Yikes, what happened to NARS?? Some of these shades look drier than the Sahara. And the black pencil looks like it’s skipping color. Mandchourie looks like a unique shade, a gray with cool lavender undertones and gold shimmer, hope you can find some dupes for me
You can also get Mandchourie on its own, though it is part of a duo!
I just looked it up, $35 for the duo (yikes), and I don’t like the other color (sigh). Hope there are cheaper dupes. Or maybe I can just take a gray shadow and slap some gold shimmer on top!
Try eBay. I found mine last year for around $20, and it’s one of those products that pops up frequently! I’m not particularly keen on this shade, but I wanted the other one, LOL!

I was also going to say I really like Mandchourie but yes to having dupes. Grey with gold is really interesting to me. *_*
I love the Day and night palette and the colors look much more pigmented than the Hardwired one! Mandchourie is such a pretty unique color!

Looks boring! I want a NARS palette, but so far the only way one remotely speaking to me is the Dual Intensity one…
They seem to repeat their palettes, despite having such an extensive range of products in their permanent line.
I’m sort of confuddled by this whole “Fall Gifting” concept. Is Fall now a gift-giving occasion? Unless I’ve been specific about “I want THIS”, I don’t much like people “gifting” me makeup, even at Christmas or my birthday, Mothers’ Day, etc. But is Nars trying to create some sort of “Thanksgiving Gift-giving” event? Part of why so many people love Thanksgiving (at least here in Canada) is that it’s very much like Xmas only without all the insane gift-giving stress and frustration!
NARS has a gifting collection for every season, I believe!
Wow the quality seems to be all over the place on this one! Some look okay, but others… Hardwired shade III looks like a disaster.
Also Mandchourie (while it would be an ashy mess on me) looks like such a pretty shade – I’d love a nail polish in a similar colour!
The Hardwired Eyeshadow formula was very powdery when it was released last year, and this year doesn’t seem promising!
Too faced pallete and liner look way way better. They may look juvenilish at least some quality control is there. That’s why I should remember not to judge a book by its cover.
We’ll see how they apply! The Hardwired kit I’m not too optimistic about, but possibly the regular palette.
Only thing I like is the Via de Martelli eyeliner… Honestly, if I’m going to be paying as much as NARS products are I expect them to be perfection. This is another disappointment, just like the NARSissist pallet. Maybe they need to stick to lipsticks because those are amazing.
At least that’s permanent! 🙂

Crap..I freaking LOVE that eyeliner, but I’m not excited about the palette..not surprisingly can easily dupe it. Don’t care for the swatches on a few shadows either. Did I just read correctly the eyeliner is permanent? Will check it out.
Yep! I believe both of the eyeliners are permanent.
I wish Zagreb (?) came separately, so pretty. I’m not impressed enough for either palette, but there are a few stand alone shades that are really nice.
I feel like NARS has something similar in their range already, but I haven’t looked for dupes yet.
Im so in love with that denim color but the rest of it just doesn’t interest me.

I think my excitement for this new Narscissist Palette kind of just had some of the wind sucked out of it. The quality appears to be non-consistent, but I know that it could potentially work better in actual use on the eyes. But for now? Le sigh….

i really like the Day & Night Series Palette. I could care less about the black shadows, as i never wear that color shadow. But, the others are pretty.

Most of these swatches don’t look good at all. And I just know that isn’t my beloved Via de Martelli with that struggle swatch. NARS has been slipping lately!

Oh dear – I can tell by the swatches that some (many?) are pretty poorly pigmented and very dry. The only shade I liked was Hardwired….. the rest were very dupable and average at that.
We shall see…

NARS’ palettes always seem a bit pricey!
Wow. That Hardwired palette. The only thing it seemingly has going for it (as far as performance and uniqueness) is Shade V. The Day & Night palette looks nice. Zagreb, I’m intrigued by that color and looking forward to your review of it.

Why did Nars get so expensive all of a sudden? I have returned several Nars eyeshadows because of poor quality. $65 for mediocre eyeshadow is too much. It’s pretty in the pan but poor performance on the eyes.
This is pretty much par for the course when it comes to their products. We all know that price isn’t an indicator of quality 😉

Via de Martelli is a gorgeous red brown, not an easy color to find, or to wear. Would love to see you do a look with it. Red browns can bring out the auburn ring around my green eyes and make them look greener, or it can make you look sick! That’s why you have to be careful. I also worry about the bulkiness of a wide eye pencil. But again, I’d love to try out the color first hand and see how it looks and feels.
I am a f-ing sucker for NARS palettes and I wish I could say I don’t want those. I do. I REALLY do. I love NARS, I am so upset I can’t buy my radiant cream compact in Siberia in my country anymore (it’s being discontinued in Brazil) and even though I dislike that Subra and Ursa Major look black on my eyes, I still don’t regret buying the Dual Intensity palette (and I actually want the other shades).
Help, I’m addicted :/
If you like the other six shades in the Dual Intensity palette, I don’t think it’s a bad move! If you enjoy it and can afford it, then don’t feel bad about it 🙂 Have you tried using Subra or Ursa Major in other ways? Maybe as an eyeliner or in place of a black eyeshadow?
