That blush looks more like a highlighter (and I’m pretty pale but I don’t think it would work as a blush even on my fair skin) – it is pretty and that’s the one thing from this collection that I might look at but as a blush? I can’t see it working for most people.

Nicole Avatar

Excited for these reviews as I am on a fence with some of these products. Lipstick, not looking like it would suit me now that I see it swatched. The multiple, I do like. But, from experience with those, I find them a bit thick in texture and tend to look dryish/cakey on me. idk..maybe I am not blending right or doing something wrong. the multiple mattes, I do well with though. The blush is pretty. But,looks more like a very highly dupable highlighter for me. May be a pass for me finally!

I definitely *need* the Multiple & blush, and quite possibly the glosses! As much as I like the look of the duo, it looks too warm for my liking, and the single looks too much like Nepal-although, if they’re still available later on, I may still pick them up…

I’m addicted to Multiples, and I have 9, so due to my OCD, I’ve been needing to find a 10th to round out my stash, LOL! I have very dry skin, and they work beautifully on me, however I haven’t tried them on my eyes or lips.

The eyeshadow duo kind of reminds me of a “tanner” version of All About Eve or Key Largo…

The glosses look really pretty, and right up my alley, but I can never justify HE lip products, LOL!

Not my cup of tea, but still very interested to see how this swatches and performs, for people who can wear these shades. This whole collection is probably a skip for me. I have a hard time wearing orangey- browns on my face, a lot of the stuff will just wash me out, and the rest is pretty but dupe-able. The yellow- tan lipstick and white eye paint look kind of scary, will be interesting to see these look applied.

This type of collection looks spectacularly awful on me…and not just my opinion…it’s indisputable. Pretty in theory, but not in practice on me (I could pull off the powder eye shadows but that’s it!?.

Jules Avatar

I actually asked a NARS makeup artist about this, and they said it was released to compliment the new foundations. 🙂

The colours don’t actually look too bad on me, but then again I am quite fair (NW15, Terre Neuve/Mont Blanc).

Raeanne Avatar

Hmm, if the blush formula is really good I might just get it for a face and browbone highlight! I almost wish the eyeshadow duo was a cheek duo. 😉

Jillian Avatar

I’m LOVING that eye paint and the silver lipgloss, but I’m not too optimistic! I could see that eye paint being a great eye brightener, and I hope it could work well as a base too.

Rachel R. Avatar

So, so pretty. I’m in love with the silver gloss. The only thing I don’t care for is the lipstick. The color is interesting and unusual, but it looks like one of those yellow-orange ochres that I can’t pull off. The blush is beautiful, but it looks more like a highlighter. You can see how pale I am in my picture, and I don’t even think I could pull that off as a blush unless I wanted to go really minimal. (Which is not really my style).

Floz Avatar

Ooh… Reckless and St-Paul-de-Vence look intriguing, but I MUST have Liguria! Thanks for the swatches, I’m excited to see how you rate them 🙂 Soooo grateful for your blog as always, I’m a pretty busy lady but you keep me up to date with the world of makeup! xx

When I saw the swatch of the blush, I thought WTH??!! It looks like a highlighter rather than a blush and too light even for light skin. I might get the blush and use as a highlighter unless it’s poor pigmentation. If you said it’s poor pigmentation from the review, I can totally skip it!

Amanda Avatar

I’m a big NARS fangirl and this stuff looks lovely on Tilda but I’d look like a clown in all this orange. (And I’m super-fair, too!) 🙁

I suppose it’s just as well–I can try their new liquid foundation formula instead.

WildDove Avatar

The collection is beautiful in itself as high art ! However I think the colors are too light or too orange for my own coloring (MAC NC20). They might look good on someone with JLo’s coloring, for example.

Fran Avatar

The neutrals theme goes on an on, lol, although at least they’re doing something a bit different, if strange, with it… I wonder if the Eye Paint would work as a base to brighten up too-dark shadows.

Sarah Avatar

I am really loving the eyeshadow duo! Can’t wait till it hits stores in Canada!! Maybe… this would be the perfect color combo for me! I love neutrals but haven’t found the right ones yet.

Kirsten Avatar

I think the glosses would look much better worn over the lipstick. It would improve all of them! I’m still really liking the eye products. I’ve been trying to incorporate more corals into my stash and these are a nice “version.” They seems like they’re all based around the Marsala color too.

MACupGrl Avatar

Totally getting the e/s duo and multiple. WTH did NARS skimp on the blush? Totally disappointed with it. They could have came up with a more pigmented shade.

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

These colors are so light. I’m afraid they would look chalky on me. I have light to medium cool coloring. I don’t think I will be buyin this collection unless its v ery different in the store.

MMT Beauty Avatar

I love how they were only thinking about light skin when designing this line……so sick of makeup companies totally disregarding women of color!

Jane Avatar

These all seem a bit off from what I would like to buy/wear, but you know what? I have to say that very little in cosmetics is surprising to me anymore and there is something totally unexpected to me in this collection.

WARPAINTandUnicorns Avatar

This is soo….. pale! But not calling me at all as it reads more washed out to me. >_< Also these shades of rust tone can make a pale girl look sickly as well. lol

I know bring up this collection will be controversial still but in comparison MAC's Rodarte collection in terms of product shades I felt was very flattering for pale skin tones like mine. I whole heartedly agree that pulling the collection was the right decisions but I'd love to see another collection with those colour themes.

Veronica Avatar

Much as I love NARS, this would be a hideously unflattering collection on my skintone. The glosses would likely work, but I have dupes for them, so that only really leaves the eye paint (boring) and the blush (more of a highligher). This looks like a pass for me.

Naz Avatar

This collection is particularly drab. I mean I supposed I could layer these products but my first reaction was really? Winter whites for Spring? At least put out a new Audacious shade for some of us. These colors won’t do anything for my caramel complexion. Eeek.

JulesOW Avatar

That blush is soooo pretty. It doesn’t make me think or feel Reckless though, lol. I like sheer, hint of color blushes. Ugh, I can only go so far reading your blog before I have to stop due to makeup excitement overload. lol

MelanieB. Avatar

Im extremely excited by this. These are nudes for super fair ladies such as myself. I see myself buying several pieces from this collection. Lovely!
