Sleek Makeup Arabian Nights i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Sleek Makeup Arabian Nights i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette
Sleek Makeup Arabian Nights i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette ($11.99 for 0.36 oz.) is a limited edition set of twelve eyeshadows in shades of “deep tones of green, blue and gold.” The i-Divine Eyeshadow formula is supposed to be “super-pigmented [and] long-lasting.” I think this is a worthwhile palette at this price point; there are a few misses, but there are enough hits to make it compelling. If you typically use primer, I think some of the misses will be more manageable. When Sleek nails it, they REALLY nail it, but when they miss, it’s usually by a fair amount, and I usually find their satin/matte shades to be a bit drier, which results in sheerer color payoff compared to their more shimmery shades that are usually amazing.
FYI, Sleek lists this as unavailable to ship to USA due to shipping regulations on their site, but it is also available for $9.99 (plus $2.50 shipping) via Amazon (I’ve only ordered Sleek via Amazon, and I’ve never had any issues–pretty quick to arrive, too!).
Scheherazade’s Tale is a light-medium, beige-brown with a metallic finish. It had excellent color payoff with a texture that felt almost creamy, so it applied very smoothly. It wore well for nine and a half hours before starting to crease. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Gold Souk is a light-medium, sparkling yellow gold with warm undertones and a glittery, metallic finish. It had fairly good pigmentation, and the texture seemed to stick together, despite it being a more glittery shade. On me, the color wore well for nine and a half hours and had a smidgen of fall out (surprisingly little, though!). See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Aladdin’s Lamp is a medium-dark brown with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had really good color payoff with a soft, smooth texture that was easy to apply and blend out. I was able to get nine hours of wear before it showed signs of fading. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Sultan’s Garden is a dark, smoky green with soft green and gold sparkle/shimmer. It was semi-sheer with a sheerer, drier texture that just didn’t yield good color payoff. On me, the color lasted well for seven and a half hours before fading. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Hocus Pocus is a rich, medium-dark green-leaning teal with a frosted, metallic sheen. The pigmentation was incredibly intense, while the texture was buttery and smooth. This shade wore well for ten hours on me before it was showing slight creasing. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Simbad’s Seas is a bold, rich bluish-purple with cool undertones and a frosted finish. It had amazing color payoff that applied smoothly and evenly due to the soft, buttery texture. It was still going strong after ten hours of wear. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Genie is a rich, medium-dark bronzy brown with a high-shine, metallic finish. This shade was very soft and intensely pigmented, so it was easy to over-apply, which made the metallic finish appear almost chunky. It was easier to apply on the lid knowing that, compared to when I initially swatched it. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Black Magic is a blackened navy blue with a satin finish and subtle cool undertones. It had so-so color payoff, as the texture was slightly dry and stiff to work with. On me, the color lasted for seven and a half hours before there was fading. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Stallion is a medium-dark burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-sheer pigmentation, and the texture was dry and stiffer in the pan, so it wasn’t as easy to apply as other shades in the palette. On me, the shade stayed on well for eight hours before fading, though. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Sorcerer is a blackened navy blue–just a darker version than Black Magic–that has a faint bit of purple-ish micro-shimmer and a satin finish. It had semi-sheer color coverage that was still blendable, but the powder was a little drier and thinner. The color wore well for seven and a half hours before fading. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Valley of Diamonds is a rich, medium-dark wine with gold sparkle over a satiny finish. It had really good color payoff, and it applied smoothly and evenly. The color didn’t show signs of creasing until after nine hours of wear. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
1001 Nights is a rich, deep black with a pearly sheen. It had the creamiest texture of a powder I’ve ever experienced–it really felt like a cream eyeshadow. It was smooth and richly pigmented, and it lasted for ten hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

It’s a beautiful palette!
I really liked it!
Oh wow, this looks like a great cheap way to try out some colours that I’m don’t usually wear. I especially the darker green, blurple and burgundy shades. Scheherazade’s Tale too. :).
