Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

The beauty of this site and all of Christine’s work is that there will probably be numerous affordable dupes (and, of course, we can hope that it gets a poor rating – a C and short wear time, bleeding, etc. will make it all easier to bear, don’t you think? Maybe we should ask Christine to lie to us!)

For $65, a lipstick would also have to clean my house and feed the cats. Ain’t no way. And they look no better than some drugstore products.

Susan – I was thinking along similar lines – it’d have to mow my lawn, fill my car with gas and maybe even wash my windows! I work with some very disadvantaged teens and I know how their families struggle. I can be as frivolous as the next person but there comes a point where I can’t help thinking “that one lipstick could be groceries for S’s family”

Gorgeous colors. Ouch on the pricetag. Wondering what the texture is like compared to other lines. And longevity. Will look forward to your review!

Gonna be honest: if Chinoiserie is the perfect long-lasting, satin “just adds color to my colorless lips” lipstick, I might bite the bullet.

Agree with the ouch factor. Like Loubou, CdP in this case does jump the bar into conspicuous, unwarranted consumption. The colors and finish seem swell, but Mariella is right….these would be guilt l/s for me.

Ok, I do spend for Tom Ford lipsticks because I love them, and l did buy a few Louboutins. The Louboutins at least when they are finished you can give to your crazy mother to hang on her Xmas Tree as ornaments, so you don’t feel so bad for spending so much money on them. These jobs would be around 80.00 CAN, and look like a CHANEL Coco lipstick for half the price, which is still pretty high!

I know people are freaking out on the price, but this is in line with CdP, so I’m not fussed by it personally. I have two shades already (Bamboo and Water Lily) and will almost certainly pick up China Doll at least.

China Doll is freaking gorgeous, but the name is problematic and not PC anymore. I think this collection’s names falls under cultural appropriation these days. These looks super plush though and I’m Interested to see the grades!!!
