I love that it gives a natural sheen to my skin, but you’re right. It doesn’t last as long as a matte blush.
Because of having read that they are not very long-lasting, I don’t believe I’ve ever purchased one. Although I do have a Clinique Cheek Pop, I forget whether or not those are “baked”? They certainly look baked, but I don’t remember?
I pretty much just second what Christine said! I really like how blendable they are, since I’m fairer and it’s easy to over-apply blush. They give a very natural look, but they don’t last quite as long as pressed formulas.
I love the sheen, but sometimes they have a habit of emphasizing texture along the cheeks which is why I sometimes avoid them.
Love-the luminosity they can give to the skin and how easy they are able to blend into the skin
Hate-they don’t last as long, selection of shades from some brands (sometimes too luminous or just don’t work on my skin as they aren’t as true to what is in the pan but would work on someone darker than me)

I really like baked blushes. Especially because of the light luminosity that some of them can give off.
But you’re right Christine, they aren’t very long wearing especially on my oily skin. I like the layer a long-lasting liquid blush like Becca’s Beach Tints under a baked blush to extend the longevity without compromising the beautiful sheen.
I don’t care if my blush is baked, sauteed or fried 😛 as long as it works for me : )

Rant: They are frequently not done well: They can be under-pigmented and difficult to pick up on a brush.
Rave: They give a gorgeous finish, and are usually easy to sheer out. When done right, the pigmentation is concentrated and beautiful.
Same as you, Christine. Baked formulas don’t often last that well on my face, but they’re so pretty! I almost always wear just regular powder blushes, but sometimes will use baked ones as blush toppers to give extra sheen.
For starters, many tend to be talc-free, which for someone who reapplies sunscreen regularly, this is an important factor. I also find they run more “natural” in shade selection, and sheerer, both of which I prefer for cheek products. As for wear-time, it’s not a factor; again, I reapply sunscreen (and therefore base products every couple of hours), and next to lip products, blush is the easiest/quickest product to touch-up. The fact they run more “natural” in color, and are talc-free, also helps them fade gradually/evenly, unlike “traditional” pressed formulas, which can get patchy with wear.
I love how beautiful sheen they’re on the cheeks and easy to blend with soft creamy texture.the only thing I don’t like in the baked blush is that they often don’t have a good color payoff/pigmented when try to build it more layer it mean you will add a extra sheen in the baked blush too
I kinda like baked blush/bronzer for the reasons I dislike baked eyeshadows. Now, all marbled baked items are pretty in the pan, but they tend to run towards less pigmented. I’m not a huge fan of blush, so when I wear it, I go for as subtle as possible. It is a lot easier to go subtle with a baked blush. However, if I were a darker skintone, I’m sure I’d not enjoy the subtler pigmentation as much.