And as a bonus, sleek is actually available at the drugstore down the road from my uni! Finally, living in the Uk makes it easier to find something rather than harder.
YAY! So glad you’ll be able to easily get this one 🙂
Simbad’ Sea is stunning! And at that price, you could justify getting the whole palatte!
Haha, exactly! Worth it. Just for Simbad’s Sea.
Simbad’s seas and valley of diamonds are so swoon worthy.
If only I hasn’t spent my makeup budget on lip liners and pulp fiction stuff.
Maybe it will still be available when your budget recovers!
I already ordered this from Amazon this morning, now I’m so excited! Too bad about the lighter green (Sultan’s Garden). But I basically ordered this just to have the quad on the right side, and those three jewel tones look amazing!
So glad you ordered one for yourself, Ginny! Enjoy!
That is one pretty palette!
I totally agree!
OMG! This palette made some beautiful eye looks!
It’s very vibrant!
I am somehow less excited about this one than Sleek’s last i-Divine palette. Still gorgeous though.
Aww, bummer!
interesting…although I cud never understand this brand to be honest…I mean their quality is pretty inconsistent traditionally…great this 1 works well but few swatches look slightly patchy to me…may be its just me???
Some products are better than others, though for $10, there are enough really great shades for me, personally!
Hi Christine, have you even considered reviewing Korean makeup brand such as 3CE? It’s so beautiful but I really want to know how it compares to the makeup here in US.
Thanks!!
I’ve thought about it, but right now, it’s not the best use of my review budget!
Omg this is one gorgeous palette and I don’t have anything like this in my collection. I have to get this before I go back to school, I’ll be ready for fall with this palette. Thanks for the review
My pleasure, Chanel!
SIGH….some beautiful shades in this, starting with Hocus Pocus. How I wish this were available here or I had a friend going to England!
If you’re game to buy it online, you should be able to do so either from Sleek directly or maybe Amazon.ca!
Whoot, new i-Divine palette! I have and love my Garden of Eden (which I just broke the lid of… womp). This is definitely getting bought on Amazon right now. Simbad’s Seas and Hocus Pocus! Swoon… I love your second eye look, I’m going to have to try that. Still down own Ody(sea) yet but I found UD Flipside isn’t far off.
Poor lid!
Hope you love it when you get it, Sara! 🙂
I’ve been eyeing these i-Divine palettes for so long now…. I was looking at the Oh So Special one but this one looks lovely and I LOVE the swatch for Valley of Diamond… what a pretty shade!!
Isn’t it? So rich!
I’ll be scouting this out for certain!
I really liked it! Perfect shades for fall.
I love Sleek’s palettes, these really give the high end brands a run for their money when it comes to quality. I have 3 of their palettes and this baby will shortly be becoming my forth. So many eyeshadows such little time to try them all! Such is life, but how can I resist at this price point? Thanks for the review. Christine, gorgeous looks as always x
Always happy to share, Kate! 🙂
OK, so I’m gonna have to take a moment here… let’s just break this down:
– Aladdin wass my favourite movie as a kid (like, I mean *favourite* – I can actually pretty much recite the entire script including songs :-P)
– FINALLY A BLUE SHADE THAT’S JUST AMAZING *flail*
– Incredible price point
– Lovely rich colour sccheme
*passes out*
*Wakes up again to mention*: and two gorgeous looks to go with it! THat last one is killing me, Christine – so pretty! 😀
Now… will you resist this or give into temptation?
Yeah…totally gave in. 😉
The shipping from the Sleek site to NZ was THREE DOLLARS FIFTY.
I just…!!!
!!!
(The storm palette may also have found its way into my order. *shifty eyes*)
Haha! 😉 They are very reasonably priced (even their shipping).
Makeup.co.nz has it for $19.95NZD (as soon as they have it in stock) 😉 (I’ll be ordering it too!)
Is it a coincedence that this looks like the upcoming LE MUFE Artist palette?
It has a lot more shades/finishes – don’t really think they overlap that much from what I can tell.
