I love BeneTint (only one I’ve ever used so it’s the only one I can talk about). I like that it keeps a bit of color on my lips so I don’t look like a zombie in between gloss applications.
Not a huge fan because they seem to be drying and don’t have the amount of shine that I like.

Try putting lip balm or lip gloss on top – your lips will shiny and moisturized 🙂
I love Body Shop stain. I’ve also tried the Balm’s stainiac and Benetint and liked them both a lot, but Body Shop is easier on my student wallet.
I love stains because they give my face a bit of colour and last much longer than lipstick or gloss. I tend to be pathologically late for class, so on most days I just wear mascara and a bit of stain on my lips and I look awake 🙂
stila cherry crush = my HG stain. gotta have it 🙂
i like how stains just look like naturally red lips bc it doesn’t rub off or kiss off. the flush isn’t too strong and it lasts for at least a few hours (lipsticks rarely last on me)
I have the lip stain that came out with last years designer….total brain fade on the name BUT the lip stain is really nice. I find that if you put gloss on top though that it kinda ruins the stain look and just rubs off super quickly. Instead I put some lip blam like Burts Bee on first, let it soak in for like 5 min and then add my stain on top. Doing so does cut down on a bit of the lip life of the stain but if my lips are dry wearing a lip stain is really UGLY.
I love my not so shy see thru lip colour from MAC, I’ve almost used up my first tube!
I love the Cover Girl stains, Urban Decay make the grossest stains though !
never tried a lip stain so i cant wait till rose romance by mac comes
out.
i also have to agree that urban decay lipstick tastes so nasty, i couldnt wait to get it off my lips. – it tastes like plastic.
i looooove stila cherry crush but i cant stand how the brush gets all dirty 🙁
my favorite topic: lip stains. I long for stained and moist lips..lol.
so, my favs are: CG, Styli Style (I think they are out of business), Liptini, Laura Mercier has a few good ones but pricier, Stila, and Tarte Balms.. good old chapstick works well on top of any stain if your lips dry out — or try some Rosebud salve.. yummy:)
Like them…but don’t like the drying effect they have.
I recently bought the covergirl lip stain and have been incredibly disappointed, i love the colour but I find it fades incredibly fast. like within minutes.
the only I have is the one from The Body Shop and I like it. I looking forward to the Stains in MAC
I love the stain from Tarte’s Rise & Shine. The stain doesn’t dry and lasts for hours.
I love the natural color of stains but not the drying effect.
I love lips and cheek stains. The only ones I didn’t care for I think were the ones by Revlon. MAC and Vincent longo are my faves. A little gloss on top and you’ve got all day color that looks like your lips are really pigmented to the color you stained to. Oh and NARS lipstains are awesome.
