LYS Beauty Fearless Aim High Multi-Use Liquid Highlighter ($19.00 for 0.6 oz.) is a darker, chocolate brown base--though still translucent--with lighter, golden pearl throughout. It had sheer, somewhat buildable coverage, though it was intended to be used all-over, mixed in with foundation, or used alone, so the sheerness was as marketed.
The overly fluid, almost runny, consistency made it easiest to use as something mixed-in or applied all over the face as an ultra-sheer layer of luminosity. It was hard to get an even, precise layer of product as a standalone highlighter. I'd recommend putting some of the back of the hand (and way too much dispenses!), then letting it dry down a little before picking up product on a brush or fingertip to apply to the high points of the face to spot highlight.
The formula fully dried down after about 30 seconds but still had a wet-look sheen to it when I was able to get an even layer of product (as a standalone highlighter), though it just wasn't as effortless as I've come to expect for these types of formulas. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