I NEED THIS!!!!!!
I hope you can try it, Maddie!
I want this purely because it reminds me of Starkids “Twisted” (a musical parody of Aladdin).
Fun 😀
Hi Christine, This eyeshadow palette the colors are gorgeous! The looks you created are very pretty, especially the first one. I love the whole palette.
Thank you so much, Maria!
SO TRUE! I saw and thought, “meh”, but then I saw that first look Christine put together and it just opened my eyes to a world of posibilities lol
I think I need to order some of these! They’re all so pretty!
It’s totally getting me in the mood for fall, despite the 95+ degree heat, lol!
What a great palette for fall!
Right? It has such a great fall vibe to it!
Omg this is gorgeous! All of the shadows look beautiful!
I love the color combinations you can make with it!
Oh *_*. This one looks like a winner, if only for those amazing deep sea colours.
For the price, the winners outweigh the losers, lol!
Oh wow! there are some beautiful colours in that palette and the way you’ve done your eyes in those photos is gorgeous – it totally embodies the arabian nights theme!
Decided to buy for myself after I saw your eye looks…I don’t have too many dupes of these colors and I’m excited to do some Arab-inspired looks 🙂 Thanks for the great review!
My pleasure, Jill! xoxo
I already have nine of their palettes. Looks like it’s going to be ten!
Perfect 10!
For that price, I am definitely going to have to get this palette! It is unbelievably gorgeous (and I love Ali Baba and the 100 Thieves – the original Aladdin!). My, oh my, do I ADORE that 2nd look you created! GORGEOUS! <3
Thank you, Shipra 😀
Since this one had a D and two C scores, I actually was going to pass on it. But then I compared it to the scores of Vintage Romance, which I own and absolutely LOVE, and it actually has a higher score! I will consider buying this for 10 bucks since I love all the Sleek products I own. I also love the names of the shadows 🙂
Sleek can do REALLY REALLY amazing eyeshadows when they have a fair amount of shimmer – but the mattes/satins can sometimes be misses for me (some are good, but they’re definitely not as consistent in this finish).
This palette looks absolutely beautiful – such fabulous colours for autumn. I think this palette is a must. I really love Hocus Pocus and Sultan’s Garden. Your eye looks are fabulous too Christine.
It has a really nice set of shades for fall!
Thank you!
I really like Black Magic!
Yay!
Wow! Beautiful! Everything looks beautiful on you! I’m going out and getting this palette now! Have never tried Sleek! I’m excited!
Thanks, Judith! Hope you fall in love 🙂
Love love love. I’m a Sleek makeup diehard fan. I ordered this palette this morning and I cannot wait!!
Thanks so much for this review Christine!!
Enjoy your new palette, Christabella! xo
I love this, especially Simbad’s Seas and Valley of Diamonds!
Simbad’s Seas is awesomeeee!
What a beautiful look you’ve created, especially the second one with the blues!
Thank you, Joy! 🙂
Scheherazade’s Tale, Hocus Pocus, and Simbad’s Seaass look really gorgeous! Love the box art too! The burgundies/purples and golds kinda remind me of last year’s(?) Vintage Romance palette though.
I can see how it has a similar vibe/feel of Vintage Romance, though this one is definitely more jewel-toned!
Such a rich palette!
Agreed!
Just ordered it! $12 (including shipping) for these Gorgeous colors and finishes???? Ummm yes! Plus, I have nothing similar to it. Here’s to my first sleek purchase! I cannot wait to use hocus pocus!
Hope you love it, Dani!!
Gettin it!
Yay!!
OH MY GOD. Such gorgeous colours! That quality for 12 dollars?! *hops onto the Sleek website and orders*
Haha 😀
So glad I just ordered this, I almost got two!
LOL!
Oh!!! Its beautiful!
It is!
All the colours are so good and u have done gorgeous eye work using this pallate..
Thanks, Faiza!
The quality as a whole is amazing for such a price point.
It is quite good! It’s very hard to get a total slam dunk – high end OR not. I wish their misses were more in the B territory than C/D, but you know, $12.
