Sephora Green Tea Time (12) Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Sephora Green Tea Time (12) Eyeshadow
Sephora Green Tea Time (12) Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “shimmering light teal.” It’s a bright green-teal with a soft, frosted finish. Wet ‘n’ Wild Sparkle ‘Til Morning #4 is bluer, darker. MAC Fashion Circuit is darker. Maybelline Edgy Emerald is similar. NYX Seafoam Green is a bit darker. MAC Partylicious is a touch darker and brighter.
It had decent pigmentation applied dry, but it was more intensified and closer to full color coverage when applied wet. I had an odd problem with this shade: it applied in a very crumbly, uneven fashion. I would apply it–even damp!–and it would just… ball up on itself in a way. It looked patchy, a little faded, and it took a lot of packing on of the color to get mostly even color. It was an unusual experience, and it’s definitely not something I experience often with powder eyeshadows. The texture, in the pan, felt soft, smooth, and dense, but it just didn’t apply that way. When I wore it, there was some signs of fading after eight and a half hours of wear (no primer).

Love the color, it’s too bad that the formula is difficult to work with! Maybe it would apply smoother with a primer.
I absolutely agree about the primer; I have several shadows, across many brands, that have a similar issue, but a primer usually solves it. I don’t have oily lids, and creasing has never been an issue, but I *always* wear a primer. I know many feel a product should perform without one, and noone should have to buy an “extra” product to get a shadow to perform it’s best, yet noone thinks twice about buying a basecoat for nail polish, which is essentially the exact same thing; eye primer is a “basecoat” for the eyes.
I test polish without base coats and top coats, actually… 🙂
it looks a lot like an eyeshadow i have from farmasi but mine’s a bit greener and has a suble duochrome and very fine gold shimmer
Pity the formula seems so bad, because it’s a lovely colour.
To me that is blue, not green, but whatever 🙂 I still find it a pretty interesting shade.
Heyyyyy… this looks nothing like green tea! 🙁 *irrelevant*
This looks like it could be a dupe for Sugarpill’s Mochi (which has amazing texture and wear time)
The expiration time on that eyeshadow says 6 months. Anyone else think that seems like a really small amount of time for a single eyeshadow of this size? Who could use this up in 6 months? Weird.
Just an observation, but that color looks absolutely nothing like green tea.
I wondering should they adjust the price point in these shadows because of they’re in consistency?!?
Just bought this and tried it on. I fortunately didn’t experience any problem with the formula. It applied smoothly and evenly to the lid and was easy to blend with other shadows. The color is gorgeous!
