The infamous sequins are back! Oh dear, I didn’t think I needed any of these, but OMI and Antidote are looking pretty, and the gold lips packaging is cute. Also impressed by how well formulated the dark purple (Deep Void) appears
I’m with Katherine T! Im digging how well the deep dark one swatches, and looks!
Deep Void is EVERYTHING I was hoping that MAC lipstick I got as a freebie would be! Not home, or even close, and forgot its name (embarrassing…) But, these all look beautiful! Antidote is hopefully one of those that just photographs a little sheer or something, as purples can.
I wore Antidote today. Mine isn’t remotely sheer but as my swatches even look better there may be a batch difference. Antidote wore beautifully as a semi-matte on me. It wore off pretty evenly (but only bc I ate ribs!) And, it was actually lightly hydrating. I’m very happy with it. The fact that the case is awesome is just a plus. BUT I’m still finding those bloody sequins on my floor (and I thought I had gotten them all 2 days ago!)
Nancy I think the name is Cyber.
Thank you for the swatches, Christine! I’ve been looking around the interwebz (lol) for a couple of weeks now and have only found two reviewers so far (wasn’t sure if that was good or bad). I’m so torn about these. On the one hand, I love Pat McGrath and her work, and the texture on the lipsticks is intriguing. On the other, matte formulas and I are almost never friends and I have more lipsticks than I could ever wear (also not sure if that is good or bad haha). If I do buy, it will be one of the bright shades, most likely Elson or Full Panic.
How does Elson compare to Blood 1? I’ve tried to find a dupe for Blood 1 for aaages.
Omi is a color I could wear every single day, specially since it appears to be hydrating and rich.
Well hey, compared to those Cle De Peau ones, these are bargain-priced!
I received the violet trio a few days ago and they really are very beautiful. Glad thats the set I went with.
The swatches look really good and there is a great shade range here too.
The bullet has such a different and interesting looking texture. On the lips they look richly pigmented with a bit of a sheen (or maybe it’s the lighting), and not drying like most mattes. Although the bullet itself looks very matte, the swatches appear more like a matte/cream hybrid.
The bullet texture immediately caught my eye, too….and not in a good way. Doesn’t seem to affect the swatches or lips, though. Nothing highly unusual, but maybe not as dupable as they see. These seem like a good core collection, bu PMcG doesn’t do that right? She covered all the bases for lipcolor and skintone, as well as made these grossly financially acceptable. At least comparatively speaking, for the UHE. Nice job
I think, I will end up getting the nude trio. I am waiting for your review though, they don’t appear very matte looking in the pictures, they look more creamy? Although, it’s not a deal breaker for me 🙂 Really loving the rest of your make up too!
Wow they look gorgeous! I have to get at least one, lol
I cannot wait. My Fedex tracking says my 9 piece set will be here on Tuesday, I leave on vacation on Friday so I have a few days to try them out. With my coloring I should be able to pull them all off with finesse.
Hate the sequins, love the products! Obsessed & Full Panic are calling out to me, will definitely get them!
I didn’t want to want any of these but deep void has me like ?!!! I may have to grab that one!
Holy cow, the quality of these looks outstanding. But I’m going to pass – a little pricey for me right now and nothing that looks like I can’t live without it.
Will try and get my hands on a couple of these.
Those are pretty! Easy pass for me though. I don’t think I could easily pull them out. They are so intense! I wanna see that on a woc, did the PR team send any for early reviews? I’ve only seen them from J* and Nikkie tutorials.
Colors for my dark skin are a YES!! Absolutely adorable packaging (minus sequins) are a YES!! Sold in Trip for only $95 is a YES!! One of these sets are coming home with me!
Do these dry more matte? They seem almost satin to me. Loving them though.
Looks like a formula that is easy to over apply, and would best be applied by a lip brush rather than straight from the tube. In addition to the substantial looking texture, they seem very pigmented, so I imagine that a little on a lip brush would go a long way and would make for a cleaner looking application.
I made the mistake of ordering a lipstick during the release of the lip glitter kits. The packaging is so cheap, I hate it, the lipstick is not the color it looked in reviews or online, and the formula isn’t nearly as nice or long wearing as I was lead to believe. So…yeah, pass. Hard pass. Pat McGrath might be an amazing makeup artist, but so far that has not translated to products worth the price or hype.
1995 and OMI are calling my name!!!
I can’t wait to read your review- I’m literally wanting about 7 of these shades! I really loved her first matte formula, so I’m curious how these compare. I’m really loving how all 9 shades look really great on you – it’s a very versatile collection.
The texture of the lipstick looks interesting (in the actual tube). It almost reminds me of styrofoam! LOL!
