Sneak Peek: Marc Jacobs Air Blushes Photos & Swatches

Marc Jacobs Air Blushes
Marc Jacobs Air Blushes

Marc Jacobs Air Blush ($42.00 for 0.28 oz.) will officially make its debut on July 12th, but my order shipped the same day I ordered, so it seems like they might as well just be live now. There are five shades, and each shade consists of a lighter and more contrasting shade, though none of the strips are large enough to really be used on their own; you can go lighter or darker by using the left or right side more heavily. It seems to be designed to have buildable coverage with 24-hour wear (yep! 24-hour wear). We’ll see how that goes… 😉

Nice, these are very pretty! When I first saw the promo pic, I thought they should’ve made the darkest and lightest shades larger, so you can easily fit a brush in there. And 24 hrs? Not sure why a blush even needs last that long, but I can see the rating being downgraded just for that. With that said, I like the looks of Beauty Line & Last Night and Flesh & Fantasy but will await your review and check your dupes list to see if these are really dupe-able or not

Attracted more to the configuration and concept than the colors. About how long is the surface? The palette fits in your palm? Guess I see how you cannot use the shades individually. Names have what is the now common suggestive nature, but a tad less overt. Lines? Really. Better go fix your nose. MJ will say it’s the queues at the clubs, if there are any objections. Kind of sick of trendy.

Mine shipped same day as well but won’t be delivered until Wednesday 🙁 I ordered Lush but looking at your swatches I really love the way Night Fever looks. I had considered Kink and I like the swatch but am now intrigued by Beauty Lines. I’m going to wait until I have a chance to try mine and see what you think before I pull the trigger on another one.

My mind went to the Celine Dion song “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” — which then weirdly reminds me of being driven around by my mother in her minivan, listening to Celine. Ah, the 90s…

I like these types of products that let you skew something a shade lighter or darker, cooler or warmer, more shimmery or more matte, etc. depending on where you pick up the product with your brush. I’ve read that the two complimentary shades are meant to be used for a technique called “draping” wherein the colors are used to sculpt the face and that the colors are intended to merge into each other. In short, these aren’t classic dual pan blushers and that’s fine with me 🙂 I’m not the biggest Marc Jacobs fan, but I did order Kink & Kisses and am looking forward to getting it. As for 24 hour wear, I certainly don’t need that, but if it means my blush will last the day without fading, that would be great.

Lines and Last Night looks lovely, but… it’s also maybe the hardest to get even? Pity, because the colors of that one appeal to me the most.

I’d imagine Flesh and Fantasy would appear a bit more overtly pigmented on my very pale skin, though still for sure in the nude family of blushes. I don’t actually own THAT many nude types — mustn’t get carried away purchasing these, though…

I really want to get the Flesh one but I already have 9394 blushes and I think $42 is a little steep. If I didn’t already have so many I’m trying to use up I would buy one. Heck, I might anyways but then I’ll feel guilty. It’s times like this I wish my collection was smaller and I could trade in my mediocre products or ones I’m tired of for something new!!!

I think I may be the only person that wishes products were actually smaller instead of larger because I would rather buy half the product (at half the price) and use it up so I can try more as opposed to stacking up a million products that I try to rotate but ultimately most look untouched. I have a bunch of high end lipsticks I know will expire before I ever get even 1/4 of the way done with them. I feel kind of wasteful in that regard. UGH – make up problems!

I’m looking forward to your reviews Christine! I like the concept and I think that the colors kink and kisses / flesh and fantasy could be pretty colors I could use on a daily basis (the other are also tempting but… I’m trying to avoid products that I know I won’t make enough use of!)

I’m a big fan of Marc Jacobs beauty so I jumped at getting one of these right away. I chose Flesh&Fantasy because I’ve found myself looking for neutral/nude blushes more and more lately. Fingers crossed this one is a winner 🙂 Excited to see a fill review and swatches later on
