That Tatcha set, while steep in price, is a really good value if you like and use all the products. In Canadian pricing, there a $200 saving over buying the items individually, which I think it great. I already have 3 of the full sized items and I’m not totally sold on their primer so I’ll pass but it is a good value, that’s for sure. I like the lipstick mini sets but both contain shades I don’t wear along with those I do and I know from reading others’ experiences in the past with minis that they can be poorly assembled and break. Some other really nice offers here too – the Kerastase one has caught my eye!
I am with you about the Tatcha primer. I pretty much love all things Tatcha but the primer doesn’t do anything for my prep. I get better priming from drugstore primers. I agree that this is a great value but since I have the products I do like already, I will pass on this set.
Comforting to know I’m not alone about that primer. I’ve also got the Rice Enzyme Polishing Powder (the mini size) and it’s nice but I’ve got a full size of Dermalogica’s similar product and an every bit as good one from Indeed Labs that cost about 1/4 the price of either of the others (sadly, it’s discontinued but I’ve got an almost full bottle of it) so really don’t “need” anything in that set, though I would like to try the actual facial cleanser but will probably buy that on its own in the next VIB sale.
I use the Camellia Oil as my first step cleanse and I like it. It removes all my makeup and doesn’t leave a film on my face. I have never tried the other cleanser. I have the rice powder and I do enjoy that. I like the scent of it, also. I have used the water bomb moisturizer and it was nice but not worth the money when there are so many dupes for it out there and at a better price point. I have tried the mist but didn’t care for it as I didn’t love the scent, didn’t see that it did anything and so I stick with a cheaper price product. So, overall for me, Tatcha is hit or miss. I also saw a blog post, and for the life of me I can’t find it, but the blogger was an Asian blogger and she talked about the “false” claims of Tatcha and their PR regarding skin care and makeup from the Geisha’s and she was saying that it was a load of hogwash. Geisha’s apparently didn’t/don’t use the chemicals that are in Tatcha products. I don’t know if that is true or not but I have to admit, it did sort of affect my feelings about Tatcha.
Uh oh, I might be in trouble. All of these lip sets look gorg.
OK, I am officially jealous now of all these deals we don’t get or even see…..
I really wish they would come out with new shades for the lipstick sets, it’s the same shades year after year. Seems like they would sell more as well. Oh well, money saved there!
Easy skip for me. also though I’d love to try tacha… But I don’t want to try it and end up liking the products due to the price point. lol
