This is a smart move for an in demand high end brand. Offer highly popular shades in a smaller footprint, or should I say eyeprint? Much like C’s perfume decants, it gives the opportunity to sample the formula, colors, and feel of PML’s products. P can develop a new audience of consumers who do not wish to jump in for full palettes at high prices and would rather dip their toes first. The craziness of many Pat launches and poor CS have alienated even solid fans. The colorways look wearable for all skintones and combine well for a variety of looks. I see this as a good move, as long as the offering does not get swamped.

These swatches make zero sense, it’s like I’m looking at two different palettes. There are 3 purples in the pan and I only see 1 on the swatch.
This looks like a Too Faced tin palette from the years past. I’m not loving this new packaging format, I think it’s cheapening the brand.

Okay, so as someone who’s never purchased Pat McGrath, this release piques my interest. I like the packaging and price. I’m curious about why the change…unless it’s to attract people like me who hadn’t previously been interested in the brand?

She has done a few mini palettes in the past that got complaints about packaging, especially the “Mini Eye Ecstasy” palette. It seems she’s trying to do different styles of affordable packaging and see what works.

Super cute!! I have all these shades from the bigger palettes so I wouldn’t be getting this. The Night Creature shade in the Mothership isn’t the best formula, so hopefully she improves on that for this mini edition. The name Midnight Voyage reminds me of Viseart Mini Voyageur.

At this price, it’s a good way for someone to try PMG shadows but for those of us who have the bigger palettes it’s probably an easy pass. My gut reaction – boring.

A small eyeshadow palette with curated shades and a price tag to boot? Yeah, ok, I see you PMG. This isn’t my color story (much like pink, purple is also off the menu), but hell yeah I’m here for curated tiny eyeshadow palettes again!!

Nice palette however with all the motherships and quads I own i will pass.. but again what I really need from Mother Pat is a face palette and Bronzers!!!

I have Eleganza (it’s in the Mothership VIII: Divine Rose II palette) and it’s one of my favorite shades, the perfect one and done. It also look NOTHING like the swatch. It is much more pink than brown – I would describe it as a rose gold.
I would definitely recommend searching for Temptalia’s swatches of this shade, much more accurate.
