I understand why they are doing the sale so early this year but I usually don’t get into a holiday spending mood until later in the year. I will probably skip this sale. The discount is never enough to motivate me. I won’t be Rouge next year and maybe will be giving up shopping at Sephora altogether.

Same. I have a $10 point credit waiting and after I find a reason to use that, I’m moving away from Sephora generally. I’m making all my major presents this year and find fewer reasons to buy anything there.

I appreciate that 10% is better than nothing, but I have a hard time purchasing products at 10% off when I’m fairly certain most brands will be offering better discounts over Black Friday weekend. :/

This is likely my last year to be Rouge as I haven’t been purchasing much makeup and nothing from Sephora. I haven’t been on the website for awhile and haven’t really been following any beauty videos or blogs. I still check in here most days but haven’t really been moved to buy much. October is always a bit of a hard month for me and without getting too deeply into the causes, October being breast cancer awareness month has an impact on my mental health. Anyway, I will take a look but have been doing more purchases directly from brand websites and have mostly been buying more Indie brands. One of my two orders from Clionadh has shipped and the other will be shipped soon so I am anxious to get those. They were not suppose to ship until November so I am happy about that. The first order was all shades for my daughter’s Advent Calendar and the second order is for me. Hers is the one coming within the next week and I am happy as I was worried it might not get here in time for the calendar but now I am happy!!

Anyone want to help me decide between 2 palettes?
ND Bronze vs. PM Celestial Divinity!

I’ve haven’t tried either formula before and the shimmers and foils excite me most. Looking to treat my birthday self and open to recommendations! <3

Bronze unless you like having a variety of color. Also ND is coming out with a new palette possibly dropping to her site and Sephora maybe November 4th? If it does you should be able to use your discount. It’s all over IG. To me the Bronze palette is just more wearable and the shadows perform well. Same with her Glam palette!

They are both great. It’s just that one is neutral and the other colorful…what’s your preference? And like Dolores said, the new ND Trichrome is supposed to be dropping on their site on November 4th BUT it’s more expensive ($129). I’ll be grabbing that one!

Will be skipping! After 5 years of doing all my shopping at Sephora exclusively I ran into a sour situation. I had an issue with an order and after 4 months of calling and emailing I had to just give up and move on. I realized their customer service when it comes to complicated issues is not up to par with other companies. For this reason I have boycotted Sephora and would rather pay full price than be ignored continuously.

I’m honestly surprised that Ulta hasn’t had a 20% off almost all year. I also read that companies believe if they limit coupons, it will increase margins…and it will while also decreasing sales. Bed Bath and Beyond is doing this and they are already hemorrhaging.

I’m running low on skin care and will be purchasing a whole new regime after getting some minis that worked well for me. I have points at Ulta but literally everything in the Shiseido line that I want is not online. I refuse to go to my local Ulta store after I reported some teenagers spitting in a tube of lip gloss and putting it back in a box to a floor associate, who called me a “Karen” after I started walking away. She didn’t even go to the brand that had the contaminated product! I told the manager, who did nothing except say “she will talk to her”. Besides assurances from corporate after I complained along with dumping all the lip glosses from that vendor, color me soured. Even the “New management” sign hasn’t tempted me.

I am disappointed that Sephora stopped carrying some brands that were my go to. I feel fortunate to not have had the issues some others have had. But I will say they aren’t my exclusive anymore. I now always look for better deals straight from the vendor. Stores like Sephora and Ulta now feel so chaotic in person and it is not the pleasurable experience it used to be when perusing all the stuff. And I felt this way before COVID.

So I’m getting some skincare but that is it. I do look forward to the haul posts though to see if and what everyone got during the sale.

Wtf @ that Ulta experience. Sorry you had to deal with that. Ugh there are some real bad apples out there.

I wouldn’t want to go back either, and tbh I’ve dropped other stores for lesser reasons.

I received a 20% off coupon, including prestige, in October. I didn’t receive an email or coupon in the mail, which I thought was odd, but I noticed the coupon when I logged into my Ulta account on my laptop. It was on the main page. I received that offer when everyone else received the 20% off one item offer. I used the 20% off coupon, my $125 discount from my points and made my purchase on a day with a Break Break promo. Good times! So, always check your coupons on the Ulta website, as you may not always receive an email or coupon in the mail. Did anyone else get a 20% off prestige coupon in October?

Looking forward to not being rouge next year. Sephora’s reward program sucks and their sales aren’t particularly great either. Most brands do 25% or more a couple times a year and with Black Friday around the corner I’d rather wait for those. Not to mention, the skincare I get from them is always an older batch versus when I order from the brand’s own site.
