Round-up: Viseart Blush Palettes Overview

Viseart Blush Palettes
Viseart Blush Palettes

When the four variations of Viseart Blush Palettes ($80.00 for 0.84 oz.) were announced, I was excited to see the brand expand into cheek color, but I find I am much less impressed, overall, with their formula than I have been with their eyeshadow formula. They apply and look better on the cheeks than merely swatched, and they wear longer, but the coverage varies from shade to shade and some are easier to blend than others. Ultimately, they are decent to good but not impeccable, and I’m used to better from the brand, so I think that is why I ended up being a bit underwhelmed. I agree with a lot of readers who made comments to the effect that selling these as trios would have worked better for the consumer, though Viseart is a brand that was professional first, so I can see why they stayed within that vein as well. My favorites were the shimmery shades, as they were a lot easier to use and more consistent than the more matte shades.

Why are them so expensive, while the plastic case looks so cheap ? In picture the overall look of those palettes are not much different than Wet & Wild’s palettes.
Does the formula worth the splurge ? I don’t understand the price. At least with TF I know that the hefty packaging and the adds are making the price rise.
But Viseart, the formula better be A++ and blow you away at that price point.

Are Viseart product as good in quality as TF ?

The reality for me is that I don’t need to carry SIX blushes around with me. If these snapped apart and you could take them individually (at $100, which is what they cost here, surely they could develop packaging that could do this), it would make more sense for people who aren’t makeup artists. And as I have said before, for someone like me and with my colouring, I do not need rose toned and coral toned blushes, or pink and bronze in the same grouping. I only wear pinks, plums, berry tones – all those orange, coral and brown shades are a complete waste for me. In a 25 dollar duo, maybe but at $100, hey all need to be shades that flatter me and also they have to perform way better than these.

Six is a lot to add to one’s stash in one fell swoop, and at the $80 price point, I just feel like you have to really love them all to justify it! I can see the kits working better for artists for sure. I think the eyeshadow palettes, while they are one finish, have a better mix of light/medium/dark and undertones such that they tend to complement each other within the palette.