Wow, I LOVE Simbad’s Seas, it’s gorgeous! And Valley of Diamonds too! 🙂
Stallion is a nice colour for this palette, would’ve been nice if it was smoother. You always manage to do such incredible looks with these palettes, LOVE IT
Simbad’s Seas is amazing!
Wow! It’s like the best of all things expensive in a sleek inexpensive punch of well executed shadows! I don’t need it now but how nice!!! Price, pigment, and play. Excellent for any beginner-pro, yet the price truly is wonderful for younger ones on a budget. Seriously cool. I enjoyed this and the looks you made. 🙂
Thank you, Lotus! This is a great palette even if there are a few misses!
Looks stunning! I can tell the ones that are a bit of a miss but overall this looks like a stunning palette! I like to save sleep products on a list when I do box exchanges with UK partners 😀
Ooh, good idea 🙂
Wow, this palette is impressive! I usually don’t like to order makeup products online but I may just have to make an exception!
At least it isn’t too pricey!
I’m probably going to buy this palette JUST for Hocus Pocus. I’ve been really wanting like a dark teal green-ish color for a while and that looks so beautiful!! Thanks so much for posting this 🙂
My pleasure, Nina!
I’m a total sucker for gemstone shades, particularly multidimensional ones.
Stallion, Valley of Diamonds and Alladin’s Lamp are the standouts IMO.
Your left eyemakeup is just beautiful Christine. You may have even sold me on the MJ jazzberry highliner.
Thank you so much! 🙂 I love the color of Jazz(berry), but it is one of the drier eyeliners from MJB I have so I don’t like that (there are other readers who have had the total opposite experience and some that shared mine, so it seems to be a very inconsistent formula!).
Oh, dear! I thought the colours in this would be too dark, but, no! Beautiful! I have a few Sleek palettes, I don’t use them often, but when I remember them and do use them I always like the colours and the pigmentation, and the finish.
I love the looks you did.
I might actually have to go visit their web site and see if they ship to my corner of the world, or if I must ask my poor friend in The UK to order for me. I think this is a must have for me, but then MAC is on it’s way with the Romance Novel collection and I haven’t even been able to get the Moody Blooms, so much makeup, so little time and not enough money to buy it all. This will end with me making enormous spreadsheets comparing every aspect of everything, and then staring at them when in my cell at the looney bin 😀
The frosted finishes definitely help to brighten since they’re so reflective!
Fingers crossed they ship to you!
Oh my. I’ve been after a new Sleek palette for a while now, but I couldn’t decide which one to get. I think I’ve just found a winner!
Woohoo!! Ding ding!
I need this Pallate in my life
It is worth trying!
Oh, this one’s really, really calling my name. I already have quite the “problem” with Sleek Palettes (I own at least 8 I can get my hands on easily)… Eek!
The fact Sleek seldom seem to be able to get their act together re matte or even satin shades is a bit of a shame. Don’t get me wrong, I adore my Sunset, Au Naturel & Showstoppers palettes – but I’ve ended up with a few “disappointments” too (2012 Glory & Lagoon come to mind for me). Hocus Pocus, Sinbad’s Seas, Genie & Scheherazade’s Tale all appear to be gorgeous colors I don’t already own. 😉
PS: I adore both of the looks you created.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who wishes Sleek did better mattes/satins – some of them are nice, but they tend to be the misses for me.
It’s gorgeous!! *_* Any idea what the “available till stocks last” means? That is if it’ll still be available in a month or so? I’d love to get it but I’m currently traveling so I’ve got nowhere to send it 🙁
Until it runs out, so there’s no saying when!
Beautiful palette. Just used my Amazon points and got this for free! Thanks, Christine! 🙂
Yay!
Gorgeous! One day Sleek will be part of my collection <3
monica.
This is my all-time favorite less expensive eye shadow palette. I purchased a mini haul on my first time ordering. Sleek is very good product, also the quality of the makeup excels without killing your bank account.
