Orly Flare Nail Lacquer

Orly Flare Nail Lacquer ($8.50 for 0.60 fl. oz.) is a frosted, metallic gold with a strong yellow undertone. Chanel Gold Fingers has flecks of sparkle but is similar in color. SpaRitual Solstice is darker, more orange-gold. SpaRitual Golden Gleam is more orange, metallic.

It was mostly opaque after two coats, but it did apply unevenly and would drag if you didn’t wait for the first coat to dry entirely. The consistency was a little thick, and it didn’t level out fully. I’m usually impressed by Orly, but Flare was somewhat disappointing. I normally get a week of wear with very minor tip wear with Orly’s polish.

I would have to disagree with that. Glitz & Glamour is more intense and not as sheer. The colour is slightly different too. Can’t really describe the colour difference but I have both and I can tell they are not the same. Similar nonetheless. I do like texture and colour of Glitz & Glamour better.

The opacity doesn’t look too bad for just 2 coats to me, but after getting OPI Goldeneye my gold foil polish needs are pretty much fulfilled so I don’t need this.

I really prefer Goldeneye from OPI, much more intense. I thought I would buy from the Fired Up Collection but I didn’t. I found many beautiful OPI nail polishes ( Germany, James Bond Collection ) and I got my 2 first Deborah Lippmann ( Mermaid’s Dream and Across the Universe ) so great !
