Round-up: Chanel La Perle de Chanel Collection Overview & Thoughts

Chanel La Perle de Chanel Collection
Chanel La Perle de Chanel Collection

Chanel’s La Perle de Chanel Collection recently launched online (and I have no idea if it’ll make its way to stores, and if it does, when) with several limited edition products. I bought some, but not all, and it was mostly a let-down for me, unfortunately. I liked Mysterio (102) Illusion d’Ombre, but it’s fairly dupable. There is a five-pan lipstick palette, along with a limited edition shade of Rouge Allure lipstick and two limited edition shades of Aqualumiere Gloss also available.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I liked this collection better than you…but my skin tone is lighter. On me it looks muted and soft, very pretty for spring. And, as I so often like to say when something is cooler toned….for cool toned girls this collection is really ideal. Maybe lighter cool toned girls…but still…cool tones can be hard to find.

Good to hear! My skin is warm as well…but not super warm so I fall into the middle zone that can wear both. My daughter has super cool undertones so I’m always looking for her.
These did look lovely on you…I totally agree that they work on warm toned people as well!

I was sadly unimpressed with the performance of the blush, eye palette, and eye palette. That just made me afraid to try the lipstick I wanted! Since it is apparently a online exclusive collection, a bit too risky for me! Thank you for doing the reviews Christine..saved me tons for other stuff!

It very well may. it looks like something that could be worn in fall as well. So, I could see it as a repromote. The only Chanel lipsticks I have ever owned are the two from the first spring release. So, after my flub with Anastasia, it just makes me nervous. Ill check the web a lot because the counters here are so little and I rarely get to the mall these days . Plus, unless I have something specific in mind, I really don’t like going to the counters because they pressure you. I prefer Ulta And Sephora because you can just play around with stuff. But they don’t carry “luxury” lines where I am sadly. I am sure it is pretty dupabale or close enough.

I love the colour of the purple shade in the quad! It’s a shame that it’s a little sheer, and comes with two colours (baby pink and cream) that I don’t tend to prioritise in my eyeshadow collection/looks 😉 Not something I’d be able to fork out $120 for, LOL! *goes back to wallpapering apartment with imaginary $100 bills*
