Oh, smiles…lets see! Kalemat, Vintage Shalimar extrait (I’ve a 1960’s bottle), and a good, really red lipstick. Guerlain, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Too Faced, NARS, but its got to be luxe and absolutely NOT feather!

Tom Ford Violet Fatale, hands down! Guerlain Gigi is also a great one (maybe Gourmandise from the Rouge G L’Extrait line, too). I’m quite fair, so a bold lip just makes me feel…sassy. Urban Decay Anarchy is also an attention-getter!

By the way, Christine, would you happen to off the top of your head think of any dupes/close matches to Guerlain Gems? It’s so lovely!

Mine would be these: Becca Mineral Blush in Damselfly, Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Rouge Noir and Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in Destinee, Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs Les Ombres Turandot and Rouge G in Gigolo, Tom Ford Cheek Color in Love Lust, Versace Eau de Toilette in Bright Crystal ๐Ÿ™‚

MAC Cherry lip pencil and MAC Cult of cherry lipglass
even my SA’s loveeee it on me and also rem the red pout for daysss ๐Ÿ˜€
i always gets compliment on these 2 ๐Ÿ˜€
and yeah MAC Russian Red and Chilli which is hubby’s fav and he always makes it a point to compliment on these without a fail
makes me smile ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Red lipstick always makes me happy, but I feel like that’s a color that demands more smize than smile. ๐Ÿ˜›

NARS Copacabana gets a real smile out of me. I like the way the product catches the light, and what better way to do than give myself a face lift with a smile? ๐Ÿ™‚ Cargo Prague blush is also a big one – so long to find that perfect neutral brown-pink blush, and now it’s mine!

Boy bait gloss by MAC, and anytime I can get my brows to look even it makes me smile I’m very new at “doing” them and it’s still quite challenging for me ๐Ÿ™‚

Chanel’s Joues Contraste Blush in Malice and Guerlain’s Crazy Terracotta Healthy Glow Powder. They make such a difference that I can’t help but smile!

Laura Mercier Artist Palette, NARS New Lover velvet gloss, Chanel Rose Moirรฉ nail polish (on a beautiful summer day) and my Kanebo cheek brush (softness redefined). Also, my foundation. So nice to see one’s complexion getting evened out.

This is a great question actually… I realized not that many products actually brought a smile to my face. I should remember this next time I feel like impulse buying.

NARS Ondine; even when I just throw this on my lids & add a bitnof mascara, my eyes look so radiant. HG shadow, definitely!

Cacharel Lou Lou; I’ve been wearing it for 25+ years, and there are so many memories tied to it.

Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup & Finishing Powder; I have only had this a few days, and it os as close to HG as I have found for an “everyday” foundation. Plus, it just feels really good to apply it, as yhere is an intriguing “cooling” effect.

Anything from my NARS One Night Stand palette, any shadow from my Sigma Paris palette, a coral pinky red lipstick from some european brand my friend bought me, and any of my Lit cosmetics glitters.

Dior Amber Diamonds, NARS Blush in Sin, MAC Russian Red lipstick, Benefit Coralista and probably way more that I can’t think of at the moment.

Definitely my Guerlain Meteorites – love everything about them and also love the pink brush. Best splurge ever.

A close second would be my Chantecaille Les Macarons Palette as I love and use every single thing in it and I got it during their 30% off sale. The deep, blackened-plum shadow/liner, Cassis, is just stunning.

What a fun way to think about what items in our collections are truly special. Everyone looks especially beautiful when they are smiling!

Mac St Germain!! My fav pink lipstick of all time! I get so many compliments on it and I always feel pretty wearing it ๐Ÿ™‚ It is my holy grail pink lip!!

