Smashbox Always On Cream Shadow ($22.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is a new, cream eyeshadow available in 15 shades (most retailers are carrying only 10; the brand has all 15 directly). It’s intended to be a “cream eyeshadow” that is “infused with primer.” Here are swatches of all the shades!

Will wait for the reviews…I could see myself using vanilla, suede, or taupe as a quick one & done shadow if the formula is good (applies/blends easily, long-lasting). At first glance the formula looks a little dry – I don’t need anything that emphasizes my eyelid texture or crepiness! Thank you for the swatches, Christine. I’ll stay tuned…
Looking at the same three colors, mostly for lid prep, but also waiting for the reviews.
Same. Also would need anecdotal on wear from those with skin flap hoods like mine. My picks would be rose, guava, and violet for hazel green eyes.
Some of them seem patchy but Rose and Taupe look nice. I really like the idea of matte cream eyeshadow as a base.
I was really into eyeshadow sticks for a while, but found that the matte shades often felt a little sticky on the lid even after drying. Interested to see if these perform well because I do like the brown and warm neutral shades.
Hmmm- I don’t really like the colours of these shades – the neutral ones seem to have this finish which makes them look flat and all kind of muddy… and the pastel shades aren’t doing it for me either.
I think I like the SG cream eyeshadows the best.
If these are anywhere close to being as waterproof and lifeproof as their one Always On Eye Pencil in Fishnet, then count me in! I’m liking the looks of Amber, Barista and Sepia. Or one of the paler ones as a great primer.
I hope Ultramarine wasn’t the problem child of the bunch! It’s the color I was most interested in, but no swatches to be found? These seem like they would make great one and done shadows – looking forward to the reviews!
Are there swatches of Ultramarine that I’m not seeing? I only see 14 swatches here? Sorry for the confusion, just wondering if it might just be my phone.

I like that they have neutrals in a variety of shades plus some more artistic colors. I wish I could go sample these in person in a store, but alas.
Hmm i think it was Alanna on YT where i first saw her use these, might have been greige?! It looked very pretty on her and i was intrigued but a lot of the shades seem dirty so don’t think I’ll be grabbing any. I picked up the rare nearly neutral for a one and done shade and even over a set Mac paint pot it worked well. None of these shades call to me especially the tube application so I’ll probably just get the rare apricot shade now 😉
I enjoy that these are reminiscent of MAC Paints! Whether intended or not. I think the market needed something like this again – I adored mine. The colours seem to have a similar feel as well, on my monitor. I would give these a try for sure!
The whole second row’s in my wheelhouse (taupe griege, rose, guava).
But I have dupes (or close enough) between my Stila, Glossier, Rare Beauty and Danessa Myricks versions.
In my clean out last week I discovered I have a significant amount of liquid shadows (matte and glimmer) that I need to use first.
I love this color story! Kind of muted, kind of funky.
Ultramarine is stunning! But it stains. I have that and Barista. I plan on picking up a couple more, that I think could double as blush, delicately applied. These are a win for Smashbox, I hope they extend the color range.
I really want to try them! I’m so happy that they’re vegan too.

lol. I have become so basic “Ooh, look at Taupe and Greige!!” But, seriously, in a collection the size of any of us who read your blog every day, quality basics are always worth excitement.
