Smashbox Untamed Collection Review, Swatches, Photos

Packaging

Smashbox’s Untamed Collection is their summer launch featuring six new products, plus four shades of their Waterproof Shadow/Liner Duos. They launched two glosses, two eyeshadow/liner trios, creamy cheek color, and a brightening pencil.

I tested out the Untamed Waterproof Shadow Liner Trio in Savage ($29.00), which features a soft, beigey-pink, deeper olive green, and a warm, shimmery brown. They’re all creamy shadows designed to use as liners, bases, or eyeshadows. They are waterproof, therefore crease-proof, too. Just be sure to prepare yourself for the size of this product, because each part of the trio is fairly small. It’s not necessarily a bad value, it’s just surprising.

Terracotta Creamy Cheek Color ($24.00) is a soft, fleshy reddish-brown color that goes on sheer and creamy. It’s easy to blend, and it looks very natural on the face. It’s definitely not an overwhelming color, and it is a nice alternative to bronzer, too.

I also tried Untamed Lip Gloss in Raw ($18.00), which is described as a deep red. I’d have to say it’s more like a semi-sheer reddish brown, over a “deep red.” I really thought I’d like this shade, but it’s not as red as I was hoping for. It looks better on my lips than I expected it, too, though, because it goes on fairly sheer and just gives my lips more of a brownish-red tint.

That lipgloss is kind of a strange color, but I like it. Not sure how it would look on me though, i’m very cool-toned.

the shadow liners are pretty too! i like all 3 colors, very wearable.

thanks for posting! =]

I like that they put three shadows/liners together. I can’t imagine the size would be that big of a deal, considering how little is actually needed. I don’t think I’ve EVER used up an entire shadow or liner.

I tried on Raw lipgloss in Sephora after seeing it here and it looks really good. I might have to make it a future purchase. 🙂 Thanks for the heads up!

I have the lipgloss in Raw and I am very happy with it. I wasn’t sure if it would be as dark as it looked but I am glad that the color is sheer and buildable 🙂 I also have the other shadow/liner trio (with the purples) but I haven’t had the chance to try it because I misplaced it during a move 🙁