So many…. theBalm Mary Lou ‘Manizer, Bare Minerals Connoisseur eyeshadow, Guerlain Chant d’Aromes lipstick, Mac Designer Purple, L’Oreal Golden Emerald eyeshadow, Mac Ruby Woo…

Angel perfume, candy yum yum mac lipstick, st germaine, snob, superglasses, wish mac would re release! My coco pink channel lipstick. Heroine lipglass, and cant wait for the lipstick omg!! My mac hello kitty collection always makes me smile so much. Im so gonna make a point of going out of my way to wear alll of these this week cuz i need a winter blues pick me up right now. My three ysl glosses also make me smile. lil luxuries make me happy. I dont need a mercedes, but some high end makeup always is top of my list

Hourglass Dune eye shadow duo. I so love the lighter shade (similar to MAC Patina but “mo’ bettah”). Nars Nouveau Monde duo and UD’s Vice2, which I nearly didn’t buy. Putting on Clarins Red Wine lipstick puts a smile on my face too and always makes me look better.

Good question! Hmm… I’d say

– Chanel “incandescente” Lipstick
– Chanel Poudre Signee De Chanel Illuminating Powder from Spring 2013
– YSL Parisienne Perfume
– YSL Shocking Mascara

My YSL lipstick in Nude Beige. The packaging is so luxurious and the color and formula are amazing! I always wear it on special occasions and feel so classy when I whip it out, lol. Also Nars lipstick in Honolulu Honey. It’s my favorite of all time.

Forever Marilyn beauty powder by Mac. I use it was an undereye/cheekbone highlight and it works so beautifully on my pale skin. I’ve already hit pan on one and I have a backup but I’m going to shed real tears the day that I run out of it.

Here are just a few ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
โ– Kerstin Florian Rehydrating Neroli Water!!! I wish they would make that scent as a perfume.
โ– Zoya Charla – like sparkling mermaid scales. And really most nail polishes.
โ– Missha Cho Bo Yang BB Cream – makes my complexion look wonderful.
โ– Bliss Lemon+Sage body butter and high intensity hand cream (same scent).
โ– A pretty lippie, a brightening blush, light contouring, highlighter, tightlining, mascara, Guerlain Meteorites (I’ve got Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder on it’s way!) – any or all of these because they each enhance appearance with subtle transformation.
โ– Nars Marie Galante eyeshadow duo – looks like fairy dust.
โ– Carol’s Daughter Monoi Shampoo – smells like gardenia
โ– Issey Miyake L’eau D’issey – I love the top notes.

So many beauty products make me smile due to their color, scent/texture/packaging/transformational abilities etc. because in and of itself, beauty is fun, like playing, like art!

I finally got my first Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder (in Dim light) and that stuff is the bomb. Photoshop in a box! I love Meteorites for that subtle highlight, and the Ambient Lighting is just perfect for smoothing out the complexion. I hope you love yours too! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks Tigerlilly!
I just got Luminous Light, and I love it. I can use it lightly as a finishing powder, and then use my finger to apply it as a soft highlighter too making it multi-purpose. It’s beautiful, and a similar effect as Meteorites

It took me forever to decide which one to try since I wasn’t able to swatch them. I ruled out the two lightest ones because I have the Nars Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder, and I thought they might be too similar. I was really tempted to get Dim Light like you did, but my coloring is fair-light (NW15-20) with pink undertones, and I read several reviews with similar skin tones that said it was either too peachy or too dark for them. Hopefully I can swatch them all myself sometime.

One of the best parts for me about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders is that they are talc free – I had to limit my use of Guerlain Meteorites (I have Teint Rose 01) to special occasions because talc and my skin don’t do so well together. My new Luminous Light will allow me to use it’s very similar effect daily if I want to. Yay!

* An amazing cat eye always makes me smile, even though I’m hopeless at doing it myself and have to rely on gracious makeup artists to do it for me.
* New beautiful dark red pedicures
* Clean, neat, nicely-arched eyebrows
* Benefit Georgia and Dandelion face powders (gorgeous colors and scents!)
* My favorite perfume Chanel Chance
* And pretty much any time I’ve done a good job with my makeup and I think I look pretty good and I get compliments (especially from my husband!).

My Sleek blushes and my Catrice lipsticks! They are perfection – holy grail products for me! The former because of the effect that all of them give – there is not one that I don’t like – and the latter because the texture is so lightweight that it really feels like I have nothing on my lips at all.

Sorry, I do not have that shade, so I have no idea what it looks like!

It was made in 2009? If it was made in 2009, it might be OK to wear if it’s been kept cold. If it smells and looks the same, it might be fine to use but at your own risk of course.
