Oooh, some pretty colors here. Aigle Noir and Pasiphae look interesting….Tribulation Blush looks like it could double as a highlighter, and VIP Red is perfectly described, a brick red

Aigle Noir looks like something I would definitely be interested in. I like the looks of the dual intensity eyeshadows, but I’m not crazy about the formula. Phoebe is the only shadow I have in this formula where the colour does not pull dull and flat on me. It seems like the shimmer stands out (too much for my tastes) just fine, but the colour fades behind it.. I usually apply over wet base. Will look forward to your reviews of all.

Jane Avatar

Nor mine, either. The Oaxaca shadow stick looks interesting, but mostly because it vaguely reminds me of Burberry Pale Barley.

Some of the shadow shades look lovely but I see in reading ingredients list on Sephora that the shadows “may contain” the allergen chromium pigment(s). Too bad Nars is too lazy to say for sure if these pigments are indeed in their products. Their “customer service” people don’t ever answer if these are in there. Pass for me.

What is it with the shadow sticks that NARS just can’t get it right?! Ugh, these swatches look so disappointing…
Pasiphae looks beautiful, though.

Lotus Avatar

Indeed, you remember! 🙂 I have a few glass pots still stored.. I checked one last night and it’s just fine. 🙂 I wonder why they don’t say the color was a re-promote?

I am totally enthralled by the swatches of Pasiphae! It is drop-dead gorgeous! And some of the Shadow Sticks look promising, too. Hopefully, Aigle Noir and Goddess do really well on the lid, especially with being long-lasting, and fingers crossed, crease-proof. I really dig the burnt red lipstick, but I probably have too many red lipsticks as it is, so unless this one reviews spectacularly, I will regretfully skip it.

First off, kudos to Nars for some unique shades of eyeshadow colours… But I was having trouble pronouncing the names of these shades! The pasiphae dual intensity shadow is gorge!

Jill Avatar

I admit that I have never purchased a NARS product, but have received some freebies of blush and lip product, and they have not tempted me to purchase. That being said, I would like to try the dual intensity shadow. I don’t seem to remember stellar reviews of them when they were first introduced. I do love a good shadow stick– and I have many . The version from Chanel is too frosty and streaky, in my opinion. I would try NARS version too, but their colors do not seem unique, all are shades I already own from Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier.

Pasiphae is not what I expected. It’s more golden-brown with green shift than burgundy with peacock shift. Very pretty, though.

Genevieve Avatar

These look much better quality than the palettes. Love the red lipstick and the dual intensity eye shadows. Am I right in thinking that some of the eye crayons are not velvety? The blue one looked decidedly patchy, although I love the olive green.

Bengisu Avatar

I think I’ll at least check the blush and Pasiphae eyeshadow. I love that green-ish golds, nearly all other types of golds seem to be too warm to my liking.

jaz Avatar

I’m loving the look of some of the shadow sticks and the dual intensity shadows. Hmm here’s to hoping they performed well

Caroline Avatar

I’m impressed. Very interesting collection. Aigle Noir looks like a attempt at japanese liners with the slight translucency and interesting shimmers (like the famous THREE Flash Performances). Pasiphae has a nice duochrome effect and I don’t think I ever saw anything like Sukhothai. Are those LE?

Lorrin M Avatar

Pasiphae is going to be mine! I’m a sucker for the dual intensity eyeshadows and that duochrome is lovely. Also, wow Filbuste is so rich- it looks like tar.
