Palettes I Wish Existed | Pat McGrath + Natasha Denona Edition

Pat McGrath Dream Palette #1
Pat McGrath Dream Palette #1: Enchanted Forest

I’m desperately waiting for Pat McGrath to create more green eyeshadows.  Like desperately.  I love green! I can just imagine the richness and depth PMG would be able to get, plus… the duochrome/sparkly shades? Yes, please!

Pat McGrath Dream Palette #2
Pat McGrath Dream Palette #2: Subversive Odyssey

I’d love to see a palette with more color, but I am a big fan of slightly more muted, colorful palettes…  This is my interpretation of a space/galaxy-themed color story… but make it muted.

Pat McGrath Dream Palette #3
Pat McGrath Dream Palette #3: Vintage Rose

Give me deep plums with twinkling pinks and lavender!

Natasha Denona Dream Palette #1
Natasha Denona Dream Palette #1: Woodlands

I would love to see a kind of woodland-fairy kind of themed palette from Natasha Denona… a mix of earth tones – green, taupe, plum.  I will never stop loving and wanting more taupes and greens from brands that have top tier eyeshadow formulas! NEVER!

Natasha Denona Dream Palette #2
Natasha Denona Dream Palette #2: Neon Lights

I never realized how much I wanted a bright, more colorful palette from Natasha Denona but now I’m envisioning the formula with brighter and deeper mattes, really creamy, intense metallics… sigh.

What color story would you love to see from a brand? (Which brand, what’s the story, tell me more!)

Christine! My heart raced when I saw the thumbnail and then I deflated when I realized this wasn’t the next release. These are TOO GORGEOUS! If Pat released these, I would buy all three because YOLO. The Natasha Denona Dream Palette #1: Woodlands palette would tempt me, but I would be deterred because I have too many dupes already (obviously love these colors!).

I LOVE color, the majority of the palettes I own are colorful, and I want PM and ND to do more color too. Especially green/teal! I ‘only’ have the ND Gold, Metropolis and Sunrise palettes and zero PM palettes. Apart from those palettes there’s nothing that really strikes my fancy. I really hope they are reading this article to get some inspiration because I’m not gonna lie, I would buy all your mockup palettes in a heartbeat.

Johanna-Laina Avatar

But can you reach out to PML and ND because the Neon Lights palette I would buy FOR SURE. I also wish PML sold more individual shadows with some of the more special shades from the palettes too. Imagine a build your own palette from PML individuals??

Christine Avatar

I have definitely left a comment… or two… or a dozen to PMG/ND about various things I’d like them to release, LOL!

I tweeted to PMG that I’d love some Blitz Astral/VR duos – like the quads but duos. I think that would be more cost effective for consumers to get the “special shades.” I could see an Astral coordinating well with a Blitz/VR/005 kind of shade.

Your imagining of a Pat McGrath ‘Vintage Rose’ palette is what I wanted Urban Decay’s Ultraviolet to be! The inclusion of those peaches & nudes just kinda left me cold. ???‍♀️
I mean, if we’re gonna go purple, let’s go PURPLE, know?! I would also love to have that palette, and the only Pat McGrath eye palette I own is one of the six-pan palettes. But boy howdy, would I shell out the dough for one like that Vintage Rose iteration! ??

Sarah Avatar

I live in a constant search for the elusive and rare Truly Cool-Toned Palette, so I was hopeful when I saw it was purples…and then, as they say, we hit a snag. ? Every time ANOTHER warm-toned eye palette is released, I just go all Miranda Priestly: “A eyeshadow palette of warm-toned neutrals? Groundbreaking.”

Karen Avatar

What a fun post! I too like greens, however I prefer the warmer, more yellow-toned khaki greens. Muted colour also speaks to me, and I love purple so some of what you have said really resonates with me. My ideal palette from Natasha Denona would be a grungier palette, something like her Gold palette and the Melt 420 combined, but with some deep purples, and rusty browns. What a gift that would be.

Jane Avatar

I recently posted on one of the Facebook fan sites for PMG Labs my wishes and one with purples is definitely on the list. With Natasha Denona, I’m still looking for that winter frosty one in blues, greens and silvers!

First, the PMG Enchanted Forest would be an instant buy for me. Second, I’m pretty sure it would be my “if you could only have one palette for the rest of your life” desert island palette. Third, would I wear eyeshadow on a desert island? Yes, if I had this palette! I would also the Vintage Rose and ND Woodlands palette.

And i second/third/fourth all the comments that these are amazing, and I love that you make these while at the same time hate it just a little, because they don’t instantly appear for purchase!

Swoozy Avatar

Oh the PMG Enchanted Forest is really nice. She’s made what appear to be great greens, but I emphasize APPEAR, because I haven’t been able to try them since it’s been one green in a few palettes. If she did a green-based palettes or made those greens stand alones/build your own palette, I would be all over it.

Having a look to the first picture, My first though was ‘hey, it’s georgious. This is the PMG’s colour story that really appeals me’. Then I realized that they were your proposal. Let me say that you arrange colour much much much more better that all the brands… If you ever start creating pallette, I think my wallet is going to become very light eheh

These are beautiful! I don’t own any of the larger mothership from Pat but would have a hard time resisting the green and purple.

I would love ND to do the six pan face palettes with matching blush, highlighter and bronzer in both cream and powder form. Peach please! Everyone likes peach right?

Brenda Avatar

Christine, these are gorgeous! All 5 took my breath and it was love at first sight. I would purchase all of them as soon as released. My bank account is grateful they only exist here for now.

I’d also love for Natasha to do smaller 15 pan version of Mini Glam.

Pami Avatar

Yes! Those Pat McGrath Mothership palettes are what I’ve been wishing for from her! Plenty of gorgeous and neutral to cool shades that I dream of! And while a gold shadow fits right in with Enchanted forest, it’s especially refreshing to NOT see a gold in the other two! Sign me up 😉

O. M. G., Do I wish SOOOOO BADLY that these were real!!! They would ALL be MINE….ASAP!!!! The prettiest, most perfectly curated palettes I think I’ve EVER seen!!! You could be a freaking BILLIONAIRE, Christine, I hope PMG and ND are seeing this post and take it seriously, cuz these are ALL honestly BREATHTAKING!!!

Mollie Avatar

This may be a stupid question but I would love to know how did you create these images? Did you photoshop together images from photos of other eyeshadows that you took or did you create the images “from scratch”?. They look so real. Very impressive! 🙂

~*moi*~ Avatar

so i guess there is really no dupes for these shades then? because if you had dupes for the ND mockup, i would be buying singles and making my own in a magnetic palette! that is fan freaking tas tic!!!!

~*moi*~ Avatar

bummer! i was hoping you had used some of your favorite colors as inspiration so i could try to track down all the greens! i probably have enough to last a lifetime, but i would still want to buy that one if they listened to you and made it a reality. i second and third the notion that you could be a creative consultant!

Liz Avatar

I’ve never commented before but have been reading your posts for a while and THIS is why I keep coming back. You have such a great understanding of colour theory and an eye for colour combinations. I don’t own any Pat Mcgrath or Natasha Denona but if they did something like this that would change in a heartbeat. There are too many similar warm palettes out there already & my purchasing has slowed down in part because of that. Let’s hope the people in the know read these comments and take note!!
