Pat McGrath Divine Blush + Glow Trios are currently 40% off at Sephora–$31 now, when they were originally priced at $52 each. It’s new-to-me seeing it in the sale section, so I am not sure if it’ll just be available through their Memorial Day sale (ending 5/30) or it’s been permanently reduced.

There are two variations available: Amber Allure and Galactic Sun. I reviewed both previously, so you can check out swatches or refresh yourself on the performance if desired. Overall, they were a great deal and fairly consistent with the permanent formulas, though! 🙂

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I own the lighter version if the two trios and – to be fully honest – it is the only PMG that has not fully satisfied me. I’m light plus in winter, medium at the apex of the tan in summer. Nevertheless, even in my palest day during the heart of winter, the two blushes are way to light for me.. or maybe is pigmentation issue? To show something on me, I have to us heavy hand just after put my spf50 cre, my only base (I don’t use foundation). Otherwise, zero. Maybe I should have bought the brighter trio instead; but I am windering how a deeper skintone could use this blushes. I an on the fence or trying the deepest trios, but even with 30% of discount, the quality is not worth the pricing (considering that I have a lot of low cost, better performing blushes). On the contrary, the highlighters is a touch too intense on my skin tone for everyday use, at least in winter, with the first tan it is perfect. Maybe still too metallic for my taste.

It’s a pigmentation issue for me. I bought 7 of the 9 blushes when they released and hate them. 2 are too pigmented but the other 5 take so much effort to build up on my NC20ish skin. They remind me of the Clinique blushes and those were a flop too.

This makes me think the brand is really in trouble. They’ve had a perpetual sale for the last several years, anywhere from 20% to oops we allegedly screwed up 50%, on everything including recent releases, and the product sizes got significantly smaller recently. Plus no new mothership and instead, a thinly-veiled skin care money grab that will surely got on sale soon, also.
It’s sad. This has the making of a truly luxury brand but when your stuff is constantly on sale, you’re devaluing the brand. And the reason you would do that is that the market just isn’t supporting your own valuation. And when you do that too often, you piss off everyone who bought stuff at full price.
I have gone from buying every release to focusing on other brands, waiting for the inevitable collapse.
