Philosophy Raspberries & Cream Lotion

Philosophy Raspberries & Cream Body Lotion ($24.00 for 16 fl. oz.) smells EXACTLY like raspberries and cream.  It’s just ripened, perfectly sweet raspberries with the milkiness of cream to temper it.  Smells delicious… makes me want to hunker down with some dessert!  Philosophy really has a knack for nailing the scents they’re after.  You may not love the scent, but you can’t say it isn’t true to its name.  I picked this up at Nordstrom last week, because I couldn’t resist — I’m a sucker for raspberries.  They’re my favorite fruit!  But nevertheless, I’m glad I did.

It’s a lightweight lotion that feels creamy and absorbs in about five minutes.  You get a giant bottle (at least, it seems giant to me, I don’t know when I’ll finish it, if I ever do!), and you really don’t need more than a two pumps for a leg.  It’s not an ultra thick, ultra rich body cream–it’s definitely a lotion.  I like it for summer and as an everyday lotion, because it doesn’t take forever to sink into skin.

I haven’t sniffed this yet, but I would like too. I currently have my nose and eyes on the Apricots and Cream. I really want to sniff it before buying, and sadly I don’t have a Philosophy counter near me.

I think I need to try this. I love raspberries! It borders on obsession. Fresh raspberries from the market, raspberry juice…anything I can get my hands on! LOL.

Maybe I’m just too sensitive to scents but all of Philsophy’s body washes and lotions smell way too synthetic and sweet to me. I remember sniffing this in-store and thinking it was like candy, not raspberries (and I LOVE raspberries too!) and I’ve thought the same thing about every other foodie Philosophy scent I can remember (except I did really like Apricots & Cream which came out with this one, I think). *sigh* Wish I could enjoy them like everyone else!

I love raspberries too! I have a bush in the backyard but sadly my dog eats most of them each summer. She gently plucks each one off the bush until her belly is full.

I have to get this lotion, but I am afraid she will try to eat me 😀

My favorite Philosophy body lotion is SomeBody – it’s lightly scented and I love how it does not clash with whatever perfume I am wearing. It made my skin super soft. That said I may have to check this out because I do love the scent of Raspberries!
