Philosophy Cookies n' Creme Shower Gel Review, Photos, Swatches
Philosophy Cookies ‘n Creme Shower Gel
Mmm, Cookies ‘n Creme
Philosophy Cookies n’ Creme Shower Gel ($16.00 for 16 fl. oz.) is a new-for-fall scent that is as sweet as you’d expect it to be. It starts with a very basic sweet vanilla aroma, but then the deliciousness of chocolate cookie comes through; it’s exactly what I remember Cookies ‘n Creme ice cream smelling like.
This is a rather foodie scent, and as such, quite sweet, but I don’t find it synthetic or overwhelming, but this is not a scent that lingers. One of my favorite things about Philosophy’s shower gels is that they smell amazing when you’re using them but don’t leave you smelling like food all day. It lathers up incredibly well, and a little dab will do you–probably a quarter’s worth (maybe a touch more) should get you sudsy in no time.
Before the boy started stealing my bath products (OMG, he uses TWO PUMPS of my Kate Somerville cleanser–I use half a pump, AHH!), a bottle like this would last me months. With his “generous” usage, a bottle lasts about a month and a half. And can I just say I can’t wait until full-sizes of Pumpkin Spice are back?

RECOMMENDATION: Personally, I like it, but it’s not my all-time favorite scent, but I do love the formula and all that. If you like sweeter, foodie scents, you might like this one!
AVAILABILITY: Sephora
the label of most of their products say you can use it as a shampoo. Have you ever tried it? I wonder if it is drying, or if it is a really good shampoo. I always check your reviews before I buy! Thanks for your honest opinions.
I have, but it’s not my fave. It seems to clean, but I feel like I use too much of it since it doesn’t lather as well in the hair as it does on the body. Maybe it’s my thick hair that eats it!
LOL! I agree with the pumpkin spice, one of my favorite smells in the world!
I really want to try the Pineapple Coconut. I am obsessed with anything that smells like Pina Colada and then Pumpkin in the fall!! <3
I'm glad you had luck with this product. I'm sure Philosophy does pretty well with all their bath and body items.
For some reason, the idea of smelling like any sort of baked dessert isn’t appealing to me. I do like their candy cane body wash though– pepperminty!
I smelled this the other day at Sephora and was tempted to buy this.I have never tried Philosophy products so now I may have to make a return trip and buy this lol. I love warm scents like vanilla, coconut, chocolate etc.
I hope that they will re-release Very Cherry Christmas. I went through my bottle in a month.
Christine,
is there a reason you increased the rating on this? For your video review you gave it a B+ then upgraded to an A-, was there something about it that changed your mind?
Oh, I looked at my previous shower gel reviews and gave those A-! It–apparently–seems that I’m inconsistent on the value portion of this product, some getting 8 and the last one (Pumpkin Spice Muffin) got 9/10 (2% difference, LOL, which is why one is B+ and one is A-). I think 8/10 is about right, so I’m going to go back and make sure the rest are consistent with that.
lol@(OMG, he uses TWO PUMPS of my Kate Somerville cleanser–I use half a pump, AHH!) so funny 🙂
Yesterday, my boyfriend used a new lotion I got for myself. He used about 8 pumps just for his arms. After the third, I was thinking “are you going to stop anytime soon?!!” Odd, since he said he wasn’t crazy about the smell…
OMG, right?? You stand there with your jaw on the floor going, “THAT IS PRECIOUS GOLD. WHAT ARE YOU DOING????”
hmm that smells so divine!
