing swatches, the pink and gold gloss look nice but i have dupes, finally the mini darker lipsticks look amazing but the colors are just so similar (to many reds!!)
Fetishized looks perfect for my NC47 skin. What are you doing to my wallet Christine? ?
Ho hum sadly ambivalent. The swatches on the eyeshadow palette look very warm and not particularly unique. Ditto for the two duos. The lipsticks are nice, but I prefer my reds to be moire matte.
Fetishized is so pretty! But since NARS has decided to test on animals I will wait for dupes to purchase from an ethical brand instead.
I wish Tryst was a single!
Christine, do you have any idea when the palette (Love Game) will actually be available on NARS’ site? I read somewhere November, but I don’t know how accurate that information is… At this point, I just plan to wait for the duos to hit Sephora, given how long NARS takes to process an order, unless the palette becomes available before.
I wasn’t interested in any of the lip products, but Kiki & the lip coffret look quite interesting.
I don’t! They didn’t indicate it wasn’t part of the full release (they only gave one date).
I’ve been searching high and low for a release date on that palette and I couldn’t find anything either. I’m thinking the 15th maybe it’s a Nordstrom exclusive?
Nars posted on IG that Love Game will not be available in the US.
It did pop up on NARS’ site last week, but didn’t have “Add To Bag” under it, along with all the other pieces… A few other things are still missing, but I’m hoping they’ll be added later; there are so many pieces, it may be easier to trickle them out…? Even “retailer exclusives” tend to be available on NARS’ site. I just really want to grab everything from one place.
I bought a blush from Nars on sunday, and mt order has already shipped. I was actually shocked at how fast it was.
Beautiful colors but overall a pass for me. The Lipstick Coffret is very interesting but I don’t like the creamy formula of the audacious line.
Anxious to see the sneak peek and review of the gift sets.
Those blushes look so nice! I’m not sure if I could pull off either, but I have a feeling one or both may end up mine, I have nothing similar. I’m surprised by how subtle the Muse lipgloss looks on the lips too.
The blush Fetishized caught my eye. The lip products look good, too…if only I wore the glosses I have.
Where to begin! Off Limits gloss, Double Take Highlighter and BOTH eyeshadow duos have my rapt attention! I also really like the looks of Fetishised blush, too.
And then there’s that palette. I’m hoping beyond hope that some of those shades just swatch poorly, but apply 1,000 x’s better than seen above. But, deep down, I know better.

I just got the audacious lipstick set from Nars and also a new shade of the audacious lipstick they released (Louise). I love this formula! Best I’ve ever tried.
The last thing I need is more eyeshadow, but I am intrigued by that palette. Looking at those swatches though — I’m not feeling it.
The rest is not for me except the lipsticks. Loving the colors Lee and Delores. Hope I can test them in store.
It’s lovely that the 12 pan palette has included some cool toned shades, but they don’t seem to be particularly fabulous.
The lipsticks, on the other hand, are absolutely glorious shades.
It’s a shame that Nars continues to use dubious names for their shadows.

I really only like the highlight!!! its stunning, but I dont think i’ll pick it up. hmmm
i like that highlighter but i own Banc de Sable and it might be very close to on of those colors- maybe more shimmery. i think i will get Fetishized and Nars has a GWP right now.
Lee, Charlotte and Josephine – talk about gorgeous! (did Josephine come with that “gash” in the bullet?). I was hoping to be more excited by the duos but there is plenty that is very appealing in the larger eye palette but, as Shamim de Varax has pointed out, a few of the colours don’t seem to perform all that well so maybe I’ll check my stash once you list the dupes for the shades I like best.

Does anyone know when this collection will be coming to Nordstrom? And Sephora? And are there pictures or descriptions of the retailers exclusive sets?
I’m not new to this website but I am new to posting. I’ve been inpatient for 4 months receiving treatment and it’s so hard to buy makeup without seeing swatches. This website has saved me!!!
