LORAC Black Skinny Eyeshadow Palette
Next up in our Sunday sneak peeks, we have LORAC Black Skinny Eyeshadow Palette ($15.00 for 0.45 oz.), which has seven eyeshadows that lean neutral-to-cool and have a neutral, smoky bent. Most of them are on the matte side!

If I didn’t already have the original PRO Palette, I’d be all over this! Still, it’s nice to see a cooler-toned neutral palette without the obligatory bronze/gold shade…
I like! Especially the price lol
I wonder if this palette is going to be as “exclusive” as the other skinny palettes. Which make it kinda heard to get.
If they are, that’s a good thing! Because the nude/navy palettes are on Lorac’s site as of right now: http://www.loraccosmetics.com/make-up_the-skinny-eye-shadow-palette-in-nude.html
$15 is great price but this doesn’t look like their regular formula –this looks drier and thinner
I had the Skinny Navy (I think) and it was nowhere near the quality of the Pro palettes. At $15 I’m thinking this may be the same. Too bad, this one has every pan that I would use…if they made a pro palette with these shades I would spend double to have it!
Looks like a nice alternative to the UD Naked Basics palettes! I feel like you could make more complete looks than with the UD ones since it has a slightly shimmery shade to highlight or use on the lid. The price is right too, as long as the quality is there.
The original Naked Basics had a shimmery white highlight shade.
Pass. I have not been a fan of the Skinny palettes. I have three, and the quality is all over the place.
I usually always love Lorac, but this looks really patchy and pooly pigmented. So sad. Another smokey vibed palette that disappoints. It’s as if they are all going downhill after UD Naked Smoky, and by the looks of this, much worse.
I will pass on this one – another neutrals palette. Loved the Pro Metals one better.
Lorac has been killing the palette game lately lol. Thankfully, I already have (and love) my original Pro Palette so I can safely dodge all these new releases. This one looks like a solid everyday palette though. I’d probably add it to my collection if I didn’t already have my Pro Palette
Made in China like Lorac’s other skinny palettes?
Extremely dupeable.
I have to admit that the skinny palette’s don’t swatch great (I have the plum and the navy) but they do work well on the eyes, I think they blend nicely and the shade selections really work well together. These do seem a bit patchy but my experience has been better in practice than in swatching, which I prefer 100x more than when something swatches so nicely but doesn’t translate well on the eyes.
I would consider this if not for all of the mixed reviews on quality. I’ll wait to hear more. 🙂
Ooh, I like this! *rubs hands gleefully*
The black looks like it has a green shift to it!
I was hoping I could get a side by side of the taupe from the skinny palette and the taupe from the first pro palette. The taupe from the original palette was my holy grail crease color but I don’t want to spend $42 to buy a palette that I only like one color.
I meant shadow #3 BTW 🙂
Nope #4 LOL! SORRY!
