It's March 2025 and I just was introduced to Inglot's Lipstick Matte through a great makeup and travel blog I stumbled upon called The Working Line:(https://theworkingline.com/inglot-matte-lipsticks-405-411-review-swatches/ and
https://theworkingline.com/inglot-lipsticks-408-409-429-swatches-review/)
So, I ordered shade 411 and fell head-over-heels, to the point where I immediately ordered three more shades (420/426/443) plus two 411 backups. Yes, it's a non-soft formula that won't apply well to chapped, crusty lips. But that doesn't mean it's not moisturizing, because it really is. The hard formula is what allows me to put on a couple of layers and it wears comfortably for many hours. It feels like I just have lip balm on and it's always surprising to look in a mirror during the day and realize I have fully-made-up lips - - that's how weighless this feels. (Note: The warmth of my skin seems to soften the bullet a little during application.) This company really understands cool-toned versus warm-toned, and their shade selection reflects that understanding. Anything warm-based (brown/orange/yellow undertones) looks horrid on me. I need blue or purple-based shades and I've found plenty of those at Inglot (and sadly few with most other makeup lines these days). So if someone's looking for a true matte that won't budge, has no fragrance nor flavor, gives incredible color payoff, feels like a nourishing balm on the lips, has massive wear time, offers a large shade range, chic packaging, and is cost-effective, I suggest they give Inglot a try. On the U.S. Inglot site, Lipstick Matte was $21, but they had a long-running special of 25% off all lip products, so they came out to $15.75 each. (IMO, they are well worth $21 each.) The Inglot bullet is measurably more product than those of other makeup brands. I have numerous Givenchy lipsticks that run $44 each and the bullets are 1 inch long - - a lot less product compared to Inglot's. (Yeah, I know I'm raving, but this one's in the Holy Grail pantheon for me.)
