I am torn on this – on the one hand the colours in the palette look wearable for me and could replace some of the older shadows I have that I need to chuck. However I’m kind of tired of this colour story from pat and last years mega palette had a couple of pans so loosely pressed mine have since crumbled.

Deanne Avatar

Is Pat allergic to transition shades? I could also swear the two quads already exist, I have one nearly identical with the mauve tones. I would love one of the lighter blush and highlight trios though!

P Jill Avatar

Oh, boy! Should have seen this coming! If I have to choose one– I choose one of the blush palettes, as we have all been begging her to release one for the past few seasons.
The eye quad with the blue shadow looks similar to the one released last year. I had a strange reaction after I did an eye look with that blue glitter one morning. In my car on my way to work, my eyesight got quite blurry, and then the other as soon as I arrived. Then I could only see shapes. They didn’t feel gritty at all though . I ended up tossing my contacts and scrubbing/rinsing my eyes of all traces of shadow before my vision returned. ( I finished my entire shift!). But I never used the quad again.

DonnaL Avatar

I feel like I’ve seen a lot of these eyeshadow colors before, especially in the quads. A variation of that gold shade is in almost all of her mothership palettes. The only colors that seem new are the green and teal shades in the larger palette. If you don’t have any of her blushes, the blush/highlight palette might be worth getting.

I wonder if everything will be available on the 23rd – maybe I misread that instagram post but I thought it said the holiday releases start on the 23rd.

Sasha Avatar

The blushes are and so is the highlight in Amber Allure (Golden Nectar), but unless my eyes are deceiving me, it looks like the highlight in Galactic Sun might be a new shade. The price point for the palettes is pretty great considering the amount of product, though.

Sasha Avatar

I was going off of info from various folks on social media and YouTube, but it looks like the main post on this page has since been updated with the shade names and pricing! Turns out I was slightly off about the exact highlight shades – Golden Nectar (already released) is in Galactic Sun, but there’s a new highlight shade in Amber Allure called Venus Nectar.

Valerie Avatar

DEEP SPACE DIVINITY has a duchrone but otherwise very similar color story to CELESTIAL DIVINITY LUXE QUAD: INTERSTELLAR ICONS.

BRONZE BOREALIS is similar to VENUS IN FLEURS LUXE QUAD: VOYEURISTIC VIXEN.

Christina Avatar

Interesting! I’m definitely allergic to her US formula (my eyelids itch and turn pink within half an hour), but your reaction seems much more severe. I was going to say that maybe you got a migraine, for which blurred vision is a symptom, but if clarity returned once you washed it off, that doesn’t seem like it.

Xina Avatar

Not sure who the OP was responding to, but to piggy back on this, I get allergic reactions to her matte brown/mauve colors. Her black is fine and all that glitters are fine but I can’t do her matte browns. Total bummer because when I want to use a palette I have to provide my own mattes.

Chelsea Avatar

You’re not the only one. I had a severe reaction to her Midnight Sun collection. Not my eyes per se. But my eyelid skin was swollen for days. I haven’t bought a palette from her since. But I do love her!

Violet Avatar

The mega palette looks gorgeous, and like the best bang for your buck. I still regret not getting the holiday palette last year, but I never know what to do with palettes that gigantic. I may (or may not) feel the same this year. But that highlighter looks so tempting. I’m a sucker for super luxe design.

raja Avatar

Those two cheek palettes look great!

Will wait for swatches of the new eye palettes. Nothing grabbing me color-wise just yet, but it’s Pat, so I don’t doubt that I may cave and get the big palette.

Z Avatar

This is a very pretty collection. I thought the same of last year’s, but never purchased anything. PMG has gone full-blown charlotte tilbury PINK ALL THE THINGS route and I’m not here for it. Even that beautiful blue and gold quad has a (mauve) pink. Pass. I’d love a highlight, but I remember last year’s being too dark for my skintone (and the ingredients don’t play well with me either). I’m interested in the cheek trios, but I suspect they’ll have silicones in the formulations. So…yeah, looks beautiful, but this year will be a pass too.

Latika Avatar

Omg!❤️❤️🌹 I love these lighter colors! Yay! Everyone can’t wear dark smoky shades!!! I’m totally buying it and I’ll have to see about the blush trios! I also love the rose quad ! I just need her to give us bronzer!!!

Shasta Avatar

Very beautiful and colorful. Corrupt Copper is my favorite shade of hers that I have so far and I’m not mad at all that it’s in this palette also! 🤩🤩🤩 I’m really excited about the quads, especially!

Rosa Avatar

Even if I love PMG eyeshadows, I won’t buy this palette, as I have Celestial Divinity and Rose Decadence ones and I see several eyeshadows similar to the ones I already have. Too bad some of the new ones aren’t available as single eyeshadows, because I am curious to see swatches of those, let’s say from left the fourth in the first line, and the third and the last in the lower line; I’d like to have just those three, looking at the color shown in the pans…

Helene Avatar

I think I’ll be swimming against the tide here, and I’m sorry I do, to be honest.
Let me first say that I love Pat McGrath, I have followed her work for years and think she’s a fantastic artist. I was so excited when she launched her brand, I still have some early single eyeshadows and the gunky gel that’s great for editorials, but hopeless in reality for hooded eyes .
Forward to now.
I have three Motherships, two 6 pan palettes and the mega palette from last year. I have tried her mascara and have a lipstick or two. Out of all this I only use Major Red and it’s been DC’ed.
I have been disappointed and upset with her LE’s and now I can say I’m done, I don’t care. I wish her all the best for the future and I hope all who still want her products will get them without any problems.
I don’t know why I feel this way and maybe I’ll change my mind, who knows.
Having said all that I still will read the reviews, and I hope Christine will do some interesting looks, and that is what I look forward to.
Now, please don’t hate me! 🙂

wildviolette Avatar

I have the mega palette from last year and I use it a ton. It might be the best make-up purchase I’ve ever made. But this one feels a little meh to me. I don’t wear green and most of the other shades are dupe-able for me, so unless I see them swatched and the finishes bring me to my knees, I’m going to sit this one out.

I’m still patiently waiting for a mothership that is mostly purples and burgundy. Think “goth chick” version of the rose motherships and that’s 100% my jam. I’d pay double!

Amie Avatar

I really, really need swatches. I own so much Pat that I need to see how these compare to her others. Those quads are beautiful but I fear they are too similar to older ones. Also want to see that highlighter swatched! Would be so helpful before the launch….

Cat Avatar

Maybe I will purchase the highlighter… because it looks like it would suit my light skin and I love highlighters…. everything else, I will be skipping .. probably…. the last big eyeshadow palette I liked better because of the color scheme.

Sarah C Avatar

I have all four of the repeat shades already, but they’re four that I love (and it’s still better than last year when I already had nearly half of the palette). I ordered right away and have no regrets – except for the gold, which I already have too many of, they all look really interesting.

Kira Avatar

Regarding the new info:

Such a great deal on the cheek trios! I had wanted Desert Orchid as a single already, and this almost tempts me to get the deeper one but I know I won’t use it often enough.

The eyeshadow palette this year is much more neutral friendly, and I can see it as a great travel palette. I’m happy with the repeat shades chosen except Lotus Luxe, which I’ve tried repeatedly but I just don’t like with my skin tone. It’s surprising the quads have all new shades, because they look so similar to past releases.
