Pink & Burgundy Look with Wet 'n' Wild
Wet ‘n’ Wild Petal Pusher Look
This is a look I did to test out several products I hope to review (some I’ve reviewed at this point, some I haven’t).
You will need the following…
- Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), Wet ‘n’ Wild Petal Pusher Eyeshadow Palette (lilac, copper rose, burgundy brown), Burberry Trench Eyeshadow (highlighter), Urban Decay Perversion 24/7 Liner (black), Illamasqua Glisten Eyeliner (champagne), Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara (black)
- Face: NYX HD Studio Foundation (04 Sand Beige), Guerlain Les Violettes Mineral Powder (03)
- Cheeks: NYX Menage a Toris HD Grinding Blush (tangerine coral)
- Lips: NARS Frivolous Velvet Gloss Pencil (sheer pink)
- Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 222 (fluffy crease brush), 263 (angled eyeliner brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Apply the lilac eyeshadow to the lower half of the lid with the 239. Next, apply the copper rose eyeshadow to the upper half of the lid and crease with the 217. Then, apply the burgundy brown eyeshadow into the crease and blend upward with the 219. Use Trench eyeshadow to highlight the brow bone and diffuse the crease color with the 217. Apply Perversion liner on the lower water line and Glisten liner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Inimitable Intense mascara.
For cheeks, apply Menage a Trois blush on the apples of the cheeks and pat towards the temple with fingers.
For lips, apply Frivolous pencil for a complementing lip.
so pretty!
Thank you, Sara!
You look great! I love the colours ♥.
Thanks, Denise!
I love this look so much I have to get the petal pusher palette. Thanks for the idea for this look.
Thanks so much, Kayla! 🙂
Wow, loving it ! It suits you perfectly 🙂
Thank you, Emilie!
Ooh that blush is pretty! It looks to similar to Benefit Sugarbomb – do you think they’re similar?
Ohh, definitely not – Sugarbomb is pinker while Menage a Trois is tangerine!
This looks so nice! I was looking for makeup inspiration today, and I’ll see if I have some similar colours and give this a go 🙂 Thanks!
Thanks, Steph!
Love this look!!! you look so pretty (as always)
Thanks a lot, Eva!
Lovely.
Thank you, Sadie!
So pretty! I love this!
Thanks, Ashley 😀
Wow gorgeous! I love this look. Very subtle but glam too. Thanks!
Thank you, Ashley!
Beautiful! I particularly like these colors on you. I really am digging how much Wet n Wild has stepped it up. I remember buying the brand a loooong time ago when I first got into makeup (I won’t say how long, just that I’m older than you, lol) and it was terrible, waxy, chalky and smelled of plastics
Thanks a lot, Cassy! 🙂 I remember that, too, but they’ve definitely changed–at least for a few products!
I love this MU. Wish those palettes were available in France ! >.<
Very nice MU as always. 😉
Thank you! I hope they increase distribution! Even here, they can sometimes be difficult to track down.
Love it! I’m definitely getting that W & W palette now!
Thanks a lot, Chelsea!
beautiful, christine!! may have to try this look for my shopping excursion tomorrow! thanks! =)
Thank you, Jae!
I am loving this look! Those purples are to die for and it looks expensive too…lol. Things don’t have to be expensive to look it! ; ) You are stunning as always Christine!
Thanks, Jesi!
Such a gorgeous look! I will most certainly be buying that now! Beautiful as always!!
Thanks a lot, Jeanatte!
Amazing colors and payoff from a DS shadow palette! I should hunt this one down.
Oh you have to review the Guerlain Les Violettes!! Wondering if it wears well alone or better as a setting powder. Parure Gold was a win thanks to you.. so I’m wondering if this powder will be a good addition as well.
I’ll try, Jaime!
You’re so pretty Christine. It’s like any color combo would work great on you!
Thank you, Vijaya!
This is a pretty look for spring. I think I might duplicate this using shades I already own. 🙂
it’s really cool that you’re reviewing all these affordable products! thanks christine!
I’m lovin’ this look on you. You have such bright sunny eyes. Gold, pink and corals look so lovely on you.
Thanks, Neha!
That coppery rose brown shading is so beautiful! I like the blush very much as well – it’s a pity the NYX range in NZ is so limited and we don’t have Wet ‘n Wild at all 🙁
I love purple on you Christine!
Thanks so much, CeeBee!! Hopefully they’ll make their way to NZ!
I love this look on you Christine! Very flattering 🙂
Thanks a lot, Anna!
LOVE this look – so beautiful!

Your skin looks so good in these pictures I might have to give that foundation a try.
Just gorgeous,Christine!!

Gorgeous. Stop making me want to get this (I have way too much eyeshadow already)!
Thanks a lot 🙂
Okay. Wasn’t thrilled with the look of this palette when you reviewed it, but now it’s definitely going on my wishlist! I absolutely love, love, love this look 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT !
Thanks a lot, Bernice!
Really pretty, Christine! I love that little bit of shimmer over the lid.
Thanks, Jen!
Thank you for doing a more affordable line of products for a change: it’s interesting how discerning you are vis a vis quality- you are extremely fair about this, it seems to me- and this information is truly useful for those of us who don’t have easy access to all the high-end brands. I am impressed with you and with the NYX line.
Thank you, Beth!
You look sooo beautiful!
Thanks so much, Ginnia!
This is such a stunning look on you, really flattering for your features
Thanks, Julia!
Love this look on you!!!
Thanks a lot!
This look is lovely and is perfect. It’s subtle but still there. Lovely.
Thank you, Rachel!

Thanks a lot, Gaby!

Thanks!
This is a REALLY pretty look on you, Christine!
Thank you, Mariella!
Oh! I wasn’t too impressed of Wet ‘n’ Wild
when I read the review but now I gotta get it! So pretty!
Oops, I meant to write “Wet ‘n’ Wild Petal Pusher”, not just “Wet ‘n’ Wild”.
Hope you like it!
Gorgeous! This look rivals any of the high-end products you’ve used. 🙂
Really? I disagree, but I guess it’s because of how faded the copper rose shade was and how much I had to pack on that I found it pretty disappointing myself!
christine, would you say the “copper rose” shade is similar to vainglorious from VV?
No, not at all.
Wooooooooow! I can’t get over how fabulous this look is. I probably like it so much because it looks like something I would wear, haha. That blush is gorgeous!
Thanks a lot, Jessi!
Gorgeous!
Thanks, Ruby!
gorg! wow beautiful pallette and cheap too! 🙂
Thank you, Kay!
I purchased the palette because I loved the look you created even though I normally shy away from drug store brands. All of the colors worked well except for the rosey burgundy color. You are a magician to get that much color from it. Can you think of a dupe?
I can’t think of a dupe off hand! I packed it on about six times, LOL!
agree w/ the other girls, glad to see wet n wild has raised their standards. beautiful look. i would love to do something similar. i think the crease color kinda reminds me of mac’s trax. i love that color!!
Thanks, Angela!
I know it”s been months, but I love this look so much, I’m copying it as my wedding look tomorrow
Thank you!
I wore this look the other day and I got so many compliments from my friends! It’s gorgeous!
